Delayed Transfer

Watching the children from the circus and the kids from the city of Narcone designing and playing with the electric golf carts was highly entertaining. Even Hamil joined in on the fun for a few minutes by following their carts with the one he borrowed from Mark.

Before, Nedertu was the one driving the golf cart but now it was Hamil himself. Aaron was correct, it was truly easy to learn how to drive the tiny vehicle. The problem was that Isaac and Aaron kept driving Hamil away, shouting that his cart needed to become a spaceship from the Star Wars movies before he could join their fleet. Hamil laughed heartily when he heard the twins shout that sentence.

From the twinkling of Hamil’s eyes, Mark knew that the circus leader had an idea regarding making the circus more popular based on the golf carts but in Mark’s opinion, the circus was popular enough.

Mark carrying Liriel kept watching the kids play and he was not the only one. A lot of the circus’s customers were watching the children’s antics since it was truly funny.

He decided to join in on the fun by replicating a bicycle with a huge basket attacked at its front and he put Liriel on that. When he went near it using the bike, the children shouted that a tiny attack space ship was coming to attack them.

Liriel riding the bicycle basket laughed and giggled when she heard what the kids had said. The kids exclaimed when they saw Mark’s bikes and asked the twins what was the thing that he was riding and since it was the first time that Mark replicated the bicycle, of course, they couldn’t answer.

The twins confidently replied that they would know later and they would learn how to drive it and would ask their brother who was a powerful conjurer to conjure that vehicle for them. All of the children looked at the twins with envy in their eyes and that made them prouder.

After a couple of hours, with Mark’s permission, the twins retrieved a lot of snacks from their storage rings and the process looked like they were conjuring food from air. The twins kept boasting that their magic was given to them by their powerful wizard brother and Mark could almost see their noses float with how high the brothers lifted them while describing their “powerful wizard brother”.

All of the children enjoyed the food so much that the twins kept retrieving them from the storage rings without any regard to how much everyone had eaten already and Mark had to scold them to prevent the previous incident that already happened regarding causing indigestion to their friends. After scolding the twins, Mark, of course, moved away since he didn’t want to be a buzzkill regarding the kid’s play.

After about an hour more of snacking and playing, the twins said goodbye to their friends and told them that they would play again after their nap. The rich kids were retrieved by their guards and nannies and the poor ones joined together to go back to their homes bringing the food that the twins gave them and kept so they could share it with their families.

Mark was about to tuck the kids in the bed for their afternoon nap when they heard a knock on their door and when he checked it, it was the adventurers who had completed watching the first movie of the original Star Wars trilogy.

The moment he opened the door Enos shouted.

“Mark! The movie was the best thing I have ever seen in my life!”

The other two men fully agreed with Enos and had sparkling eyes. Anura finally relented and said that it was a “beautiful” story.

He invited the young adventures in and when the twins saw them, all of them began babbling about the Star Wars movies.

Mark was impressed by the twins since even though they were very young, they avoided spoiling the other movies for the adventurers. The twins boated though that they didn’t have to watch the movies in the theater since they could watch them in their huge television set anytime they wanted.

The boys also boasted to the adventurers the different movies that they had seen and the young adventurers had gleaming eyes while listening to the boys talk, even Anura.

They even told them about the Star Wars console game that they played before and after much cajoling from the twins and the adventurers, Mark finally relented and took out the PS5 and the twins showed the adventurers the game.

Mark saw that the adventurers had the makings to become otakus. Their excitement in seeing the game was tremendous and he almost expected them to snatch the controller from the twins. After a few minutes, Mark told the twins that it was time for their nap since Liriel was already asleep in his arms.

Without complaint, the twins stopped the console game and followed Mark to the bedroom and let him tuck them in.

When he returned to the living room, Enos suddenly asked him something.

“Mark, are you an archmage and only journeyed to our realm to entertain yourself?”

Mark laughed when he heard the young adventurer say that.

“What made you think so?”

“You are a very powerful wizard since you’re able to conjure these magical things and according to one of the theater guards who befriended us when he saw that we were your guests, all of the things that they were using and all of the movies came from you,” Enos said and all his party mates looked at him curiously.

“Well, I’m from a very powerful and advanced country that has major advancement when it comes to entertainment. I was assigned as one of the guards to a huge business caravan but I knew that I wouldn’t return since I don’t have family there anymore so I brought all of my things with me since I have a huge spatial storage and all the things that I have shared to the circus were those things.”

“You’re only a guard to a merchant caravan?! But according to that theater guard, you defeated ancient beholders, an undead monarch lich, and three skeletal dragons! How powerful is your country that you’re only a guard!” Anura gasped.

“I’m impressed at your information-gathering ability to be able to gather so many details in such a short time,” Mark laughed.

The young adventurers were embarrassed when they heard what Mark had said but they did notice that Mark didn’t want to talk about his past adventures anymore. He did offer them some snacks and Enos shamelessly accepted, to Anura’s embarrassment.

Mark conjured hamburgers, French fries, and soda for everyone and while they were eating, Anura asked if the stall selling those unique items was from him. When Mark confirmed, the adventures had these expressions that they knew that the stall was from him. When he asked what was all about, Anura then said that they saw that the items were highly unique and a lot of people were gathering to purchase them.

Anura and the others mentioned that they would have liked to purchase some but the people who were able to get there first were so relentless in getting the items that they were sure that even if they lined up, they wouldn’t be able to get some.

Mark laughed when he heard that and confirmed to the young adventurers that their customers queue up before they even open the stall and would normally be sold out after three or four hours.
