Trigger Cell 'Lawlessness '

From a distance, three boys could be seen walking towards the boys dormitory.

They seemed to be engaged in a conversation as they slowly approached the building.

' ... what the heck! I still can't believe you just assumed I was an echo ranked ', the boy in the middle said in an offended tone.

' Come on Rodi, don't be like that ', said the boy on the right who had blue spiky hair.

' Yh dude, Jin was just trying to help. At least that's what he said ', the one on the left said while scratching the back of his head in clear uncertainty.

' Lenox! You're not helping ', the boy on the right, who happened to be Jin complained.

' I'm sorry but you don't look innocent, no matter how you look at it. I'm just glad he survived somehow. Otherwise, this could have been bad for all of us ', Lenox said , feeling like they just escaped the biggest problem in the world.

' But still, I don't understand how someone like you ended up in CSA. You still haven't come clear on how CSA admitted you, even though we understand you're academically good ', Jin said whiles staring at Rodiku who walked between the two.

' Yeah man, we all know that CSA doesn't give a crap about intelligence without an ability complimenting it ', Lenox supported whiles also staring at Rodiku for an explanation.

Rodiku made a sudden stop, making the others stop as well.

* SIGH *. Rodiku let out a long sigh before speaking, ' Look, I'm just as ignorant as you are on this topic. As a matter of fact, when it came to me that I was admitted and had to prepare for school, I refused to believe it. It was just too dreamy to be true. Hm... But still, I think it has something to do with that old man. I'm sure he has a lot to do with it, cus he arranged everything in VIP style. Even my personal belongings was here waiting for me. Haaa... It's no use thinking about it now, I just have to find a way to have a good stand in the school. Though I know that's impossible. Of course, unless I magically awaken an ability '

At this point, no one wanted to keep on at this topic, cus it was very obvious how deep it takes Rodiku.

' Anyways, don't worry about getting bullied. We'll protect you. As of now, we're the best of friends ', Lenox said with his eyes brimming with determination.

' Yeah, you can definitely count on us ', Jin supported.

' Hehe... Thanks guys, but since we didn't end up in the same class, you can't really do much. But still, I appreciate your concern ', Rodiku said with a visible smile on his face.

This was another one of those unusual moments, when he smiles.

It was really unusual of him to smile, as most of the people at the orphanage has never seen him smile even ones.

Always with the poker face or the bored and uninterested look.

' Who says we can't do much? We will always meet up during break. So we'll basically be seen together most times ', Jin boldly declared excitedly.

' But won't that cause you trouble? I mean, you might be targeted by stronger students ', Rodiku asked with a look of concern.

' Don't worry about that. Besides, we've caused you more trouble than that. It's okay ', Jin assured

Lenox only nodded in support.

Then they continued walking to the dormitory.

*** 45 Minutes Ago ***

Back in the hospital, after Jin and Lenox entered Rodiku's room, they introduced themselves as his roommates.

Rodiku started throwing accusations at Jin for breaking his ass.

' Shut up prick! Is this how you thank me for saving your life? I brought you to the hospital, be grateful you coward! ', Jin fussed in anger.

' Huh? Wh_what does that even mean. You tried to kill me you blue head lizard! You wouldn't have to bring me to the hospital if you didn't nearly kill me! How's that you saving me!? ', Rodiku spilled out in anger.

' Oh give me a break! Even a falcon ranked would survive that and you can't be any lower than echo ranked. So quit your excuse of nearly dying. You're just a balless coward!. I would break every...', Jin was speaking when he suddenly got interrupted.

' Wait a minute! ', the nurse who has been standing with a dumbfounded look all this while finally spoke.

' Ehn ! ', Jin turned to the nurse, hoping to find out why she's interrupting now.

' I'm_ sorry but, did you just say he's above echo rank ', the young beautiful nurse asked with a cute voice.

' Yeah, what about it ', Jin questioned, still not getting why she interrupted.

' ??? ', at this point, Rodiku felt like face palming.

