Delayed Transfer

Mark returned to the RV and it was just in time to join everyone for lunch. After that, he and the kids went to the last circus in the Plaza of Laughter. The last circus was basically the same as theirs and the one that they went to yesterday. The acts were scattered all over the location with stalls selling snacks and food.

He could see that even though were entertained by the acts and everything they could see in the circus, they were getting tired of it.

“Mark, can we go home? This circus is just like ours and even the animals in their zoo are the same as ours. We’ll just play with our friends in our circus,” Isaac said with his brother fully agreeing with him.

Mark even wondered why it took them so long to get tired of the acts since they had been living amid the circus ever since they became family. After seeing a couple of acts, the twins wanted to return home and play with their friends so he obliged them. Liriel was okay with leaving early even though they had only spent a measly two hours.

Mark drove home while riding the golf cart and people were still stopping them once in a while to ask about the vehicle. They were still being followed by a veritable horde of children from the city and most of them were from some sort of slums by the look of their clothes. He was just glad that the circus and even the customers weren’t snobs that they would request those children to not enter the circus.

“Mark, can we invite those kids to join our play and can we play with the cart?” Aaron suddenly asked.

“Sure. You can even decorate and destroy the cart if you want to. I’ll need to ask Connor to look after you since it’s not allowed for you kids to play without somebody looking after you.”

Mark was glad that Connor was with Milena and the other two lady assistants helping them sell the items he conjured. There was a massive crowd in front of the stall, which was expected since their products were unique, the food was delicious, and the prices were affordable. While carrying Liriel, Mark asked Connor to look after the twins and informed the man that he allowed the children to invite the city kids to play with them in the cart.

“I know how to drive the cart Mark since it’s simple enough and Nedertu taught us to drive,” Connor said so he gave the keys to the man.

Mark went outside the circus while still carrying Liriel. He wanted to check out the Novice Dungeon since he was thinking of entering it. He hadn’t decided yet if he would allow the kids to join him though and he would need to talk to the elven sisters first. The little girl kept giggling at everything that she found interesting and she kept pointing it to Mark.

He asked for direction from some of the guards that were walking around the streets and surprisingly, it took him an hour before he reached the location where the Novice Dungeon was located.

There were a lot of young adventurers at the entrance of the dungeon and Mark could almost feel the sense of adventure, energy, and excitement in the air that came from the people who looked like teenagers to him.

There were also a lot of stalls selling weapons and armor and a stall that was selling valuable magic items.

Mark went directly to a couple of kids who looked like they were waiting for someone. The young adventurer looked like a warrior and a priestess based on their clothes. When the two adventurers saw him, they were wary at first but then they saw Liriel in his arms and their wariness immediately disappeared. He couldn’t blame them since Liriel looked very cute.

“Hello sir, how may we help you?” The young man who looked like a warrior since he was carrying a sword and a shield asked.

“Hi. My name is Mark and this little princess is my sister and her name is Liriel. You looked like you were waiting for someone. While you’re idle can I ask you questions about this dungeon? Have you been inside before?”

Liriel suddenly shouted “Mark!’ and then giggled and the young woman who looked like a priestess because of her costume smiled at Liriel.

“My name is Enos and this is Anura. We’re friends and you are correct, we're waiting for two people. Once they arrive we will enter the dungeon and yes, we’ve been inside this dungeon before.” The young man who called himself Enos said.

“I see. I’m planning to enter the dungeon as well and of course, before I do, I want to get more information just to be safe you know,” Mark said.

“If you want information about the dungeon, there’s a booklet for sale that has information about it, and depending on the price you can afford, the information could be quite comprehensive,” The woman who Enos said was called Anura told Mark.

Mark thanked the couple and went to the stall selling the books that contained information about the dungeon. He purchased the most expensive one that contained all the details of the dungeon up to the last floor. He skimmed the book quickly and according to it, all of the dungeon floor was some sort of cavern.

He wondered why it was always a cavern and remembered that this dungeon was for beginners and the elven sisters did mention once that beginner dungeons were almost always inside caves or caverns.

According to the book, the monsters inside the dungeon were the common ones like goblins, kobolds, gnolls, orcs, dire wolves, vampire bats, vicious vultures, ogres, mage ogres, and the last boss were a pair of wyverns surrounded by three two-headed mage ogres.

The strength and power of the monster increased on every floor but the types of monsters that you would see on the first few floors would be the same ones until the last floor except for the two wyvern bosses. Of course, they weren’t calling the final bosses in the dungeon as boss. They were simply calling it the leader of the monsters or the most powerful monster in the dungeon.

Mark then noticed that the two adventurers were still waiting so he and Liriel joined them again.

“You’re friends are still not here?” Mark asked.

“Obviously!” The girl said but Mark saw that she was annoyed but not with him. Probably with their friends who were late.

“If I may ask, what floor did you reach?” Mark asked the adventurers.

“We just arrived yesterday so we’ve only reached the third floor. We’re planning to start from the beginning again so we can earn enough coins to start watching the movies from the circus tomorrow. We’ve seen the flyers and according to the schedule, the beginning of the movie trilogy will start again tomorrow. According to our friends who had seen it, they were the best show that a person could see in their lifetime and that the shows had changed their life.” Enos said but then Anura snorted.

Mark almost laughed out loud when he heard the young adventurer’s comment regarding the movies and Anura’s reaction. It was so typical that the men would be interested and the women would have feelings of disdain. But he was sure that once they had seen the movies, they would get hooked too.
