' Shit! I underestimated your power ', Jin cursed, gritting his teeth in annoyance.

Then suddenly * smirk *, a wide smirk from cheek to cheek appeared on his face.

' But you underestimated my intelligence ', he continued.

* HAHAHAHAHAHA...*, he suddenly burst into a loud psychopathic laughter that reverberated across the forest.

At this point, Lenox knew something was up.

Rodiku, who was spectating from atop the tree also had a dumbfounded look as he couldn't understand why he would be laughing in his condition.

' This one was good, but I already figured out it's weakness ', Jin revealed.

Lenox stood unmoved by this revelation as he was still so confident in his joints paralysis.

' Remember my favorite surprise attack, lighter bomb ', Jin asked, trying to give Lenox a hint.

Lenox shook his head in disappoinment before speaking, ' Yeah I remember, but I'm sorry to tell you it won't work. Not this time. I thought you would have noticed by now. Why don't you try it then. My joints paralysis has blocked all your energy channels. I infused my earth elemental energy into mere earth particles and sneak them through your system. It doesn't seem like much but when gathered in large masses over time , I can use them to choke your energy channels. By so doing, I rid you of your trump card and most of your energy as well. Do you still think, you have a surprise attack? Hmmm? '

' Hehehe ', Lenox giggled after seeing the disappointed look on Jin's face.

* SIGH *. Jin let out a sigh before talking, ' So do you think I'm this stupid? For crying out loud I'm a charley ranked. Lighter bomb, submerge! '

After shouting out the last word, Lenox felt the space around him twist and become super dense.

So dense than he felt his energy being suppressed and reduced.

Suddenly, blue energy orbs the size of a baby's fist started appearing all around him. They numbered up to 50 and surrounded him, leaving no room for escape.

Some were even underneath the ground upon which he stood.

Lightening worms were swimming violently within the orbs.

Seeing how unstable and dense the orbs were, Lenox knew a single orb could blast him into smiterrings.

' So what is it gonna be ', Jin asked still with a poker face.

Lenox stared at him with a disturbed look before speaking, ' fine, you win. I forfeit the match '

' Hahahaha ', Jin couldn't help but laugh after seeing Lenox pout in dissatisfaction.

They both deactivated their powers before engaging in a conversation.

Up on a very huge tree stood a 5'3 tall boy who stared down with a look of ridicule.

He seemed overly shocked about something that was known to him alone

' What the fuck! He's already charley ranked? Monsters, this school must have been made for monsters. His lightening ability wouldn't be graded any less than B. So unfair, why do...', he kept thinking about how overpowered Jin was.

On the other hand, Jin and Lenox were having a chat of their own.

' Still bro... This is a lot to take in. When did you break through to the charley rank? And I thought I finally caught up to you ', Lenox said with a crestfallen look.

' Come on, don't be like that. You'll make it through as well ', Jin cheered him.

' Bro you can practically build a bomb into anyone. This is an automatic win for all future battles ', Lenox voiced out his imaginations.

' Yeah practically, but not into everyone. Anyone on par with me or higher than me can suppress the energy, if not absorb it. But anyone weaker than me doesn't stand a chance ', Jin clarified.

' Not fair! And you call what we had a battle, it was ass whooping. You could have turned me into a bomb all along so what were my chances of winning? Zero! You bully! ', Lenox retorted.

' Hahaha, come on. Don't be like that. You did well though ', Jin said whiles rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.

' You sure I...', Lenox was talking when.

FWOOMMMM! BAM! CRACK!

The sound of great impact and bone shuttering reverberated across the environment.

'Huh?'

' Eh?'

Both Jin and Lenox were surprised to hear such a sound, since they thought they were alone over there.

They turned around only to see a boy with short black hair clad in a sea blue hoodie and a white jeans shorts. There was actually nothing special about his looks.

' Who the fuck! Were you spying on us? Hey, I'm talking to you! ', Lenox exclaimed, seemingly enraged.

' Eek! Spy? No, I'm not doing anything of that sort ', Rodiku answered in a quick succession, probably scared shitless.

' Eerh! A spy? Hehehe ', Jin giggled as he approached Rodiku who was already shaking and sweating.

I mean, you can't blame him. Not after finding out what Lenox was capable of, not to talk of Jin.

' I swear, I wasn't spying on you ', he said in a crying tone.

' Stop being pathetic and man up for your actions ', Jin said in disgust

' Since he was spying on our private battle, let's give him a piece of it ', Lenox proposed

' Hahaha yeaaah! Get up dweeb! ', Jin exclaimed in support of Lenox's proposal.

At this point, Rodiku knew he was done for.

He could only pray for them to spare his life.

As for the ass whooping, it was inevitable.

' Are you deaf or what? Get up punk! ', Jin exclaimed again, this time in annoyance.

' Shit! I'm done for. Just one hit and I'm a goner. Maybe I should let them know I am powerless. Yeah...', he thought as he rose to his feet, forgetting he broke one leg from the previous fall.

' Hey what are you doing? Are you pissing your pants? Dude you're pissing your pants ', Lenox said whiles staring at the wet part of Rodiku's jeans shorts.

' Please spare me, I have no powers! ', Rodiku shouted as Jin held his right wrist.

' Shut up! You're too pathetic to be in this school ', Jin ignored his plea

He casually swang him across the air and smacked his back onto the ground.

* Blerg*. Blood spilled out of his mouth as the sound of bone shattering rang out of his being.

His eyes suddenly rolled to the back.

