Emperor Phoenix World

Chapter 12 She is not as good as a dog 2

Yemo wanted to find out why her body could clearly practice but couldn’t store power.

She needed to treat Yilin, and she also had to deal with those people in the General’s Mansion who didn’t want her there.

“Yeah,” Yemo nodded. “I’ll be really busy, so I’ll come in to update you.”

“Then just contact me,” Feng Qi said, looking at Yemo. “Mo Mo, the Phoenix Ring is yours, and no one else can take it away because I, Feng Qi, only recognize you as the master. But Mo Mo, you’re in a special physical condition, and I’m afraid someone might try to attack you because of the Phoenix Ring.”

“Don’t worry,” Yemo replied, smiling at Feng Qi. “I’m not that careless. I won’t casually display the power of the Phoenix Ring.” Although Feng Qi often left her speechless, she knew he was genuinely looking out for her.

“Alright, then go and do your work. I won’t get bored here.”

“Okay,” Yemo said before leaving the space with a thought.

Feng Qi stood there and sighed. He knew why Mo Mo’s body was special, but he didn’t know how to tell her. Should he tell her about the entity inside her body? Forget it, it didn’t seem to be responding now. He’d tell Mo Mo when there was a reaction.

After Yemo left the Phoenix Ring’s space, she saw Yiluo entering.

“Miss, please wait a moment. The items to be removed have already arrived,” Yiluo said as she walked up to Yemo in the hall.

“Yeah,” Yemo nodded and walked out of the house. As she passed by Yiluo, Yemo said casually, “Yiluo, help me find out what has been happening in the Qilan Empire recently, especially anything related to the General’s Mansion.”

Yemo wouldn’t have been called back by Ye Zheng just for the affairs of the General’s Mansion. It was the same with what Yetian had mentioned before. He had informed Yeyang and Yetian but not Yeyan. The second lady didn’t seem to know the reason.

If Yemo knew why Ye Zheng had called her back, she wouldn’t have sent an assassin to kill her.

“Yes,” Yiluo responded and turned to head inside the room.

Yeyan had been living in Yuheyuan for so many years. If everything was destroyed, it would take a while to rebuild.

So Yiluo had ordered people to remove the items from the main house and replace them with new ones.

After a considerable amount of work, the main room had been redecorated.

In the front hall, Yemo’s eyes scanned the maids, and her lips parted slightly as she said, “It’s been a long day; you may go down and rest.”

Upon hearing this, the maids left.

Yilin woke up and walked out, just in time to see the maids leaving. She rubbed her eyes and asked Yemo, “Miss, are you hungry?” Yemo was about to reply, but her ears twitched, and she decided not to say anything.

Yilin and Yiluo also noticed people approaching from outside and stood beside Yemo, waiting for them.

A young maid approached, her face filled with fear. She had witnessed Yemo killing the housekeeper’s nephew earlier in the day, and she was now terrified to see Yemo again.

Yemo didn’t say anything, just looked at the maid.

Under Yemo’s gaze, the maid, trembling with fear, managed to say, “Fifth… Miss Wu, the general invites you to the front hall for dinner.”

“Invite me to the front hall for dinner?” Yemo raised her eyebrows. After all, Ye Zheng probably didn’t want to see her at this moment. Why would he ask a maid to invite her?

“Let’s go,” Yemo said. Regardless of the reason, since he had sent the maid to call her, it wouldn’t hurt to go and find out.
