Urban Top Bodyguard

Chapter 14: Section 14 Open, Just Kidding

"Chaos Beauty" Slow Shake Bar was bustling with people. A few scantily clad beauties were constantly twisting their waists on the lead dance stage. Wang Yu glanced at them, pursed his lips, and sat down with Lin Xi at an empty seat.

"What? You have something to say about them?"

Lin Xi asked with a smile, her voice a bit loud, but not piercing to the ears. The music inside the bar was deafening, making soft voices hard to hear.

"It's not that I have any particular opinion, just a bit of pity."

Wang Yu replied loudly as well, after which he looked at the lead dancers again, a look of concern on his face. The lead dancers were quite attractive.

Seeing his expression, Lin Xi glanced at the dancing women with confusion but couldn't spot anything unusual. She turned her head back to Wang Yu and asked, "What are you pitying?"

Wang Yu snickered a few times.

Lin Xi burst into laughter, gave Wang Yu a stern look, and said with a blushing face, "Are you a doctor? Acting as if you're so professional, talking about 'underdeveloped'? How big do they have to be to suit your taste?"

Wang Yu chuckled and scanned the bar, but couldn't find a fitting example.

"You're awful! I'm not talking to you anymore!"

Lin Xi complained coquettishly, quickly hung her head low, her face flushing, but inside she felt a strange sensation. Why did she feel so happy around him? Even though he was spouting all sorts of nonsense, why didn't she dislike him?

"Sir, may I ask what you would like to order?"

At this moment, a female server came over and asked Wang Yu.

Wang Yu gave the server a friendly smile before turning to Lin Xi and asking, "Miss Lin, what would you like?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Xi looked up briefly but quickly hung her head down again, saying softly, "Whatever."

"Alright, then let's go with 'whatever.' A bottle of '82 Lafite, a fruit platter, and two more snacks, that's it!"

Having stated his order in one go, the server was taken aback, her mouth hanging open as she stared dumbfounded at him, seemingly shocked.

Having worked in the nightlife scene for a long time, the server was no stranger to drinks. '82 Lafite was one of the world's top wines, now scarce, with single bottle prices ranging from 50,000 to 80,000 yuan. It's something usually found in cellars and chateaux, and unless you've got connections, you couldn't taste it even if you had the money; where would a small bar have '82 Lafite?

The server sized up Wang Yu and noticed he was wearing a rather ordinary Adidas jacket, not looking like someone wealthy. After thinking it over, she suddenly understood.

She suspected that this man intended to impress the beautiful lady by pretending to be something he wasn't, knowing all too well that the bar didn't carry what he asked for.

Once this thought crossed her mind, the server's eyes filled with disdain when she looked at Wang Yu.

"Do you have it?"

Wang Yu frowned, his tone becoming somewhat unfriendly. The contempt in the server's eyes really irked him. To think that even a server was so pretentious.

"Sorry, we don't have Lafite!" While speaking, the server revealed a scornful smile, looking at Wang Yu and said, "However, we do have Louis XIII, 1500ml, for 35,000 yuan per bottle. Would you like that?"

Wang Yu's eyebrows twitched, and in an instant, he decided to teach the server a lesson, to make her realize it's wrong to judge people by their appearances.

"Don't know if your drinks here are real or fake, bring them here for me to see."

Wang Yu deliberately stammered while speaking, all in preparation for what was to come. Then he pulled out several wads of banknotes from his pocket and casually tossed them on the table.

The sight of the money instantly froze the server; she hadn't expected him to actually be someone with money. Indeed, how could he be a penniless man if he was sitting with such a beautiful lady?

"Of course, of course, sir, please wait a moment!"

The server was overjoyed, beaming a flattering smile at Wang Yu before scampering off towards the bar. Selling a bottle of Louis XIII meant a commission of 3,500 yuan for her, and naturally, she was thrilled.

Lin Xi looked at Wang Yu, puzzled, not understanding what he was up to. Spending over 30,000 yuan on a bottle of alcohol—had he lost his mind? Also, why had his speech suddenly become less fluent?

After a short while, the server hurried over with the bottle and handed it to Wang Yu, saying, "Sir, please take a look."

Wang Yu glanced briefly at the bottle and then nodded, saying, "Yes, it's real."

"Shall I open it?"

The server looked at Wang Yu with hopeful eyes, her hand trembling slightly with excitement, ready to pop the cork as soon as Wang Yu said the word, securing her commission.

"Open it!"

Wang Yu had only uttered the beginning of the word "open," when the waiter popped the cork with lightning speed. But just then, Wang Yu spoke again.

"Joking, I can't possibly...afford such expensive alcohol," Wang Yu said as he stuffed the banknotes back into his pocket and smiled at the waiter, "Sorry, I have a bit of a...stutter."

Upon hearing this, the waiter's face turned pale, and tears soon welled up in her eyes.

