Delayed Transfer

“That was a huge success! From now on, our circus will be able to operate here in Narcone without any issues from any governmental departments. We can even ask them for assistance if any private organization starts harassing us, not that that happens too much, only to those groups that don’t have power,” Hamil said while they were walking back to the circus.

Mark could see that Hamil was elated with how well-received the movies were and to be honest about it, he wasn’t expecting anything else. Ever since he had shown the films to anyone in this world, they would be well-received.

“Did you receive any payment from those officials?” Mark asked curiously.

Hamil, Nedertu, and the others laughed when they heard Mark’s question.

“With something like that, you don’t expect to be compensated since their form of payment will be our protection while we are in the city in the form of their favor. If we had received any coin payments, I would have worried,” Hamil said.

Mark blushed when he heard the others laugh. The question that he had just asked showed his inexperience. That form of trade with the officials or with nobles was common in books and movies and even on Earth, it was practiced by some politicians, although that fact still came from the books that he had read and television shows that he had seen.

“Are you going to show them the Star Wars Episode One to Three?” Mark asked.

“We’re still in the middle of talks regarding that but of course, I have no choice but to show them the films but we will be compensated for that. I would probably show them the next three films after the Star Wars convention,” Hamil answered.

The sun was already setting when they arrived back in the circus and Mark could see that the twins and their friends were still playing with the electric golf carts that were customized by them to look like Star Wars spaceships.

When the twins saw them, they suddenly shouted that it was time to go home. Even though their friends complained, they all followed the twins and sent them to the RV to charge the vehicles and the kids suddenly disappeared as if they melted in the surroundings. Liriel was with Milena and Lisa and they were in the second RV cooking their dinner.

“Did something interesting happen in the palace, Mark?” Isaac asked while they were waiting for Milena to bring them their dinner.

Lisa arrived with Liriel and when she put down the little girl, Liriel ran to Mark and hugged him. Mark carried Liriel and answered Isaac’s question.

“Nothing interesting really happened. The palace was very beautiful but it was just a bunch of well-dressed people watching the Star Wars films.”

When Milena arrived together with Nedertu, Connor, and Norleen, they all ate their dinner while talking about the things that happened that day. It was a happy dinner and Mark couldn’t deny that they were now truly a family.

The next day arrived and while Rendira tutored the children, Mark went to his dungeon to farm items from the bosses in the tenth, twentieth, and thirtieth floor which only took him an hour. Sadly there were no mythical items just a couple of legendary ones and three magic blue items which he kept on the first floor of the dungeon unidentified. He would identify them at a later time.

He went back to the RV after taking a bath then waited for the children’s tutoring session to be over since they were going to the tailor to get the twin’s costumes. The eleven sisters already delivered the R2D2 costume that Liriel was going to ride on and Eilintraee complained that Mark forgot to get the costume from them.

Liriel was delighted to sit inside the robot since Mark made sure that the little girl would be comfortable inside it and the twins were looking at the R2D2 enviously especially when they tried it out and they also fit inside it, although it was a bit cramped.

When they went to the tailor’s, everyone saw that the twin’s costumes were done and Mark immediately stored them in his inventory, replicated it, and gave the copies to the twins to make sure that he would have the original with him and that he could give the twins a clean, new Jedi and Sith costumes whenever they wanted.

“Mark, can we wear them now?” Isaac asked and Aaron joined his brother in pleading to wear the costumes.

“If you wear them now, everyone will get used to you both wearing them and the costume’s impact during the convention would lessen and that would probably result in you not winning,” Mark advised the twins.

“We don’t care since we already own a copy of the winning prizes,” Isaac said and his brother obviously agreed with him so Mark allowed the twins to wear the costumes.

While they were walking home, the twins were strutting, showing off their costumes to everyone and they actually retrieved their lightsaber toy from their storage rings and showed it off to everyone. The twins walking the street of Narcone literally caused traffic since a lot of people stopped to look at the twins. Most of the people who stopped to check out the twin's attire were obviously fans of the movies and the boys holding the glowing toy lightsaber brought a sense of excitement to the fans and this made the boys prouder.

Soon, to the amazement of Mark, an army of children gathered and kept shouting to Isaac and Aaron that they looked good. He noticed that some of the children were also wearing costumes as well and this made Mark laugh. They hurried back to the circus since Mark didn’t want to cause any more commotion in the streets of Narcone since he saw that some guards were arriving to inspect what the hullaballoo was about.

When they arrived at the circus, the twins and their friends from the circus and the city rushed towards the charging three electric carts and they brought it out to play. Liriel clamored to Mark to hurry home and wondered what was it about so when he brought Liriel inside the RV, the little girl went inside the R2D2 costume and asked Mark to bring her out to join her brothers so Mark sighed and brought Liriel out who was inside the robot.

He then saw Connor near Milena’s stall and asked Milena’s assistant to bring Liriel to the twins and to look after the kids then Mark went inside the RV to rest.

In the next few days, Mark planned to go back into dungeon diving. He wanted to finish his dungeon as soon as possible so he could start exploring the labyrinth dungeon in the city. The next big event that would happen was the Star Wars convention but that was more than a week away so he currently had the time to concentrate on dungeon diving. Regarding pursuing Arissa, he wouldn’t be able to force it since the only way for him to meet the young lady was to go to the university and look for her so during this time he would just stick to his current girlfriend which was his left hand. He was thankful for his villa on the eleventh floor since he had a private place to have a romantic venue with his girlfriend anytime he was feeling horny.

Mark was still a bit wary of looking for women in this world’s red light district since he hadn’t talked to anybody about it yet and he would not go near Madam Luzviminda for that kind of thing.
