Delayed Transfer

“When are you planning to start diving the dungeons here?” Hamil asked Mark.

“I don’t know. Maybe once the twins got tired of playing Star Wars spaceships with their friends so I’m thinking after the Star Wars convention. You know, I’m kind of beginning to get excited about diving into the Labyrinth of Cormantura together with brand new powerful people. It’s like a whole new adventure waiting for me.”

“I almost want to join you. I knew for a fact that any adventure group that you’d join to dive the dungeon would experience a very comfortable diving experience. Aren’t you worried about leaving the twins and the little girl when dungeon diving?”

“Not really. I assumed that one floor would only last several hours or at most a day and after that, the group would leave the dungeon to rest. So it would just be like I went away for work in the morning and would come back in the evening to join my family. If worse comes to worst, I have a new spell that I learned recently that would allow me to create a Gate or Portal that would allow me to get home immediately.”

Mark, of course, hadn’t put any points on Warp Gate yet but he was in no hurry since he did have the skill points already. He was also still planning to get more items from the bosses in his dungeon since it would only take him at most an hour to kill all the bosses that he had conquered already which were the bosses from the tenth, twentieth, and thirtieth floor of his dungeon.

“By the way do you already have a costume for the Star Wars convention?” Mark asked Hamil.

“My wife is already making costumes for the whole family. Actually, everyone in the circus is quite busy and frantic in coming up with an idea of which costume they would wear. It’s so funny. I already mediated several quarrels about who should wear which costumes so I had to make a rule that if a costume was from an organization like the Jedi or the Sith, it was okay for them to wear the same costume and then an argument came up on who should wear the unique character costumes so I finally made a rule that anyone could wear whatever they wanted and the judges would decide on which was the best. I still didn’t have any idea what prize the circus people winner should receive,” Hamil replied.

“Ooh, I have an idea. To make it more interesting and enjoyable, I would contribute a bicycle and an electric cart as prizes so those who desire to have one will be more frantic in making sure that their costume is the best!” Mark laughed evilly and Hamil joined him.

“What is a bicycle?” Hamil asked after their evil laugh session.

“Oh, you haven’t seen the one that I conjured?”

Mark then replicated a bicycle then demonstrated to Hamil how it was ridden. The circus leader then asked to be taught how to ride so an impromptu bicycle riding tutorial session occurred. Some people came and watched Hamil make a fool of himself but because people in this world had higher stats, it only took about ten minutes before Hamil could use the bicycle without any problem.

“This is a fine toy vehicle!” Hamil excitedly said.

“Actually, this vehicle was used by my people to go to nearby places if they didn’t want to use a vehicle. Even though you may look upon this contraption as a toy, it’s actually a very useful tool. Not only that, our country established a professional bicycle race.”

Mark stored the bicycle then Hamil said that he would announce to everyone the top three prices for the circus people who would win the Star Wars convention costume contest. Basically, Hamil decided that the third-place winner would receive gold coins, the second-place winner would receive the bicycle and the grand prize would be the electric golf cart.

Mark explicitly told Hamil that he would not be joining the costume contest and he would not participate as a judge but everyone else could join including the twins, Liriel, and the rest of his family. If the twins or Liriel won, they could give the winning prize to their friends.

Mark entered the RV and soon Liriel woke up. He noticed that Milena and the others had already started cooking so both he and Liriel amused themselves by watching Peppa Pig on the television while waiting for everyone to arrive for dinner.

He was simply amazed at the content that his best friend Sam stored in Mark’s hard drives since he was able to find Peppa Pig there. Even the old-school children's show like Sesame Street was in there as well and he wondered how Sam found those.

Mark was laughing with Liriel while watching the animated show and soon, all of his family members entered the RV. Nedertu, Milena, and her assistants were carrying the food they cooked and the twins were in high spirits. There were also some unexpected guests which were the young adventurer group Anura, Enos, and their two party members.

Milena did cook a bountiful amount of food so it wouldn’t be a problem for the young adventurers to join them for dinner and he wondered how Milena knew.

“I saw Anura earlier and she asked me if it was okay for them to join us for dinner. I told them that it was alright but the food that we would be serving would be the ones that I would cook and they said that they were fine with it so I invited them,” Milena said.

While they were eating, Nedertu mentioned something funny and exciting.

“The whole circus felt and looked like everyone was injected with chicken blood when they heard that the first place prize for the costume contest for the circus people would be the electric cart. Now everyone was scrambling to make sure that their costume would be the best one even though there was a week and a half left before the Star Wars convention would be held. The tickets for the convention would be available starting the day after tomorrow and only five thousand tickets would be sold.”

“Hamil already made a small announcement regarding that and people from the city were already lining up at the designated place where the seats would be sold. Of course, only the rich folk did since they hired people to line up for them. There’s almost a thousand people already lined up,” Milena added.

“I wish we could join but we will be busy doing some adventure work and we don’t have the coins to hire people to line up for us and even if we take the time to queue, we can’t afford the ticket price,” Enos sadly said.

Mark then asked how much was the ticket for the Star Wars convention and he was flabbergasted at the amount that Hamil set. Nedertu defended the price saying that Star Wars-themed food would be served and Star Wars theme music and venue would be set up for the convention and he heard that Hamil would talk to him a few days before the convention for the food that the circus would serve.

“I told Hamil that you would agree but he needs to make sure that your cut from the ticket price is appropriate with the amount of contribution you will give,” Milena informed Mark.

Mark just nodded. He also told Enos and his friends that they should arrive wearing their costumes on the day of the convention and he would handle their ticket. The young adventurers were delighted that Mark would allow them to join the convention for free and even Anura was happy.