"Sir, how could you do this?"

The waiter, holding the wine bottle, was at a loss and so anxious that tears were swirling in her eyes. If Wang Yu didn't buy it, it meant she had to pay for the bottle herself. Thirty-five thousand—that was her annual salary.

"What...what's wrong? Were your hands...too fast? How's that...my problem? I...didn't ask you to open it."

Wang Yu spoke leisurely, his heart filled with glee. He thought to himself, weren't you looking down on me just now? I'm going to teach you a lesson and show you what happens when you underestimate others.

"But...but..."

The waiter stammered for a long time without knowing what to say. In the end, she squatted on the ground, hugged the bottle of wine, and started sobbing loudly, finally realizing that Wang Yu was deliberately making things difficult for her.

The cries quickly caught the attention of everyone in the bar, who gathered around, including those who were keeping watch in the bar and some bar staff.

The bar staff immediately asked the waiter what had happened, and she tearfully explained the whole situation to them.

Lin Xi stood up, approached Wang Yu, and whispered in his ear, "What did she do to offend you? Why are you playing such a prank on her?" After speaking, she glanced at the crying waiter with a hint of pity in her eyes.

Although Lin Xi hadn't seen the waiter's contemptuous look towards Wang Yu, she believed that he wouldn't play a prank on a waitress without good reason, that the waitress must have done something to offend him.

Wang Yu smiled faintly and said softly, "She's too worldly-wise. I'm teaching her how to be a person. Don't worry, I won't let her lose money."

Lin Xi nodded slightly and said nothing more, standing quietly by his side.

After the waiter's explanation, the surrounding people quickly figured out what was going on, and everyone immediately turned their gaze towards Wang Yu, their eyes filled with disdain. The waiter had only mentioned that Wang Yu was teasing her, but she didn't explain the reason why.

The bar staff gave Wang Yu a deep look but didn't know how to handle the situation. Then they turned and ran towards the boss's office. Moments later, the bar boss hurried over with a Bald Head following him.

"MD! Who the hell is looking for trouble, daring to make a scene here?"

The boss had yet to speak, but Bald Head following him started cursing first.

Upon hearing these words, Wang Yu's eyebrows raised, and he instantly decided Bald Head's fate. Although Wang Yu was abandoned by his parents as a child, his parents had given him life after all. He couldn't tolerate someone cursing his mother.

"That Bald Head over there, yes, you! Did you just eat shit?"

Even though he was furious, a smile still played on Wang Yu's lips, and he didn't speak very loudly. Lin Xi was right beside him; even if he had to beat someone up, he wanted to do it with a gentlemanly demeanor.

When the Bald Head heard Wang Yu's words, his face immediately changed, and he pointed at Wang Yu fiercely, "Damn it, what did you say? You looking to die? Do you know who's in charge here?"

"Brother Fei is in charge!"

A shout suddenly came from the crowd, as if to coordinate with what Bald Head had said, and then several figures emerged from different directions in the crowd, surrounding Wang Yu and Lin Xi, looking menacing and ferocious.

Seeing this, the other customers immediately backed away, clearing the space. Even if they were clueless, they knew a fight was about to break out, and it was better to stay back to avoid any accidental harm while watching the drama.

Glancing at the people surrounding him, Wang Yu couldn't help but shake his head with a smile. Turning to Lin Xi, he said, "Lin Xi, take a seat. I know you're not in a good mood. Shall I direct an action scene for you?"

Wang Yu appeared nonchalant; he never took any of these people seriously. They were all insignificant small-fry to him, good for intimidation perhaps, but in a real fight, they were just asking for a pounding.

Lin Xi looked worried, gripping Wang Yu's arm tightly and frowning, "Are you sure you can handle it?"

"Sure! How could a man not be able to? I might not be married today, but if I were, even heading back to consummate the marriage after this would be no problem," Wang Yu said with a mischievous smile.

"Tch!" Lin Xi spat lightly, thinking to herself what time it was to be joking now?

After giving Wang Yu a stern look, Lin Xi said, "Be careful!" Then blushing, she went back to her seat and sat down, watching Wang Yu nervously.

The minions' cry for "Brother Fei" made Bald Head feel immensely proud. Smugly looking at Wang Yu, he thought the guy must not want to live for causing trouble on his turf. With a single command, his minions would swarm up and squash him into a pulp in minutes.

Wang Yu glanced at Bald Head and couldn't help laughing. That head was indeed quite shiny, not a single hair, and it even reflected light under the neon signs. Someone like him wouldn't need to carry a light in the dark, just the moonlight would suffice.

"Bald Head, I advise you to kneel down in front of me and apologize, and give yourself ten hard slaps in the face. Otherwise, I don't mind doing it myself. You have one minute to think about it," Wang Yu advised, then casually lit up a cigarette and took a few steps forward, narrowing the distance between him and Bald Head.
