Chef’s Harem in Multiverse

Ch: 73 [Aftermath]

Captain Marvel pursued the Silver Surfer. She unleashed powerful energy blasts that streaked through the cosmic void, aiming to intercept the silver-clad being. But the Silver Surfer remained unfazed, his shimmering form unscathed by the barrage of energy attacks.

He released an energy blast from his board, throwing Captain Marvel flying miles away, before disappearing into space.

Her cosmic powers were momentarily subdued by the Silver Surfer's devastating attack. The impact had sent her hurtling through the sky, and she had crashed on the ground with incredible force, unconscious, creating a massive crater.

As the dust settled around her, a sense of urgency washed over the onlookers who had gathered to witness the strange events unfolding on the transformed beach. They rushed to her side, their concern evident on their faces.

[Meanwhile at the beach] [Brian's first person POV]

My body is screaming in pain and I don't have a single ounce of energy to move my body. But I can't stay here and risk getting caught by the heroes. Luckily, my face was still covered with the Symbiote's cell mask.

"Don't worry, I got you," Sue grabbed my hand, and channeled her power, turning me invisible, "Quick, change back."

I changed back to my human form.

"Alright done," I said.

Sue undid her invisibility mode on me.

"You alright?" I asked with a concerned tone.

"Yeah," She replied while sitting beside me, "I am good. Just a little tired."

"Haha," I gave a painful chuckle, "Me too..."

"Your arm looks bad," I said.

"It's nothing new. They will fix this in a day or two," She replied without a flinch or worry. "What about you?"

"My body heals up on its own," I replied.

"That's..." She fell on my lap, unconscious.

The medics rushed to us, but other than exhaustion, I didn't have any wounds on my body. It's all healed up, but the pain was real. I just took some strong painkillers. "I am fine, she looks bad."

Sue's condition was bad. She has overused her power causing internal bleeding and her arm was shattered and bleeding.

They took her to the hospital.

"Are you sure you don't need any help?" the medic asked.

"Yeah, I am fine. You take care of her," I replied back.

I wanted to go with her, but the thing is I can't even stand up or move a finger. And I can't risk them fiddling with my body and finding out my Symbiote cells.

I sat there watching the rescue team working, on the plane, helping the civilians. A couple of Iron Man's armor were working to stabilize the plane's engine and a few were working on the nearby streets.

Everything was in chaos. Car crashes and underground electric wires explosions resulted in massive gas explosions. [Methane gas gets accumulated in the sewer system.] It was an absolute disaster.

Suddenly the System's window popped out before my eyes.

[Invisibility Enhanced]

[Forcefield Enhanced]

<Please make a choice for your Symbiote cell's evolution: [Invisibility Enhanced] or [Forcefield Enhanced]>

Nice. I choose Invisibility Enhanced. Now this is fun. It seems the System can somehow copy the powers that are in direct contact with me. If so, why didn't it work when I was with Gwen or Peggy?

If I have to guess... Well, there is nothing I can do but guess... Then, my Symbiote already has all the spidey-like powers that Gwen has or it could be because she got her powers from that radioactive spider. And Peggy's power comes from a serum, so, I guess that's a no-go.

[Cosmic Power Copied]

Cosmic Power! Wait! Sue and the other Fantastic Four were exposed to cosmic radiation, changing/altering their genetics and giving them power. If this System only copies cosmic powers, then the possibility is limitless...

A portal opened beside me and Dr. Strange stepped out. He stood there and looked around.

"Good job, stopping that aircraft," He said.

"Hahaha," I chuckled, "I guess I messed up when I used my power, huh?"

"You can say that," He replied, "Captain Carter was covering up for you due to her personal reasons. But..."

"So, am I in trouble for lending a hand?" I asked.

"No, you are not in any trouble," He said as he walked toward the edge of the beach, "As long as you don't commit any crimes. And with the Professor, Captain, and Ghost Spider vouching for you plus if we take today's events into consideration... Well..."

He turned back and continued, "Have you ever thought of forming a team of your own to keep things safe down here?"

"You want me to form a hero team?" I inquired.

"Not want, a humble request. It will help us prevent disasters like these in the future. You keep the streets safe while we keep the space safe. Think about it," Dr. Strange then flew toward the giant hole from which embers rose as if something hot was burning inside it. I wonder how big that hole is?

Well, that was easy. I thought they would capture me and interrogate me. But the idea of forming a team of superheroes sounds interesting.

[Four days later]

Four days had passed since the disastrous events at the beach. New York City was slowly recovering from the chaos and destruction, thanks to the Illuminati.

I had spent those four days recuperating from the immense strain I had endured while trying to prevent the plane from crashing. My body had healed thanks to the Symbiote's regenerative abilities, but the pain and exhaustion still lingered.

Peggy had been by my side throughout my recovery, her presence a source of comfort and support. We spent our days together, talking, watching movies, and simply enjoying each other's company. It felt good to have her by my side...

During that time period, Gwen never came. I called her but she didn't pick up the call. When I asked Peggy about her, she said that Gwen is going through some tough times and she just needs some space.

[1 week later]

Another week passed without any news from Gwen. I was really getting worried about her and even went to her apartment many times, but she wasn't there. I asked Peggy's help and found out her location.

She is staying with her parents. Her father was a cop. He died in the line of duty three years ago.

Concerned for Gwen's well-being, I decided it was time to pay her a visit.

The house was located in a quiet suburban neighborhood. It was a quaint, two-story structure with a well-maintained garden in the front yard. I rang the doorbell and waited anxiously, my mind racing with thoughts of Gwen and the possible reasons for her absence.

The door creaked open, revealing a woman in her early forties with a concerned expression etched across her face. She had Gwen's unmistakable blonde hair but carried an air of weariness that suggested she had been through her share of hardships.

"Yes, how can I help you?" she inquired, her voice carrying a hint of worry as she regarded me, a stranger standing at her doorstep. She blinked a few times, "Oh, my God! Are you Chef Brian?"

"Yeah?" I replied.

"I am Helen Stacy," She replied with a happy smile. She looks excited, "It's really you. I can't believe it. Ah! What am I doing? Please come in."

Helen Stacy ushered me inside her home with genuine excitement, her eyes shining with delight. It was clear that she was a big fan of my work, which took me by surprise. As I stepped into the cozy living room, I couldn't help but notice the various cooking magazines and books that adorned the shelves, along with framed pictures of Gwen throughout the years.

"I can't believe you're here!" Helen exclaimed, her enthusiasm infectious. "I watch your show all the time. Gwen used to tease me about it, but I just love your recipes. Please, have a seat."

I took a seat on the comfortable couch, still slightly taken aback by the warm reception I was receiving. Helen sat down across from me, her eyes still twinkling with excitement.

"I'm really sorry to intrude like this," I began, "but I've been trying to get in touch with Gwen, and she hasn't been responding to my calls or messages. I just wanted to make sure she's okay."

"Huh? You know my daughter?" She asked.

"Yeah," I replied, "I am her boyfriend."
