Chapter 350

Mark kept chatting with Enos and Anura while the two adventurers were waiting for their friends. Since the young dungeon divers would start at the beginning, Mark suddenly thought of the idea of him and Liriel joining them since according to Enos, the first floor of the novice dungeon would only take an hour and the monsters inside were only goblins warriors, and thieves, no long-range attacker. He would just like to confirm if the first floor of the Novice Dungeon was similar to the first floor of his dungeon.

“Hey Enos, Anura, once your teammates arrive can me and Liriel join you in diving the dungeon, at least on the first floor? I want to check the inside of the first floor. You don’t need to worry about me since I’m a wizard and I will be able to protect Liriel without any problem,” Mark asked the two adventurers.

“Every group that enters the dungeon will be separate from each other, like multiple dimensions created at once and that means that as long as you’re able to pay, we can’t stop you but it would be better if you join us so we could look after the little girl,” Anura said while looking at him disapprovingly.

“Oh, it’s an Instance Dungeon. As I’ve said you don’t need to worry about me and Liriel,” Mark reiterated but Anura just stared at him, silently telling him that she didn’t believe him.

“What did you say? Instance Dungeon?” Enos asked.

“That’s what we call dungeons that create separate dimensions for each group that enters it in my country.”

Soon, two young men arrived, and based on their gear, they looked like an archer and a thief since one of them was carrying a bow on his back and the other had daggers on his belt.

“Lindo, Rudan, what took you so long!” Anura shouted at her newly arrived companions.

“We passed by that circus that had that theater and we saw a huge magical screen just outside the tent and it shows a very short play of the movies! It was the best thing that I’ve ever seen even though it only lasted for five minutes!” The young man who was carrying the bow said excitedly.

“I want to see it too!” Enos suddenly said and he looked like he wanted to run to the circus to see.

Anura glared fiercely at Enos and the boy stopped.

“They’re called movie trailers. The show inside the tent is called a movie and the advertisement on the huge screen that you saw was called a movie trailer,” Mark suddenly said causing everyone to look at him.

Mark thought that more than likely, Hamil borrowed the television set from Nedertu and Milena’s RV. The circus leader was probably worried right now about borrowing the television without asking him first but he would deal with it once he returned. It was a good idea though for the circus to show the trailers but to be honest about it, they probably didn’t need it since word of mouth alone was enough for the movies to become extremely popular.

“Lindo, Rudan, this is the mage Mark and his sister Liriel. He asked to join us so he could check the first floor of the dungeon and Anura already agreed.” Enos said.

Mark was surprised to see that the two newly arrived adventurers just shrugged.

“Come on let’s go, soon it’ll be night and we probably could only reach the third floor of the dungeon again,” Anura said coldly.

“I think that would be enough for us to earn coins to be able to see the movie tomorrow. I can’t wait!” Enos said.

“Just focus on fighting first! We don’t want any accident to happen,” Anura scolded Enos and she included her two other partners in her glare and she even spared a small glare towards Mark.

Mark understood that Anura was the undisputed leader of their adventurer group and more than likely, it was because she was the most responsible and sensible one. He thought at least the young men recognized that Anura should be their leader.

He then gave some coins to Anura as his and Liriel's share of the entrance fee from the dungeon.

“What do you usually earn from the monsters in the dungeon?” Mark asked Enos while Anura went off to pay the entrance fee.

“Well starting from the second floor, the monsters sometimes drop a mana stone but usually it’s from the body parts of some of the monsters since wizards and alchemists purchase them for some reason like maybe to create potions and enchanted items or something. If we’re lucky we sometimes find valuable items that a group of monsters collected from dead adventurers who challenged the dungeon but those could only be found at the deeper floors.  If we’re lucky enough to get even one mana stone, that will be enough for us to purchase tickets from the circus to watch that magical show!” Enos said excitedly.

Anura caught the tail end of Enos’s comment and she snorted.

Mark and Liriel together with the four young adventurers entered the Novice Dungeon. As expected, the first floor of the dungeon was a cave and after walking for a bit, they encountered their first group of monsters which consisted of five goblin warriors and thieves.

Liriel suddenly asked Mark to put her down so he did. While Enos and the others were planning on how to deal with the goblins, Liriel trotted forward to the dismay of Anura since she saw that Mark let her.

Liriel then pointed and shouted “Mark!” at the goblins who noticed her and suddenly ran towards the little girl. The guardian wisp that was hiding in her hair flew up and cast a spell on Liriel and now she was covered by a mage armor spell then the wisp flew towards the goblins and started attacking the monsters using mage bolts. After a few seconds, all of the goblins were dead and the wisp flew back to Liriel and hid beneath her hair.

The little girl giggled and ran towards Mark and asked to be carried again. The adventurers were shocked and stood gaping at Liriel.

“Your sister is so powerful! Is she a sorceress?” Lindo the archer asked and Mark just shrugged at him.

The young adventurer understood that Mark didn’t want to answer any details regarding Liriel so they didn’t ask any more questions.

“You can go ahead and take anything that you can from that group. We will not take anything from the monsters,” Mark told everyone.

“Are you sure? Some of the things that one could get from the monsters are valuable,” Anura asked.

“Yes, we don’t need them. They’re icky!’ Mark said and the others laughed.

Enos ran towards the place where the goblins died and unexpectedly, the warrior suddenly shouted.

“Oh, my divines! There’s a mana stone! And a couple of swords that looked expensive!”

“You must be mistaken! We’re only on the first floor!” Anura exclaimed while she walked towards Enos.

Everyone joined Anura in walking toward Enos and they did see that there was a mana stone and two good-looking swords.

“Are you sure you don’t want any part of the loot? It was your sister who killed the goblins and so easily if I do say so,” Anura asked again and Mark confirmed that they didn’t want any of the loot.

“Those loots are enough for us to purchase the circus ticket show!” Lindo the thief celebrated and the two other young men joined him while Anura sighed.

Mark just laughed and Liriel giggled to join him.
