In The Apocalypse With My Sacred Dimension System

Chapter 26: Chaos In The City

Geoffrey, who saw the consequences of Theodore's actions, was wide-eyed and even more shocked when he felt his hand being pulled.

"Don't stay still, you idiot! Run!" Theodore, who pulled Geoffrey's hand, shouted loudly.

Geoffrey instantly came to his senses and immediately followed Theodore's footsteps as he ran ahead of him.

Even so they were still invaded by the zombie horde, fortunately there were many people outside the apartment so the situation there was very chaotic.

There were screams from all directions which made the atmosphere very tense. Theodore was really not happy to be here, he wanted to get back to his house as soon as possible.

For that Theodore must immediately find Roxanne's whereabouts, he then turned to Geoffrey who was behind him.

"Look around, who knows your sister is already around here," Theodore said as he continued to move forward towards the restaurant Roxanne had come to.

"I haven't seen her yet. It looks like she's stuck in that restaurant," Geoffrey replied in horror as he saw how chaotic the situation around their apartment was.

At that moment, Theodore saw several people shouting loudly while running towards them, behind the group of people there were many zombies chasing them.

Theodore who saw it was creeped out, he did not know whether the group of people deliberately ran towards him or not.

But, Theodore didn't want to face that many zombies, so he immediately turned towards a dark alley to turn around.

Fortunately, Geoffrey, who was behind Theodore, was quick to respond, so he could follow Theodore's steps.

"Geoffrey, turn on the flashlight!" Although going into a dark alley like this was not a good solution, Theodore had to do it.

Geoffrey quickly took out his flashlight from his pants pocket and pointed it at the road ahead of them.

"Why did you turn?" Geoffrey frowned unhappily, he had no idea why Theodore chose to take a detour.

"Don't you see, those people are deliberately bringing zombies to us." Theodore said irritably.

"Is that so?!" Geoffrey was honestly shocked when he heard Theodore's reply, he didn't expect anyone to do such an evil thing.

Then they both fell silent when they heard a terrifying growling sound not far from them.

Geoffrey, who was afraid, immediately shrank his body towards Theodore; he also pointed his flashlight around him to look for someone there.

It seemed that because Geoffrey pointed his flashlight with fear, there was the sound of zombie steps approaching towards them.

Fortunately, Theodore moved quickly when he saw the zombies entering his line of sight. However, Theodore was too focused on the zombies in front of him, he didn't pay attention to Geoffrey who was behind him.

Until finally Theodore heard a scream from behind him. Instantly Theodore felt fear in his heart.

Theodore turned around and saw three zombies surrounding Geoffrey. Theodore was really worried when he saw that, so he moved quickly towards Geoffrey.

"Geoffrey, don't be afraid! Use your baseball bat!" Theodore shouted to wake up Geoffrey who was very scared at the moment.

The distance between Theodore and Geoffrey was quite long, but he had to launch an attack to help the besieged Geoffrey.

Theodore unconsciously summoned a dagger from his sacred dimension, he immediately threw the dagger at one of the zombies in front of Geoffrey.

At least with that Theodore could buy time, so when the zombie was already in the range of his sword, he thrust his sword towards the head of the zombie that was pressing towards Geoffrey.

Following up on his attack Theodore swung his sword at the remaining zombies.

After taking out all the zombies that surrounded them, Theodore quickly crouched down to help Geoffrey.

Theodore also pulled both of Geoffrey's shoulders to help him get up.

"Are you okay? Were you bitten?" Theodore immediately checked Geoffrey's body.

There was a blank look in Geoffrey's eyes and his face was pale, even Theodore's shaking had no effect on him.

Theodore sighed roughly when he saw how shocked Geoffrey was at the moment, they had to get out of there quickly because there was a possibility that there were still zombies there.

Inevitably Theodore picked Geoffrey up and dragged him away from the dark alley; they had to find Roxanne's whereabouts immediately.

"Damn, I didn't know this path would be so winding," said Theodore, starting to regret turning here.

Theodore also glanced at Geoffrey who was on his lap and he sighed harshly.

"Geoffrey, are you okay?" Theodore had to confirm if Geoffrey was okay because it would be very dangerous if Geoffrey was infected.

"I-I ... am fine." Geoffrey's voice sounded shaky at this moment.

"Are you sure?" Theodore did not really believe Geoffrey's claim.

Geoffrey also nodded his head confidently, he felt no pain in any part of his body. Rather than physical injuries it was actually Geoffrey's mental state that was a bit shaken by what happened to them just now.

"Hang in there, we'll be there soon," Theodore said.

The restaurant Roxanne went to led directly to the highway that would lead to the city center, so right now from a distance Theodore saw a puff of smoke.

It seemed like the streets there were more chaotic than Theodore had imagined. They would definitely find a lot of zombies there given that the road would definitely be very crowded even though it was already midnight.

Theodore then sat Geoffrey on the side of the hallway and looked at him seriously.

"I know you must be in shock. But, I need your help to find your sister, there will be a lot of zombies ahead, if you can't help me you better say it now," Theodore said at length.

Geoffrey was downcast when he heard Theodore's words, he wanted to help but the fear overwhelmed his mind and made him unable to do much.

However, if Geoffrey stayed here and let Theodore go alone to find Roxanne, he would most likely die at the hands of those zombies.

"I'm sorry, big brother. I'll help you this time," Geoffrey said, still bowing his head, but his hand was tightly gripping the baseball bat.

Honestly, Theodore was a little relieved at this time after hearing Geoffrey's words, he did not think that he also seemed unable to get through this apocalypse alone.

Theodore extended his hand towards Geoffrey, "It's time we saved your sister!"

Geoffrey looked up and saw Theodore's outstretched hand and annoying grin on his face.

Without hesitation Geoffrey grabbed the helping hand and stood back up, he now realized that now was not the time for him to be afraid.

Even though he could become a zombie after this, at least he had done the best he could and Geoffrey knew that he would not regret his choice to accept Theodore's helping hand.
