Chapter 32  Rick and Hana Lee, Meet the Four Families! by Harem-Fan

"Every year I meet the families in a clockwise fashion to be fair and not pick favorites, so we will greet the Long, Lang, Tang, and Feng in that order based on where we are sitting."

Holding Hana's waist with my left hand, I agree it sounded right.

"Makes sense, plus one of your teachers is in with the Long."

Dean John Chang or dad, was stopped by a few people briefly along the way, but his social skills were polished and untangled from unnecessary talks as we approached the back left table by the stage.

Naturally the Long saw our group of three approach and the looks on all of their faces were very mixed. Out of everyone at the table, the Head Kimberly Long and her little sister Victoria Long had less than friendly looks at my appearance, and I wonder if I pissed off Victoria somehow?

"I came to give my greetings to the Long family and especially to you Teacher Long. Thanks for coming to this fundraiser for my daughters hospital."

     Kimberly the Head, asked father.

"Hello again Dean Chang, I do know your daughter from previous years, but who is this young man?"

Only Hana understands the prejudice against me, while myself and her father are ignorant, and this was the real reason she came with me. Father cheerfully tells the Long.

"My daughter Hana Lee is married to Rick, my son-in-law. He will be in your class Victoria, so look after him."

The two sisters look taken aback about me marrying Hana, and the Deans in-law?!

The two women see my hand on her waist, and then like wife-magic, Hana with a grin holds up her left-hand like she is super proud.

"We met a month ago and fell hard. He is a genius that shares my values and hobbies. Right dear?" (drifting was the biggest factor for her affection meter skyrocketing)

"She saved my life, so of course I fell hard for my Doctor!"

     "Mr Lee, why business class?"

     Victoria had curiously asked me.

"Because I have already learned it all and just need the diploma. So it will be an easy four years."

Victoria pulled a question from last year's business magazine she remembered, and my Business Management Advanced remembered it better than her.

"What is better: 1⁄100 of 1% of a 100 billion market, or 25% of a 40 million market?"

So without missing a beat, I change the wording a bit to not be word for word.

"They are equal in dollar terms, but for whatever reasons capturing that thin slice of a massive pie is much harder and less profitable than owning a larger slice of the smaller one. I also have memorized the entire tax-code for corporations for next year if you want to save 10%? Oh wait, I cannot tell you the trick, I don't have that blasted degree yet."

Victoria's eye twitched because she had in fact intended on making my class difficult to get me to drop out, but this was out of her plans.

"See Teacher Long, I told you he is a genius. Plus he scored a perfect 100% on his entrance test for Star University."

Hana, a wise woman, could read Victoria like an open book and struck her pride. I just thought Hana was bragging, but she is good on my ego. Kimberly Long then said.

"Well Dean Chang, congratulations on your good fortunes."

Father, not understanding the rather cold reception, decided to cut it short.

"Well it was good to visit you all tonight, but I must go to the Lang now, have fun."

As the three of us walk away I ask father.

"The Head and my new teacher did not seem to like me for some reason? Teacher Long won't be a problem will she? Do I need to change fields to avoid the Long?"

"I noticed that as well, but no don't do that, it's her issue not yours. If she gives you unfair treatment, come to me and I will investigate her. She is on a trial basis and not a tenure yet so she can be fired."

"I will record all the classes and take pictures of all the work as evidence just in case."

Back at the Long table as we had left...

"That little bastard looks just like his father did back then. What genius? Victoria, make sure he does not pass. Our sister was humiliated by his father, so a bit of justice is reasonable."

"As the Dean's son, I will lose my job. And I could tell he knew his stuff. He is also a killer, so I don't think I will mess with him directly. Did you not hear about him killing 5 men in a blink of an eye, and downing a helicopter from niece? She saw it with her own eyes. No, I am not stupid."

"Fine coward, then I will call in some masters from the Mountain Temple to teach him a lesson."

"Sister, if he kills them, the Mountain Temple wont forgive us."

"No, there is no way that brat can fight Masters, business I can believe but killing Masters, don't make me laugh."

Victoria inside felt this was definitely overboard, but her older sister has a temper that is second to none and it makes her irrational. Especially against someone that did nothing to the Long. And her hunch would be proven right.

Back with my group of three...

The Lang table saw the three of us, but their looks were far friendlier than the Longs.

"Hello Lang family, I, my daughter, and son-in-law wanted to deliver our greetings and thank you for coming today."

George Lang looked surprised and pointed to the two of us and inquired.

"Mr Lee and your daughter are married? I had no idea."

"Indeed, and hello you are little Linda Lang, right? Congratulations for your 2nd place rankings and getting into Star University, let me know if you have any issues and I will help out."

Linda in her flat personality greeted the Dean.

"Thank you Dean Chang, and it was humbling for me to get 2nd, now I know I must work harder."

"Miss Lang, remember to rest and don't over do it. You can't learn and perform your best if you're exhausted."

George Lang looked at me oddly and noticed I had totally ignored his daughter and asked.

"Mr Lee, you spent four years with my daughter, and yet you act as if you don't know each-other?"

My anger for Scott came to the surface again for this ass hole to bring up what he has to know about considering the driver at the fight that day.

"Mercy Mu must have reported to you my conflict with Scott Tang who is responsible for almost killing me two times and beating me a total number of 21 times all for Linda's sake, so please don't treat me like an ignorant man. Of course the fiancee of my attempted murderer is going to be ignored by me."

At this point the silence is pissing me off, so I say with Acting Skill trying to hold my anger.

"I apologize to the Lang family for my outburst, I am sure none of you even knew about this and I blamed you harshly. I will go to the restroom and wash my face."

