Chapter 17: ch17
In an instant, Ethan Uchiha gained 9999 Pretend Points. Under the system's automatic allocation, a small portion went towards enhancing his Chakra and Sharingan, while the bulk was invested in the B-level Blast Body Flicker Technique.
Perfect timing.
With 9000 points allocated, his Blast Body Flicker Technique's experience bar maxed out, allowing it to evolve into the A-level Wind-Thunder Body Flicker Technique. As the information about this new technique flowed into his mind, Ethan couldn't help but feel that it was worth it.
The upgrade was a big win.
Originally, the Blast Body Flicker Technique only utilized wind-style chakra to enhance his speed. But now, after upgrading to the Wind-Thunder Body Flicker Technique, he could combine wind-style chakra with lightning-style chakra to stimulate his cells. This dual Nature Transformation not only increased his speed but also enveloped his body in wind and lightning.
When attacking, the wind nature made him faster, while the lightning caused paralysis upon contact with enemies. And despite all these enhancements, the chakra consumption remained moderate. For someone with Jōnin-level chakra reserves, this was no big deal.
Initially, he had been bluffing when he challenged the three Jōnins.
He wasn't even sure if he could defeat them.
But now?
Sorry, bring on all three Jōnins.
Ethan Uchiha was no longer afraid.
In fact, with his newfound strength, he set a new goal: during the Fourth Great Ninja War, he would defeat Madara Uchiha in front of the entire ninja alliance. The thought of it made his heart race with excitement. He couldn't wait to find Madara, stomp him down, and then show off in front of the Hokage and the clan leaders of Konoha.
---
"What an arrogant brat," Hiruzen Sarutobi muttered with a dark expression after hearing Ethan's bold statement.
Good grief.
Ethan had the audacity to challenge three Jōnins right in front of him.
At that moment, before Hiruzen could respond, Danzo Shimura spoke up. "Hiruzen, since he insists, let's grant his wish."
With a gesture from Danzo, three Anbu-like figures appeared near Ethan.
Ethan glanced at them and felt as though he were staring at three emotionless machines—cold, robotic, like puppets on strings.
"Danzo, you..."
"Hiruzen, this is what the boy asked for," Danzo interrupted. "I'm just meeting his request. Isn't that right, young Ethan Uchiha?"
Hiruzen's face twisted with anger, clearly irritated at Danzo for acting on his own. He was about to lash out but held his tongue.
Everyone assumed Ethan would back down when confronted with the real pressure of fighting three Jōnins. But Ethan's next words shattered that notion.
"Hmm, these three Jōnins seem weak. How about sending two more?"
Stunned silence.
Did he just ask for more?
He was already facing three Jōnins and still wasn't satisfied?
The crowd was speechless.
Everyone thought: This kid is asking for it.
---
"This boy..." Tsunade sighed, shaking her head in disbelief.
"He's about to get beaten up," Jiraiya commented.
Orochimaru, however, disagreed. "I actually like this kid."
---
"Kakashi, promise me you won't pick up any of his habits," Sakumo Hatake warned as he ruffled his four-year-old son's hair.
"Why not? I think he's cool," little Kakashi replied innocently.
In Kakashi's eyes, Ethan Uchiha was incredible. After all, what kid didn't want to be the star of the show?
Kakashi's eyes sparkled as he watched Ethan in the arena, determined to someday emulate him.
"Son," Sakumo sighed inwardly, "I'm just worried that after you copy him, I won't recognize my own son when you're brought home after a beating."
---
Even though Ethan Uchiha was incredibly talented—achieving this level of power at just five years old—the general consensus was that talent had limits.
In the face of three Jōnins, unless Ethan had reached Kage-level strength, his overconfidence was about to blow up in his face.
