What the hell is making games in the Ninja World?

"Three days from now, the Uchiha clan will hold a genjutsu game press conference at the training ground on the outskirts of the village? By the way, what is a genjutsu game?"

A voice sounded. It belonged to a middle-aged man, with wrinkles on his face but still in good health. His hair and beard were still black, and he wore round glasses.

His surname was Mitokado, and his given name was Homura. He was one of the members of Konoha Council.

Alongside him was also Utatane Koharu, a middle-aged woman who looked fairly healthy, with black hair and a no-nonsense attitude.

At this point in Konoha's 46th year, the elderly figures who would eventually become the village's old generation were still at the peak of their strength.

Facing the question about Mitokado Homura, Sarutobi Hiruzen shook his head. "I don't understand. According to the pamphlet, this is a completely new and special product that the Uchiha clan plans to publicly promote and announce."

Utatane Koharu furrowed her brows. "Are we supposed to stop the Uchiha clan?"

Sarutobi Hiruzen glanced at his old friend. "With what reason? The Uchiha clan said it themselves—this is just a new product. What's different this time is that it's not being released directly at their shops, but instead it's a promotion for the whole of Konoha."

"They're covering all the costs themselves, including security and maintaining order during the event. The village doesn't have to do anything, and we'll even get some rental fees for the venue."

"Furthermore, the Uchiha clan has already sent invitations to Konoha's major clans, asking them to send representatives to the event. Even my Sarutobi clan has received an invitation."

"This shows that the Uchiha clan is confident in their new product and ensures that it poses no harm to Konoha."

"So why should we stop them? What reason do we have to stop them? Without any evidence that the Uchiha's actions will harm Konoha, how can we stop them without facing backlash?"

Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura fell silent. Sarutobi Hiruzen made a valid point. Despite their many concerns, they truly had no grounds to interfere.

However, the Uchiha clan's decision to promote this new product without informing Konoha's upper echelons or explaining everything thoroughly irritated them.

After all, as one of the founding clans, the Uchiha had enough privileges to do as they wished, unlike the other clans who would typically need to report to the higher-ups and clear things with them before taking action.

So, they had reason to be displeased with the Uchiha clan. Those in power are always the most uncomfortable with things they can't control.

On the other hand, Sarutobi Hiruzen was quite calm. After all, as the Third Hokage, he had never sought to consolidate all the power for himself. 

Instead, he had deliberately divided the Hokage's authority among his close friends, letting his companions lead Konoha alongside him.

This mindset led Sarutobi to remain unfazed by the Uchiha's "rebellious" behavior.

In contrast, Mitokado Homura spoke solemnly, "At the very least, we need to understand what this so-called genjutsu game is. Otherwise, if the Uchiha clan has any radical plans in this matter, it could be disastrous."

Sarutobi Hiruzen gave his friend an exasperated look. "I've already said it's an invitation for representatives from each clan to attend. It's been heavily promoted throughout the village, so there will surely be many who attend the release event."

"So, do you think the Uchiha clan has gone mad enough to want to directly go to war with the village? Or is there another Uchiha Madara emerging, trying to make the whole village dance to his tune?"

Mitokado Homura fell silent, his face slightly embarrassed. He knew his previous words had been a bit foolish.

Just then, the door to the Hokage's office suddenly swung open.

It was an impolite and overstepping action—few people in Konoha would behave this way. And the person who had entered was clearly one of those "few."