Hana looked worried for me, but let me go to leave the hall for a bit. I actually do need to piss anyway so it's good.

Hana and father had decided to greet the Tang without me knowing that was a bad table for me to go to. Yeah good call. But before they got there Hana gave her father a brief explanation of what Scott did to me and he too had instantly put Scott into the shit-basket.

Back with me, I was really feeling pissed that George Lang had the face to bring up his daughter to me knowing my issue, and if he did not know, he does not deserve to run his house.

When I came into the bathroom I instantly detected two people and they were two assholes I memorized well. One of them is in the shitter and his pants just hit the floor in the stall. And the other is mid-piss at the urinal.

After the mood I was in and seeing Scott's bodyguards from my birthday not noticing me I just moved by instinct and attacked.

Smack! Crack! Thud! And I moved like a death-reaper and came up behind Bob, grabbed the back of his shaven head and smashed his face into the tiled wall, cracking his nose and sun-glasses knocking him out while still peeing all over himself. He slumped head first into the piss water and lay there unconscious.

"Bob what's that, are you alright?"

Using Acting Basic, I imitate Bob's voice sounding like I am shaking off a piss and say.

"I am good." (see chapter one for skill details if you forgot)

I then cover most of my face with my arm so Jack won't identify me later. BANG! Then I kicked the stall door in surprised Jack who looked confused.

Crunch! Crack! Thud! I snap kicked this bastard in the face breaking his nose and sunglasses knocking him out, but this was the guy that punched me near dead!

Thud Crack! Thud Crack! Thud Crack! Thud Crack! I threw four rapid punches in the exact four ribs he bruised on my body, but I made sure to crack those four ribs making it very painful.

I piss in an empty wall stall, and wash my hands in the sink.

I take one of my lock-pick tools in my wallet and lock the bathroom door shut.

I did wipe off all surfaces I touched from fingerprints using my Thief or rather the upgraded Cat Burglar Skill and left an [out of order] stand from the janitor's closet in front of the door.

On my way back to the event, I was confused? I was going to erase all security files showing what I did, but it's like someone already did that?! Is there another hacker doing something at the event?

I activate my Cat Burglar Skills again to kinda sneak back in unnoticed in order to not draw attention to myself, so few people here have a chance to even notice me.

Father and Hana are finishing up at the Tang table and they notice me grinning while waiting for my family and not caring to talk with them.

The Head Anthony Tang however with a serious face waved me over to everyone's disbelief, including mine. But I can't avoid this invitation, right?

I put my arm around Hana's waist again and put on a smile remembering the twins, to settle my emotions.

"Hello Rick Lee, I heard you're the new son-in-law to our good Dean here, congratulations."

"Thank you head Tang, it is all of my misfortunes that led me to Hana and good fortune to come."

Scott could not help himself and said to me.

"Don't forget Lee, stay away from Linda."

Acting failing to cover my emotions and my grin of anger shown on my face and I say.

"Are you still pen-pals with Mei Xia? You did say she was innocent, right?"

"Scott, say another word and you can leave. Rick Lee, we only want to enjoy the night, so perhaps we should cut our chat short, but I would like to invite you over to the Tang's for a meal sometime."

"Someday (never) maybe. Thanks for greeting me."

As I walk with father and Hana I say to him.

"Father, so sorry for the last three tables to be so awkward, but I work for Feng, so at least they don't hate me, probably?"

He patted my back and laughed.

"I have two eyes and I can see who and what is going on, I have been in the middle of noble circles for a while now, let's greet the Feng and then eat."

     Back with the Tang...

"Dad, why did you shame me in front of that little bastard?"

Anthony Tang had a complicated look on his face, looking at me walk away, and seeing me and his son fight like two wild beasts with no thought of the repercussions. He ambiguously asks Scott.

"If a Dragon and Tiger truly fought, who would win? No, you're too ignorant to answer that question. I know what you have been doing and you have gone past reconciliation Scott."

"Are you talking about that little bastard Rick Lee, ha-ha! No, I know who he is, I have since middle-school. He is trash and no Tiger."

Scott's dad sighs at his pampered son and mutters. If this story is on any-other site than Scribble Hub, then it was stolen without permission!

"You knowingly doing it is even worse, now I can't tell others, tigers don't eat their own, sigh."

Finally! When the Feng table sees us coming we see smiles...

Tony Feng, already hearing about my meeting with the Long and Lang, and guessing how bad the Tang are just is amused at the other families for being blind idiots.

"Dean Chang, Dr Chang, and Rick hello, rough greetings?"

Hana feeling wrong vibes from the Feng holds up her wedding band and smiles.

"Thank you for the warm greeting, but I am officially Dr Lee now, fufu."

Lane Feng also experienced and understood Hana, just agreed and joined in.

"Rick is an excellent catch, good eyes for getting him early, Ufufu."

Tina just looked at the ring and was not sure what to think. But trained by her mother only joined in on the fun talking.

The other three families frowned seeing how well the Feng embraced me and had complicated thoughts, especially the Lang's.

Tony Feng, a great businessman, made sure to make a show of it. He was happy to see the buyer's remorse on the others' faces.

Hana got less territorial when she realized Tina and her mother seemed to be more allies than vultures, so she just put down her guard a bit and had fun.

We had spent at least twice as long greeting the whole Feng family including Tina's older sister, Jill Feng who took after her mother with blonde-hair.

Then finally we parted and made it to our table and Mary had already started to dig in with a look of bliss. I hug her before going to get me some food in my belly.

The party only started, and I got to vent, and beat those bastards, now what will happen?
