At night, the moon rose in this silent Death Domain. The moonlight here was so pale, terrifyingly cold like dead light. At the same time, Xiao Chen felt a hint of danger. Without any delay, he rushed quickly towards the edge of the marsh.

Barely visible, a faint black fog floated from the mud and water puddles, beginning to linger in the marsh forest. Xiao Chen was startled. He had guessed it was miasma, and it was likely the most virulent Corpse Epidemic according to legends.

Within the dim marsh forest, a white figured moved, a human skeleton amazingly stood up!

The snow-white skeleton, under the grim moonlight, appeared gloomy and terrifying. Particularly the fact that it could move freely made it even scarier. The sound of joints moving came from two other directions. Two more skeletons got up in the woods. They crossed the muddy puddle area and joined the first skeleton. There was also a faint light pulsating in their skulls. It seemed they could communicate with each other, every time they looked at each other their skull glowed.

Xiao Chen couldn't make sense of all this. Were they ghosts? He didn't think so!

In the following two hours, no more skeletons like these appeared.

Throughout this process, Xiao Chen kept hiding and observing. He found the three skeletons were continually digging through the bones in the marsh, seeming to look for something. Xiao Chen was amazed. The skeletons could absorb the energy of the Crystal Stone. Was this some kind of alien evolution? But he didn't know how they initially came into being.

Under the grim moonlight, the Corpse Epidemic was drifting in the marsh, and the three skeletons were freely moving. Everything was so weird!

Suddenly, a skeleton reaching the edge of the marsh seemed to have found something. It puzzledly walked towards the big tree where Xiao Chen was hiding. Xiao Chen had a thought and didn't flee. Instead, he moved from behind the tree and faced the skeleton.

The skeleton seemed very bewildered. It looked back at its two companions and then at Xiao Chen. The faint light in its eye sockets flickered as if it was thinking about something. The other two skeletons also came over. They too looked confusedly at Xiao Chen, seeming to find this lively fellow in front of them very "alien."

Xiao Chen wanted to observe them closely, to see what was so peculiar about them. Aside from noticing a mysterious power supplying energy for the skeleton's movements within the skull, he did not discover anything else unusual.

Suddenly, he had an idea. He took out a Brown Crystal Stone acquired from a beast's corpse and held it in his palm. The eye sockets of the three skeletons immediately showed fluctuating light as they reached out for the Crystal Stone.

Xiao Chen took a step back, and the three skeletons followed, stepping out of the marsh.

Without sensing any murderous intent from the skeletons, Xiao Chen handed them the Crystal Stone. The Brown Crystal Stone was easily split by them into three sections, and then they stuffed it into their eye sockets. The brown light flickered, and the light spread from their skulls to the rest of their bodies.

Sounds of "crack crack" came from their joints. Upon close observation, the skeletons were shiny, and the three skeletons were as bright as jade. As the energy of the Crystal Stone was completely absorbed, this phenomenon disappeared, but their skeletons seemed to shine a bit more!

One of the skeletons extended its bony claw and struck the tree next to it. With a light "swoosh" sound, the white sharp claw deeply penetrated the tree trunk, burying almost half of its arm inside.

An ordinary strike had such power; it was clear how terrifying the skeletons were! Xiao Chen was extremely shocked. The skeletons were much stronger than he had imagined!

The three skeletons stood in front of Xiao Chen, the light in their eye sockets flickered as they quietly watched him. After a long time, they opened and closed their jaws a few times, making a "crack crack" sound, as if they were trying to say something. Then, they walked back into the depths of the marsh together, slowly disappearing into the gloomy forest.

Powerful and spiritually intelligent skeletons!

As for all this, Xiao Chen found it somewhat inconceivable. He circled around this Death Marsh to investigate and after more than an hour he found out, it was more than a dozen square kilometers large. Inside was a heavy Corpse Epidemic, filled with an ominous aura, appearing mysterious and terrifying.

At midnight, the marsh's Corpse Epidemic was at its thickest, such thick black fog that it covered the grim moonlight.

It was only in the latter half of the night that the Corpse Epidemic gradually receded, becoming increasingly thin.

In the latter half of the night, Xiao Chen suddenly heard an intense crashing sound from the perimeter of the Death Marsh. It seemed... someone was fighting in the marsh! He ran around the marsh towards where the sounds were coming from. After a while, he saw an astonishing scene.