As if that was not enough, Jin repeated the process again, and again, and again and again.

' I'll break every bone in his body, he'll only get healed later. That should be enough to rid him of his pathetic nature. He reminds me too much of my self back then. I must help him the same way I was helped ', Jin thought as he kept smashing Rodiku around with casual swings.

' Who is this guy? Is he planning on killing me? But I'm too young to die, I'm only thirteen. Why do I feel no pain in my body? Wait a minute... Am I dying? Like this? Shit! Hell, no! I can't accept this. I never really valued my life but dying from casual swings from a high school student is just too much. At least I should die a memorable death. This ass hole, can't he feel my blood running cold? Shit, what do I do? I mean, dying like this isn't that bad either. It's painless. Fuck, is this how I'll repay Master Yung for all his care? Dying like this and making all his efforts go to waste? No, definitely not. What would he advice me to do if he was here? I never tried it but I keep judging it to be futile. It's almost like something doesn't want me praying. Damn man, I'm just making excuses. Hmmm, should I try it? But even now, I feel like it's futile even though I haven't tried it. Shit, I'm definitely gonna give it a shot. At least if I die, I know I listened to the old man for once before dying. That should be compensating enough for him, right? Hmm, come to think of it, how do you even pray? ', Rodiku's consciousness lived it's final moments as his body was now made up of several broken bones and messy flesh.

' Yo Jin that's enough! ', Lenox tried to stop Jin from killing Rodiku since he has been smashing his body to the ground for almost a minute now.

' Stay back! He needs to let go of that pathetic nature. He needs his body completely broken and rebuilt. I was once like him you know ', Jin explained as he kept making a mess out of Rodiku's body.

' I don't know why but I feel like you really need help. I'm sure you're at least echo ranked to be accepted in this school. No echo ranked should die from this, otherwise I should have been dead long ago ', Jin thought as he kept at it, completely ignoring Lenox's plea

' ... like I said, if I survive. I'll never doubt the existence of the so called gods. Ahem... I mean the gods. Just save me already, if you're a higher existence. Damn! What am I thinking? Of course there's no...'

* GONG!!! * Rodiku was about doubting the potency of his prayer when a loud sound rand out at a mind blowing frequency.

The sound was literally blowing out Rodiku's consciousness as it was fading into nothingness.

As everything was about to be plain white, the last of Rodiku's consciousness saw a figure.

A black masculine build.

The figure looked like a man made of black matter as he was pitch black with what seemed like blue energy phasing out of different parts of his body.

His figure gave off the feeling of power and freedom.

He was staring at the fading consciousness of Rodiku.

Just then, he turned to face a massive figure that looked like the sun.

The last thing Rodiku saw was this figure bowing before the other figure that rivaled the sun's light.

After that, everything when blank in his head.

Rodiku's battered body was lying lifeless on the floor.

' Shit! You killed him, Jin. There's no way he's alive even if he's an echo ranked. He is probably...'

' Shut up! He's not dead. His just undergoing transition ', he cut Lenox short before he could finish his statement.

*** FIVE DAYS LATER ***

' Awww! My head aches like hell ', Rodiku cried as he held his head.

' Eh? ', he was surprised to see that he was on a sick bed which meant he was in the hospital.

' Aww! What happened to...', he paused the question as soon as scenes from the forest event started playing out in his head.

' Yeah... That's what happened. Some psycho broke every bone in my body and I died ', he muttered underneath his breath after remembering how Jin mishandled his body.

* SIGH * ' That ass hole. I can't believe he killed... Wait a minute...', his eyes were wide opened as his mouth hanged from realizing he survived.

' The heck!? I'm... I survived? ', he was overly shocked at the occurance.

There was no way an ordinary human could survive what Jin did to him .

' Did my...It can't be. My prayers worked? ', he was in disbelief even though he was alive in the hospital.

He was still in his reverie when suddenly...

[ Host has regained consciousness ]

[ Welcome back ]

[ Does host wish to activate system interface? ]

[ Yes ] [ No ]

' Huh? Get lost! ', he retorted as he thought he was imagining things.

[ Does host wish to put system fusion on hold? ]

[ Yes ] [ No ]

' What the heck? Am I on drugs? Get lost! I'm definitely tripping ', he retorted again

[ Host's answer has been translated to ' Yes' ]

[ System fusion is now on hold ]

' What did the nurses give me to save me? It's making me trip had over here ', he thought.

The door to his room slid open only to reveal a young lady who didn't looked a day over twenty two. She had short brown hair which complemented her beautiful brown eyes. She was dressed like a nurse which was exactly what she was.

' Oh you're awake ', she said in a glad tone.

Rodiku just stared at her without uttering a word.

She wasn't bothered as she thought he was just too tired to talk.

' This is good, cus your roommates came to visit you. They should be here in a minute ', she revealed with a smile only to be confused by the dumbfounded look on Rodiku's face.

' What roommates? Am I still tripping? Maybe I should ask her what drugs they gave me to save me ', he thought with a disturbed look on his face.

' Hey nurse. Can u tell me...'

* SWOOOSH *

Before he could finish asking his question, the door slid open.

Two figures immediately walked in.

One had a spiky blue hair with bright blue eyes whiles the other hand short blonde hair with brown eyes.

As soon as Rodiku saw them, his heart beat increased drastically.

' Oh your roommates are here ', the nurse said.

' Jin and Lenox are my roommates? Shit! ', he thought as he stared at Jin in dread

' Hello Rodiku ', Jin said as he approached him.
