Demon's Shadow

With his arm out Andrew gathered energy at the palm of his hand and then shot it, the energy hit a wall and left a small dent in it.

"Of course this is only an example so I won't be showing you the full extent of energy discharging but that should have given you a pretty good idea of what it could do if trained and used correctly and at it's full extent." Andrew said.

"Now I'd like you all to try and do it." Andrew said.

Following the clear cut example given, Anastasia gathered energy into the palm of her hand and then released it in a mist-like form, thereafter Floyd along with Jillton and all the other did the same, including myself.

'Surprisingly energy discharging was much faster and easier to do than the other two methods.'

"Energy discharging is easier for you all in the Elite Class to do, due to the fact that Jesica was actually just making you'll train your energy dischargement by lifting that stone ball, although it only helped slightly that was enough of a kick start for you six geniuses to get a good grasp on the concept." The corners of Andrew's mouth moved up in excitement and astonishment but returned to their usual straightness a second later.

"All of your energy discharged is still in a mist-like state so maybe calling you geniuses is a little bit of an overstatement." -Andrew went back to teaching- "There are only three states of energy before having mastered energy ,at a basic level, and being able to move onto mana or magic."

"The first state is the misty state you all had just performed. The second state is the solid state where you can strengthen your energy. The third state is a flow state where the energy is as fluent as the misty state and as strong as the solid state." Andrew said.

"You all have already accomplished the misty state, partially, and because I had nothing else planned you talk to each other or do whatever you want until academy hours are over." Andrew sat down and said.

A few minutes later the clicking of heels could be heard as Anastasia got up from her seat and approached Floyd.

Everyone looked their eyes glued to the circumstances which could unfold, after all a princess of the dragon kingdom walking up to the adversary who had bested her in battle would cause quite the commotion.

Even the professor looked at Anastasia and Floyd.

"Why did you use your Shadow Demon during our battle?"

Anastasia stood next to Floyd, looking down on him, Floyd on the other had kept his head rested on his desk but still looked to the side and upward to meet the princesses gaze.

"...." Floyd's mouth didn't moved except for when he let out a sigh which, of course did not escape Anastasia's sight.

"Was I somehow so weak you couldn't care to fight me with your Shadow Demon?" Anastasia who had clearly been blown off by Floyd still remained composed and undeterred.

"Many others have asked me the same thing and I always have to answer the same way." Floyd stated in a low, groggy but clearly audible voice that everyone could hear.

"Then tell me why." Anastasia still remained calm and stood over Floyd who merely shuffled his head and looked down at his desk.

"My Shadow Demon's too weak." he said clearly before he dozed off and quiet snores could be heard coming from him.

"Too weak. That's one of the two off the list then." Anastasia mumbled to herself so no one could hear.

Spinning on the heels of her foot she turned around and walked straight in my direction by passing through the middle row of seats.

'Anastasia had a beautiful down right gorgeous appearance and figure befitting of a princess... '

「Bro, wake up.」

'Huh, oh yeah. Why exactly is she coming towards me of all people.'

Quickly turning around I gazed behind me just encase, but there were only empty seats as there were currently only six of the Elite Class students in the class.

Then she is really coming to talk to me and why is she even coming to talk to me when she could talk to any other guy, or girl, in the room.

"I just want to have A Quick Chat." Anastasia smiled slightly as she sat down next to me.

'Have I inadvertently gotten into some dragon affairs, or maybe I somehow offended someone important to her, maybe she's just trying to make connects but if she is then she's talking to the absolute last person she should be talking to.'

"It's nothing serious. I can tell by the look on your face you must have thought I came over here to give you a warning or beat you up or something of that nature." Anastasia said sarcastically with a chuckle.

"Sign. Was it really written all over my face." I, too, chuckled and noticed the small curved black horns which poked out through all of Anastasia's long black hair.

"Anyway, what did you want to say?" I stopped chuckling after a while and said whilst looking at Anastasia.

Walking towards Azriel, I, Anastasia, felt my Shadow Demon slightly nudge me and urge me not to approach him.

Paying it no mind I walked forward with no hesitation as my Shadow Demon's wariness only furthered my belief of the fact that he could be the last and first one prophesied about.

I looked at Azriel white hair, ignoring his moment of gawking at me and taking a seat next to him only a moment later.

'Operation find out if he's who I'm looking for is on a roll.'

Exchanging a few words with him I noticed nothing maddening, despaired, unfortunate about him.

"Anyway, what did you want to say?" Azriel said after he had calmed down his chuckling.

"Did you find the stone ball , we did in Jesica's class ,hard to lift with energy?" I asked.

"I found it a little challenging but it was worth it to gain a little bit of a better understanding with energy. don't you agree?" Azriel said.

"It was a little challenging, I agree with you on that, but I also do think it did help us with understanding our energy control along with other things." I raised one of my hands and said as I recalled what happened.

'He's quite easy to talk to, unlike some of the other ten talents, and I can't see him possessing some unforeseen Misfortune that'd drive him insane.'

'Well, anything can happen in a day so I might have to keep a watch on him, but all in all he's clear and he might be a good person to talk to if I ever need some help or just have some free time.' 

"That's all I want to say, I'll see you around, I guess." I said as I turned around and stood up from my seat and headed back.

"Yea, see you around, I guess." Azriel said as I stood up.
