Chapter 9: 9 Hate All Females!
Olivia asked curiously, "Who is it?"
"I don't know, the person was already gone by the time I opened the door," Andrew placed the pouch in front of her,
"This was left on the ground, probably by that person."
Olivia saw that the pouch was filled with red dates, and couldn't help but show surprise, "So many red dates!"
Andrew asked, "Do you want to eat?"
Olivia shook her head, "No, you've given me enough dates. These were left at the doctor's doorstep. They must be for Doctor Bert."
Andrew set the pouch aside, then reached out to touch Olivia's intimate areas, frowning, "Why are you still bleeding?"
Olivia blushed, "It usually takes four days. It's still early."
"So much blood, are you sure you won't die?" Andrew was worried.
"I'll be fine. Don't worry about me."
Seeing Olivia's confident look, Andrew had to temporarily set aside his worries.
Before long, the old doctor returned.
Bert inquired about Olivia's health as usual, confirmed she was fine, and relaxed a bit.
Andrew handed the pouch filled with red dates to Bert.
"This was left at your doorstep."
Bert picked up some red dates, examined them, then sniffed them near his nose. A meaningful smile immediately appeared on his wrinkled face.
He handed the pouch to Olivia, "This is for you. Go ahead and eat."
"No, I do not have any friends here."
"Trust me, it's for you!"
Before Olivia could ask further, Bert happily walked away with his cane.
He found Bill on a huge rock.
His silver-white short hair gently swaying in the breeze, softening his sharp features.
Although Bert was old, he was still agile.
He effortlessly jumped onto the rock, raised his hand and tapped Bill's head, laughing, "Dare to hit even a female, you're really something!"
Bill sat motionless, glanced at the old doctor, and snorted, "I'll hit anyone who does wrong, regardless of gender!"
"But she didn't do anything wrong, you misunderstood her!"
Bill fell silent.
"Go apologize to her, then this misunderstanding will be over."
Bill turned his face away, "I won't apologize to a female!"
Bert chuckled, "Clearly you like her a lot, yet you pretend to dislike her. Where did you learn such a stubborn attitude?"
"I don't like her at all! I hate all females!"
"If you dislike her, why did you secretly send her red dates?"
"What red dates? I have no idea what you're talking about!"
"Don't pretend? I could smell your scent on those red dates right away!"
Bill's ears turned slightly red, but he remained firm, "I picked those red dates while hunting in the mountains, just happened to bring them to you, not for her!"
"If that's the case, I'll have her return the bag of red dates to me now."
As he turned to leave, Bill quickly stopped him, "No, you can't."
"Why?"
Bill clenched his fists as if he had a lot to say, but in the end, he could only dryly utter a sentence.
"I did pick those red dates for her."
"Red dates grow on tall barbed trees far away from here, and the thorns are poisonous to us. Even a slight prick can cause unbearable itching. Werewolves never approach that area. So you tell lies and nobody will believe it."
Bill looked down at his hand, which was now swollen and red from the thorn prick, and very itchy.
Bert handed him some herbs, "Chew them and apply it to the wound, it will relieve the itching and swelling."
Bill silently took the leaf.
Olivia stayed in the Moonlight Wolf tribe until the fourth day when her period finally ended.
Andrew was happy, "Your wound has healed! You won't die!"
Olivia had to reiterate, "It's simply a regular biological occurrence."
Andrew lifted her up, gently stroked her hair.
Now that her period was over, Olivia had no reason to stay in the Wolf tribe any longer.
Andrew bid farewell to Bert with Olivia.
"You cannot leave!"
It was not easy for Bill to fall for a female. If Olivia left, what would happen to Bill? Would he really have to remain a bachelor for life?
He had to find a way to keep Olivia there.
Andrew asked, "Why can't we leave?"
After thinking for a moment, Bert remembered something important and quickly said, "Winter is coming!"
Andrew frowned, "I remember winter is still more than one month away, it's too early."
"Usually, winter arrives in more than a month, but this year's climate has changed. Winter will come early. This is the result of my weather prediction. It will definitely not be wrong! You don't want your Olivia to suffer a lot, right?"
Besides medical skills, Bert, as a doctor, also knew some witchcraft, including weather prediction.
Such predictions were accurate when it came to major changes like drought or floods.
It was because of this that the Wolf tribe successfully avoided many natural disasters, thriving until it became a large tribe it is today.
Bert's words made Andrew consider.
At the same time, Moon's voice appeared.
"Hi Olivia, the winter challenge is coming!
Please be prepared. I will randomly release a series of tasks during the winter. After completing the tasks, you will receive generous rewards!"
Upon hearing about the generous rewards, Olivia was filled with anticipation.
Last time, she just completed the newbie tasks and received the practical gifts the fire starter and the scroll.
This time, the tasks sounded more challenging, and the rewards were bound to be much more generous than last time!
"Can I have some tampons and napkin tissue this time?"
"You will be rewarded more than you imagine if you complete the task."
"Great, we have a deal, don't break it!"
