During the Dark Ages

Colin flew towards the Mullvad mountain range which was around two kilometers away from M town. The mountain range was arranged in a semi circle with six mountains and three smaller hills, with an open grassy plain in between and as well as a river. The river flowed through the plain into the ocean and Colin could already see beasts gathered around it to drink water. They didn't seem to be fighting, but cautious of each other, which was a rare sight to see.

'I need to find some kind of cave entrance that leads into the mountains. Or any kind of deposit of cursed ores would be nice.' Colin thought and activated [Aura Vision], but sighed soon after. The entire mountain range was lit with red energy, way more energy than Colin has ever seen, making it feel a bit overwhelming. It was obvious that a large amount of demonic energy was concentrated in these mountains, making Colin think that these mountains were definitely cursed. A thought which made him chuckle to himself.

With his [Stealth] trait active, Colin flew close to the ground, using [Demon Eyes] to look for any strong trails leading into mountains. He flew around the first mountain and soon found a powerful energy trail, along with a red blood trail leading into the mountain. He soon found a cave, there were fresh claw marks and blood stains at the entrance to the cave, which meant that there were most likely beasts inside. Colin entered the cave and he was immediately shrouded in darkness, but luckily for him, all demons can see in the dark. He followed the blood stains deeper and deeper into the cave and as he did, he found small pockets of cursed ores.

'Bingo.' Colin thought, but he soon found that the caves were getting slightly smaller.

'Uhh, in a small environment like this, my wings will be nothing but a nuisance.' He thought and black mist surrounded him, causing his wings to disappear. During the week traveling to M town, there wasn't much for Colin to do, but to practice the things Lily thought. He managed to learn the partial transformation technique, even after Lily's vague explanation.

Walking down the tunnel, he found more and more cursed ores, giving the cave a red ambiance. He soon came across a small chamber, barely big enough to fit him, where he could hear munching and crushing sounds inside. Reaching inside, he could see the corpse of a large bear, and beside it, was a large mole, around the size as an English mastiff dog munching away at it's corpse. The mole had brown fur, long claws, short legs and four long red crystal spikes on it's back. Colin tried to use [Demon Eyes] on the beast, but it didn't work. Suddenly, the mole stopped eating and lifted up it's snout, sniffing the air before letting out a loud squeak.

'Shit, how did it notice me?' Colin thought as the mole dived into the ground and swam through it like a shark in water, with the crystal spikes on it's back still visible. Colin moved out of the way, but the mole turned making it clear that it could sense his presence. He deactivated his [Stealth] trait while trying to avoid the mole heading towards him.

'Shit, this is one of the worst environments for me to fight in. I can't use any particularly destructive attacks, unless I want to collapse the entire cave on myself. That means I'm gonna have to do this old fashioned way.' Colin said and stopped running for a moment, and stood his ground. The beast jumped out of the ground, it's blood jaws wide open, displaying it's fangs and beady black eyes. Colin wrapped his fist in hellfire and punched the beast in the face, sending it flying across the chamber. The beast crashed heavily into the wall, and it squealed in pain as it's face was burned by hellfire. Colin rushed towards the beast and earth spikes started erupting from the ground and Colin was impaled through the leg by a spike. More erupted from the ground and Colin quickly jumped into the air. He kicked off the ceiling towards the mole and the creature squealed as Colin grabbed it by the neck. The creature squealed and scratched Colin with it's claws, but that only made Colin squeeze tighter as he incinerated the creature with hellfire.
