Chapter 16: ch16
That slightly immature voice delivered such arrogant words, but everyone present found them entirely justified.
Why?
Because a mere Chūnin was defeated by a five-year-old Ethan Uchiha almost instantly, without even putting up any real resistance. If this doesn't prove Ethan's strength, what does?
At the very least, this battle demonstrated that Ethan was significantly stronger than the average Chūnin. Perhaps the legendary Uchiha clan's bloodline limit, the Sharingan, contributed to his victory.
Is it unfair that Ethan carries such a powerful bloodline ability? Of course not. It's his inherent power. Expecting him to "play fair" by removing his Sharingan before the fight would be absurd.
As an observer, I found the battle somewhat dull. Still, I had to acknowledge that the Uchiha clan had produced yet another extraordinary genius. Compared to Fugaku Uchiha, the young patriarch known for his talent, Ethan stood on another level.
At least, at five, Fugaku wouldn't have been able to defeat a Chūnin one-on-one. But Ethan did—quickly and decisively.
"Ugh, how boring. I came here expecting to see that brat get beaten up," Tsunade grumbled, visibly annoyed as she watched Ethan claim victory at the center of the training ground. Naturally, she wouldn't miss such a significant event.
But things hadn't gone the way she hoped. Instead, Ethan had shown off, and that irritated her the most.
Nearby, Jiraiya and Orochimaru were watching too, each with different reactions. Jiraiya was envious. If only he'd had Ethan's talent, he could've easily achieved anything—perhaps even winning over countless admirers.
Orochimaru, on the other hand, was intrigued. Ethan had piqued his interest.
"It would be great if such a genius were part of my Hyuga clan," Hiashi Hyuga, the clan leader, remarked as he observed Ethan. With his sharp perception, he didn't even need his Byakugan to recognize Ethan's talent. It was clear that Ethan's strength wasn't solely due to his Sharingan.
When Ethan used his *Genjutsu: Sharingan*, there was a slight fluctuation in his chakra. According to Hiashi's perception, Ethan's chakra level was already at least on par with that of a Chūnin. Even without his Sharingan, having such chakra at five years old was almost unheard of.
The other clan leaders were buzzing with conversation, mostly expressing envy toward the Uchiha. Genius might seem like a simple word, but how many true geniuses existed? While it was common for major clans to have one or two, for smaller families, even producing one would be cause for great celebration.
Back on the field, shortly after Ethan's bold words, a familiar voice echoed in his mind: the sound of his system.
"Ding! The host successfully displayed dominance. Pretend points +6666!"
"Ding! Pretend points automatically allocated: Jōnin-level Chakra +1333, Three Tomoe Sharingan +3333, C-level Fire Release: Flame Bullet +1000, C-level Fire Release: Dragon Flame Bullet +1000."
"Ding! Jōnin-level Chakra (2066/10000), experience not yet full. Keep working hard to level up!"
"Ding! Three Tomoe Sharingan (5672/10000), experience not yet full. Continue to improve!"
"Ding! C-level Fire Release: Flame Bullet (1334/1000), experience full. Starting upgrade."
"Ding! Upgrade successful. Acquired: B-level Fire Release: Flame Bullet (334/10000)."
"Ding! C-level Fire Release: Dragon Flame Bullet (1001/1000), experience full. Starting upgrade."
"Ding! Upgrade successful. Acquired: B-level Fire Release: Dragon Flame Bullet (1/10000)."
In an instant, Ethan felt a surge of progress. Both of his fire techniques had been upgraded, and his chakra had increased significantly. His Three Tomoe Sharingan had also advanced by over one and a half stages.
This realization hit Ethan hard—earning massive power boosts required putting on a show in front of powerful people. This time, he had succeeded immensely. It was worth graduating early just for this moment. But such opportunities were rare, and he knew he couldn't afford to stop now.
Ethan, as always, was ready to keep pushing boundaries.
He then directed his gaze toward the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was standing nearby.
"Lord Hokage, this graduation assessment was far too easy. Let's raise the difficulty. How about sending three more Jōnins? Otherwise, I'll lose interest," Ethan said, his tone dripping with disdain.
His words expressed total disregard for Jōnins, implying that even one wouldn't be enough to challenge him. He casually demanded three.
This arrogance sent a wave of irritation through the crowd.
Someone was certainly showing off, and it seemed there would be no stopping him!
