BTTH: The Legend Of Xiu Emperor

Chapter 53: I Am Not Weaker Than You

"Father."

Hun Xiu looked at Hun Tiandi in surprise, confused by his father's words. He found it hard to believe that someone as intelligent as Hun Tiandi would say something so unusual.

Others were also puzzled, trying to decipher the meaning behind his words. Even Hun Xiu felt that there must be something more to them.

Just as the crowd was wondering, Gu Xun'er, nestled in Hun Xiu's arms, became visibly upset.

Her "Brother Hun Xiu" was the best, and there was no way he was bragging.

With her hands on her hips, she exclaimed in a crisp voice, "My Brother Hun Xiu isn't bragging! He never brags!"

Her words immediately drew everyone's attention. Even Hun Xiu, who was holding Gu Xun'er, looked at her in surprise.

Was she trying to charm him?

"Hahaha..."

Hun Tiandi burst into hearty laughter upon hearing Gu Xun'er's declaration, clearly amused.

"Did you see that?" Hun Tiandi turned to Gu Yuan with a broad grin. "Brother Gu, this little girl hasn't even married into our family yet, but she's already standing up for Hun Xiu. It seems all your efforts to raise her were in vain."

"No!" Gu Xun'er interjected, her voice sharp yet sweet. "Father did not raise me in vain!"

Her innocent yet determined demeanor melted the hearts of everyone present.

"Hahaha…"

Gu Yuan patted Gu Xun'er's head gently and said with a smile, "Your Uncle Hun is just teasing you, Xun'er."

"Oh…"

Gu Xun'er nodded as if she understood but then shook her head firmly. "No! Father, don't try to distract me. My Brother Hun Xiu isn't bragging!"

"Of course, he isn't."

Gu Yuan smiled affectionately, gazing at his daughter with pure adoration. However, a tinge of reluctance flickered in his eyes. He wasn't entirely happy about giving his precious daughter to that brat, Hun Xiu.

Hun Xiu chimed in, "Your Uncle Hun was joking, Xun'er. He knows I wasn't bragging."

"Oh!"

Realization dawned on Gu Xun'er, and she nodded confidently.

Hun Tiandi, looking serious once again, addressed Hun Xiu. "If that's the case, I won't hide anything from you. If you can defeat Hun Yu or Hun Feng with just one move, I'll accept what you said earlier."

Pausing briefly, he added, "And I'll even give you a surprise."

"Thank you, Father."

Hun Xiu, however, showed no visible reaction, his expression calm. He had his suspicions about his father's motives. Something didn't feel right.

As the father and son exchanged words, the audience grew increasingly bewildered. What secrets were these two keeping from everyone else?

The void battle above was also reaching its climax, drawing everyone's attention.

---

Hun Yu was struggling. After taking a crushing blow from Hun Feng, he was sent crashing onto the martial arts stage, leaving cracks on the surface. Blood spilled from his lips, and his face was pale as paper.

"How do you still have dou qi left?" Hun Yu asked incredulously.

Hun Feng smirked. "You're not the only one who's been training. I've also made a breakthrough."

With that, Hun Feng revealed his hidden power—a surge of energy marking him as a Six-Star Dou Huang.

Hun Yu's eyes narrowed. "A Six-Star Dou Huang… You hid it well."

The gap between a Five-Star and a Six-Star Dou Huang was enormous, almost insurmountable.

Hun Yu chuckled grimly, standing tall despite his injuries. "You should've finished me off when you had the chance, Hun Feng. Now, I'll show you that I am not weaker than you."

He unleashed his remaining strength, powered by his divine bloodline, to summon his most powerful technique—Titanic Finger.

A massive, oppressive finger appeared in the void, casting its shadow over the arena.

Hun Feng wasn't fazed. "You're putting everything on the line. Do you know the price you'll pay for this? You'll be bedridden for at least a year."

But Hun Feng wasn't taking any chances. He countered with his own technique—The Great Handprint of the Sky.

As the two powers clashed, the sky seemed to split.

Hun Yu's voice rang out, fierce and unwavering. "I may not be able to surpass Hun Xiu, but I won't lose to you, Hun Feng. Today, I prove that I am not weaker than you!"

Hun Feng could only stare in silence, acknowledging the determination burning in Hun Yu's eyes.
