In The Apocalypse With My Sacred Dimension System

Chapter 27: Smoke Down

Theodore as well as Geoffrey did not dare to be too rash at the moment, from where they were hiding just now they could already see the chaos on the main road at the moment.

Along the road many cars were stalled with many of them having their hoods gaping open and smoking.

Not only that from the city center there were also puffs of smoke that were already soaring, Theodore could already think of what kind of chaos had hit the city center.

If it was this chaotic then Theodore had to find Roxanne as soon as possible. The longer they took to find Roxanne, the less likely she was to survive.

Their apartment could also be under threat right now, given that the crime rate would increase during an apocalypse like this.

"Big brother, how is this? I'm sure there are zombies ahead!" Geoffrey felt that he wanted to retract his words this time.

"We need to find your sister quickly." Theodore said with a flat face.

"How? I don't even know if my sister is still in that restaurant or not," Geoffrey replied quite frustrated at the moment.

For a moment Theodore was silent thinking about what they should do right now. Geoffrey's words were also true because they did not know the exact location of Roxanne's whereabouts.

It was just that they didn't find any trace of Roxanne during the trip here, so it was likely that she was still around the restaurant.

"Then, can you focus on finding your sister's whereabouts?" Theodore thought that they could not focus on finding Roxanne's whereabouts because they were both busy fighting.

If one of them focused on searching and the other protected the other, then their search could be faster.

"You yourself will protect me and stand guard?" Geoffrey could not believe Theodore was actually suggesting something as risky as that.

"Yes, you can entrust that to me." Theodore nodded his head confidently.

"Then let's do it like that," Geoffrey replied in agreement with Theodore's suggestion.

"Alright, just remember to stay close to me." Theodore reminded Geoffrey one last time before they moved forward.

Geoffrey nodded with a serious look on his face, although he would focus on finding his brother but still he had to be ready to fight if the zombies jumped towards him.

When no one noticed Theodore quietly muttered something. Because Theodore had previously slaughtered the zombies that blocked their way, his level had risen.

Not only that Theodore also gained a skill that was very useful for his current situation.

Ding!

[Get the Area of Protection Skill!]

[Area of Protection

Makes the area around the caster immune to all incoming attacks for 5 minutes.

Cooldown: 8 minutes

Area range: 5 meters (from the caster)]

Theodore didn't know why he could suddenly get a very useful skill like this. Even so Theodore was still very grateful for that.

This way Theodore could protect Geoffrey from zombie attacks, this skill was very useful for surviving in times like this.

"Let's move." Theodore began to step out of their hiding place.

Geoffrey also followed Theodore's steps closely, not wanting to be far away from Theodore.

The electricity connection around the city had been cut off and it was quite dark around the place as there was no illumination from the lights.

"Should we use a flashlight, big brother?" Geoffrey was quite troubled by the circumstances around them.

"Do you want to be pounced on by zombies?" Theodore gave Geoffrey a contemptuous look.

Seeing Theodore's reaction, Geoffrey grimaced and didn't say anything else.

Not being able to let his guard down, Theodore was greeted with a horde of zombies that started attacking towards him and Geoffrey.

This time when Theodore realized that he became stronger when he fought with these zombies.

The first thing Theodore thought was that this was all because he had leveled up. Theodore also thought that there was nothing wrong with him slaughtering these zombies if it could make him stronger.

Theodore relentlessly swung his sword to kill the zombies that jumped at them.

"Big brother, the restaurant is up ahead!" Geoffrey could already see the restaurant not far from their current position.

"Move over there, I'll follow you." Theodore immediately told Geoffrey to move.

Theodore started using his skills to keep Geoffrey safe and he kept making sure that Geoffrey was within the range of his skills.

Theodore quickly caught up with Geoffrey after killing the zombies that came at him.

"Did you find your sister?" With quite a breath Theodore asked Geoffrey.

"The problem is that the door of this restaurant is locked from the inside," Geoffrey replied anxiously.

The problem was that Theodore couldn't see inside the restaurant because all the lights were off and only darkness was visible from the outside.

"Call your sister and bang on the door," Theodore said then.

"But, what about the noise it will make? Won't that attract more zombies?" Geoffrey became quite frightened when he heard Theodore's words.

"Then, you want me to break the glass door of this restaurant?" Theodore rolled his eyes lazily.

Geoffrey thought that there was no right choice from what Theodore said. So, Geoffrey finally chose to do what Theodore said before, he would trust Theodore to handle the consequences of this action.

"Sister! It's me Geoffrey, if you're inside answer me!" Geoffrey shouted for his brother and started banging on the glass door.

As expected, the noise Geoffrey made attracted more zombies towards them.

Theodore wanted to curse when he saw the distinctive groaning sounds of the zombies start shuffling towards him.

Realizing that this was a risk he had to take, Theodore grasped the sword that had been stained with blackish blood.

Geoffrey looked back and saw how Theodore was fighting with the zombies that kept coming.

Seeing Theodore's difficulty, Geoffrey banged on the restaurant's glass door even more.

Until finally Geoffrey heard a movement from inside the restaurant.

"Brother! I'm coming to save you, so don't be afraid!" Geoffrey thought that Roxanne didn't believe him.

Then, Geoffrey heard a voice from inside the restaurant and he was sure that it was the voice of his sister, Roxanne.

"Is it really you, Geoff?" Roxanne's voice trembled as she said it.

"Yes, sister. I came together with Brother Theodore, just opened the door and we had to go back to the apartment." Geoffrey quickly explained what they should do immediately.

Soon the sound of the door slowly opening from inside, Geoffrey quickly helped Roxanne out of the restaurant.

Seeing Geoffrey's figure who really came to save her Roxanne immediately hugged her brother.

"Geoff, I didn't expect you to come." Roxanne's voice trembled with tears.

"I wouldn't have been able to save you if it wasn't for brother Theodore." Geoffrey patted Roxanne lightly on the back to calm her down.

Realizing that they had to leave immediately, Geoffrey released his brother's embrace and spoke seriously.

"Sister, we need to leave here immediately. Brother Theodore is holding back the zombies and he won't be able to hold that zombies forever," Geoffrey said later.

Roxanne nodded her head in agreement with Geoffrey's words.

"Big brother! I've found my sister!" Geoffrey shouted to Theodore who was not too far from them.