' I'm sorry mister, you've got it all mixed up. Rodiku actually has no ability, he's a mere human. His body is naturally weak and fragile ', she revealed.

' Eek! Was this the best way she could put it? And they blame me for disliking girls, hmph! ', Rodiku's face showed confliction as he thought.

Both Jin and Lenox stared at the nurse like she was yet to give them the information they were expecting.

After staring for a few seconds without any other information coming out of the nurse, he turned to continue his argument with Rodiku.

' Did he not hear me or what ', the nurse had a somewhat angry expression on her face.

' Thank me now, you ungrateful bastard. I bestowed it upon myself to cure you of your balless nature and this is how you...'

' Did you not hear the nurse or what!? Are you even paying attention to anything? I am powerless! I have no powers, dummy! All you did was smash a regular basic human body on the floor countless times. That saves who!? ', Rodiku vociferated loudly.

' Wait you're serious? You mean, you're a powerless being? ', Jin asked, now with a cool tone.

* SIGH *. ' If you listened from day one, this wouldn't have happened ', Rodiku also seemed a bit calm now that Jin was paying attention.

' Shit! So like, Jin smashing your body all over with sounds of bone shattering and flesh ripping apart reverberating across the entire vicinity, you were just a mere human going through that? ', Lenox asked, giving more emphasis on how Rodiku's body was delt with.

That revelation enlightened the nurse, now understanding why Rodiku looked so battered when they brought him in.

' Wait a minute, that can't be true. If you're powerless, how did you end up in CSA? ', Jin asked, still not wanting to accept the information before him.

' Did you not check his Student Aid Device? It's ranked [ ??? ] ', the nurse badged in before Rodiku could answer.

' We did,but we thought it wasn't yet registered into the system ', Lenox answered in place of Jin who had a look of shock on his face.

He was probably thinking about how bad things could have ended, since he gave Rodiku quite a beating.

' How did a powerless person survive that? ', that was the only question that Jin cared to find answers to.

' Well technically, he's not powerless. He just hasn't awakened yet, though the chances that he can awaken at his age is 1 out of 100. That's as good as he won't be able to awaken any ability, which brings us back to, he's powerless ', the nurse explained.

' What!? I have a chance at awakening? ', Rodiku was stunned by the revelation.

All in all, Jin and Lenox apologized to Rodiku and promised to make up for the condition they put him in.

That led to they becoming friends right there, as they discussed more whiles waiting for the nurse to finish up the documentations for discharging Rodiku.

The nurse also agreed to compromise and change the story in her report in order not to get Jin into trouble.

*** Presently ***

It was already 11 pm late night.

Lenox was a video game addict, so he never went anywhere without his video game.

They played all night as they had nothing to do until tomorrow.

Rodiku was new to video games so Lenox had to give him a beginner's guide to play.

Before long, he had already familiarized himself with all the rules and tricks.

He was now playing like a pro, which made both Jin and Lenox wonder how intelligent he actually was.

After playing for hours and having fun, it was now eleven , so they decided to sleep to refresh themselves for tomorrow.

Initially, Rodiku thought he wouldn't have to associate himself with his roommates, since the room was big enough.

But now, due to their new found relationship, they had changed the arrangement of the room.

They occupied one side together, leaving the remaining wide space for other things like hand to hand combat.

It was currently 11:16 pm late night and the trio was on their beds taking a nap.

Rodiku spent some time reflecting on the things that happened today.

He was quite grateful that things turned out the way they did.

Now he has friends who also happened to be his roommates.

On top of that, now he knows he still has a chance at awakening, even though it's too low.

For the first time in forever, he felt a bit of hope in his heart.

The feeling of satisfaction left him with a smile as he fell asleep.

Deep within his sleep, Rodiku could feel a suction force pulling his conscience out of his body.

It was as if he was dying in his sleep.

Just then, * GONG *

A loud sound rung out in his head at a mind blowing frequency.

Suddenly, Rodiku appeared in a space.

For as far as he could see, the color white dominated as he couldn't see anything but a white endless space.

Just then, he felt a sharp piercing gaze.

