A Cursed Reincarnation

Chapter 4: 4. Mother's Verdict

Armaros looked at the tall woman walking in his direction, his mother in this life as she also spotted him as she walked.

She is quite tall, has a very beautiful face with unblemished and fair skin, light blonde hair tied in a bun behind her head which seemed to shimmer in the sunlight, while two long strands of hair framed both sides of her face, light green eyes which hold no warmth. Large breasts and wide hip, and a figure which would draw the attention of anyone.

All in all, his mother is a boxum blonde beauty who is able to easily make heads turn, with her beauty being enough that she could be considered one of the best and a sort of divine being, though considering her blood, it's not a stretch.

She is also wearing her armor, on her forearms, up to her knees, over her chest and waist, also wearing clothes made of a blue material which is easy to move in and she also wears a white cape which has white animal fur around her shoulders.

She always wore her armor whether she was in the mansion or out, and he has never seen his mother without it. But as he watched he suddenly felt a pressure on his body as he was forced to go on his knees and use his arms to stabilize himself and stop himself from falling over as he stayed like that for a few moments as he grit his teeth and exerted his strength.

"You still do not use your Mana." Her voice cut through the silence of the corridor as he felt the pressure disappear.

Armaros gasped and took some breaths before he raised his head and looked at his mother, who is standing a few feet in front of him and looking at him with indifferent eyes.

"Mom." Armaros said with a nervous smile as she didn't change her expression.

'I guess I shouldn't have expected anything else from her, the Matriarch of the clan.' Armaros thought to himself as he looked at her.

This is his mother, Aurelia Dawnbringer, the matriarch and current leader of the Dawnbringer clan. As for her husband, the man has left the clan after Valeria was born. Her husband is an accomplished swordsman, but seeing that his only son Armaros was weak, and all the other children he got from Aurelia were girls, he left the family.

After that it fell to Aurelia to shoulder the duty of taking care of the affairs of the entire clan, but she took it with stride and with the power that she wields and the importance of their bloodline, she can pull a lot of weight in the empire.

However, she left the job of raising her children to the servants, which is the reason why each of the six children have a nanny who takes care of them. But they also try to get her favour and try to get powerful enough to get her recognition and also uphold the pride of their clan.

But due to Armaros' weakness and his lack of use of magic, she doesn't pay him much mind and mostly just ignores him and only gives small talks or orders as she would go about her days. And he would always greets her warmly, to try and coax some care from her.

"I do not know why you insist on not using your Mana when it is the most important thing that is needed for a warrior. But you should start using it more, and with your swordsmanship as well." Aurelia said to him as he stood up.

"I'm doing the best I can mom. I get tired easily and my body isn't as strong as my sisters." Armaros said to her as he felt nervous and his heart was beating fast as he looked at her.

"See to it that you increase your proficiency and do not bring shame to our clan." Aurelia said to him coldly as she walked past him.

"I hope you have a good day mom." Armaros said to her as he watched her leave.

But she didn't answer as she walked away while he watched as he sighed to himself and looked down with a sad face.

'Even in another life, I get a family like this, guess I really am cursed.' Armaros thought to himself as he walked away.

He spent the rest of the day reading some books in the library, as reading is something that he enjoyed in his previous life and the library has a very good collection of books to read which are quite informative and gives him knowledge about the world.

After that he ate dinner, which was a quiet affair before he went to bed, as Mary bid him goodnight before she left his room. He laid on the bed as he frowned at the events of the day, as it was almost a repetitive experience for him.

'Why is my life like this?' Armaros thought to himself as he couldn't help but sigh before he decided to sleep.

Two Weeks Later

Two weeks have passed and he has only made a minor improvement in his magic, as his tolerance to the pain also increased a bit which helped him to focus more on the control and use of his Mana.

But that wasn't enough as his sister's were improving with leaps and bounds, and he knew that they were fast learners and are also geniuses compared to him.

'Valeria's birthday is in a few days. I should get her a gift. After I see what this summons is for.' Armaros thought to himself as he went to the conference area followed by Mary.

For reasons that eluded him, he was summoned to attend a conference, he didn't know the reason, but since his mother was the one who summoned him, he didn't want to displease him as he walked to the room.

He reached the room and the guards stationed there opened the door as he entered with Mary following dutifully. When he looked inside, he saw his mother sitting at the head of the seats, he also saw his sisters on one side with their nannies, and the 4 elders of the clan as well.

Armaros' eyes widened when he saw the amount of people there as he didn't know why they would be here. He looked at Mary and even she has a look of shock and surprise as she saw the people gathered there.

'So even she has no idea about it huh.' Armaros thought to himself as he saw her reaction.

He looked at his mother as she looked at him, then she looked at the elders and they nodded before they all looked at him. Armaros couldn't help but feel nervous and a bit scared as he saw the assembled people as he was nervous.

"It is good to see that you are punctual for coming here at the correct time." Aurelia said to him seriously as she looked at him.

"Thank you mother. But, why was I called here?" Armaros asked her as he felt nervous.

"Me and the rest of the elders had discussed your progress over the last few years and we couldn't help but notice how despite all the training that you do and all the help that we give you, you never train to your fullest and you are also very weak." Aurelia said to him as his nervousness increased as he felt his heart beat faster.

"I'm not as strong as them, you already know that." Armaros said to her as he glanced at his sisters who were watching the proceedings.

"We have noticed. In our history, you are the one child we know who was so weak. Every other child at your age were much stronger than you were, and despite all the guidance we have given you, you still do not have any progress." Aurelia said to him as he gulped down some saliva.

"But, why did you summon me here?" Armaros asked her nervously.

"After discussing this amongst ourselves, we have decided that taking care of you in our clan is a waste of our time and resources. Your weakness will only be a detriment to the prestige of our clan. As such, we have decided to exile you from the clan." Aurelia said to him as she delivers the verdict coldly as Armaros' jaw dropped in shock.