It came with the feeling of an overwhelming presence.

Rodiku who was already sweating from the pressure and fear from the sharp gaze , turned around towards it's direction.

He was met with an endless black space which was the complete opposite of the pure white space.

Rodiku's eyes met with two ferocious humongous eyes within the black space.

They were billions of light years away and that was why he could see the entire eyes.

If he were to be compared to the actual size of the eyes, he would be as microscopic as an electron compared to the earth.

The pressure of it's gaze alone was as compelling as the commandment of a god.

Ever since Rodiku felt the presence, he hasn't been able to talk or think straight as his thoughts where flowing in circles, making him end at the beginning of his thoughts.

Due to this, he couldn't comprehend the situation in the slightest.

At this point, every fibre of his being had submitted to this unknown presence.

As consequences of staring into this unknown eyes for too long, Rodiku started bleeding from all his orifices.

In a few, his whole being was stained in his own blood.

That was when his confused mind came to a conclusion.

' This is either the gaze of a god or the most powerful demon ', he thought with his eyes wide open in dread and his entire body trembling.

* BAM!!! *

Both eyes suddenly shut closed.

The sound of collision created from the eyes echoed across the black space.

The frequency of the sound blew out his ear drums whiles piercing every fiber of his being.

* AAAHHHHH!!! *

* RRAAAAAHHHHHH... *

Rodiku screamed as loud as his mortal body could scream.

The pain he felt from the sound waves slamming into him was beyond description.

He could feel his brain cells get pierced by sharp sound waves.

In a situation like this, death was all he wished for.

Rodiku kept screaming at the peak of his voice until he lost the ability to produce sound, as his vocals had ripped apart.

His eye balls had completely rolled to the back but he was still conscious of the pain.

He couldn't scream anymore but he was undoubtedly screaming in his mind as the pain continued.

Just then, he heard a voice that liberated him from his plight.

* BOOMMMM!!! *

At first, the voice started off as a galactic explosion.

Then the sound waves slammed into Rodiku, which immediately wiped him out.

It was too intensive for him to feel the pain from it.

Before he would be completely annihilated, he heard the words that traveled as an explosion.

' FOOLISH MORTAL. YOU DARE PUT MY WILL ON HOLD!!!? ', the voice echoed into his being before getting wiped out in an instant.

' Haaa! Haa! Huu... Haa... Huu...', Rodiku woke up panting and breathing heavily whiles soaked up in sweat.

His whole body ached badly with every attempt to move, which he failed to.

All he could do was sit still, whiles contemplating on his encounter.

It was undoubtedly an overwhelming one.

' What was that? Wa_ was it a dream? It felt too real to be a dream. And that voice. That voice said something. What was it? Oh yes, it said something about...'

' ??? '

Rodiku was still in the middle of processing everything he encountered, when a paralysing shock run through his spine up his brain. He turned speechless for a while and then passed out.

*** The Next Day ***

' Wake up! Wake up, Rodi. Hey! It's 6 am already. There's no time ', a guy with blonde hair called out hastily.

' Hmmm? But I want to sleep more ', Rodiku replied sleepily.

' Grab his lazy ass out of bed before I get there, Lenox! ', Jin yelled from the bathhouse.

* BAM! *

' Hey lazy bones, get up already! ', Lenox gave Rodiku a heavy spank on his back before shouting directly into his ears.

' I'm awake! ', Rodiku exclaimed whiles getting up.

' It's already 6 , we're going to get late. Go get your bath already ', Lenox said whiles hastily walking to his wardrobe.

' Aww! My head aches, what happened yesterday ', Rodiku asked, having no memory of his encounter last night.

' We played video games all night, now hurry. There's no time to waste ', Lenox answered.

' Ehn? Why do I feel like there was really more than just video games. Well, there's no point in stressing. I better get hasty as well ', he just shrugged off the thought of he missing out on something and started preparing for school.

' Hey Jin, you've seen my towel? ', he asked.

' Why the hell will you ask me about that!? ', Jin answered in annoyance.
