Ketch Me as I Fall

Chapter 13: 13

By the time the sun lazily reached through the shades, I was exhausted. But Elly was finally asleep, though she still clutched tightly to me. I had given up hoping she would fall into her own restful sleep a few hours ago and had used my abilities to force her into one. This had to be better than being in pain the entire night though, and I would take that small win.

She'd cried through most of the night, shivering and shaking when she did fall asleep, only to wake up to scream or throw up a few moments later. I could only think of how many things were going through her system. There must be so much to crash down from. It wasn't fair to watch her suffer through it when I could so easily make it better.

I looked away from her as a knock sounded at the door. I pried myself from her grip carefully and got up to answer it. I was met with apologetic silver eyes once I'd opened it.

"Hi," I said, no louder than a whisper.

"Hi," Ketch said gently, looking more at the ground than at me. "...How is she? I'm guessing it was a hard night."

"She's been asleep for a while now. Had to force her into it." I sighed. "We should wait another day. Let her and the kid rest a little more. I'm sure she's pretty messed up too."

"Ally's still sleeping. I didn't wake her." He said softly.

"Arthur. About last night…" I started. "She is sorry. She spent a lot of time crying about it last night."

"It's behind us. Best to forget and move on." Ketch sighed deeply. "I was thinking we should go back and recheck the school anyway. Make sure we didn't miss any. Figured we'd be staying another day."

I bit my lip gently and looked over my shoulder at Elly. She still slept soundly. "I…I don't want to leave her alone."

"I can take the kid then." He shrugged. "I'm sure she'd be up for that."

"Don't push her too much." I sighed, a hand going to my head. "I'm worried about her too. The whole deal thing has me on edge."

"She'll be fine." He reached out for my shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "She's got another ten years, and we'll be sending her back long before that time is up."

"I don't… never mind." I looked back at Elly again, so many thoughts running through my head at once. "They did horrible things to her, Arthur."

He nodded in agreement. "They drugged her up pretty good."

"Not just that." I swallowed hard, dropping my voice lower. "She's covered in bite and claw marks, scratches down her back and legs, and there's bruises all over her hips…" I trailed off, unable to block out the images she showed me. "I looked through her memories, but there were things she wouldn't let me see."

"You think they…?" Ketch looked past me. "If I'd known…I wouldn't have pushed her away."

I took his face in my hand. "She knows you didn't mean to hurt her." I tried to smile but it fell. "I tried to call Lucifer too, but he's not answering."

"I don't think he'll want to answer anytime soon," Ketch muttered. "May I come in?" He gestured forward and I moved out of the door frame to let him inside the room. I closed the door gently behind him. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"We can let her sleep." I took his hand gently. "But I could use help with something."

"Oh?" He smirked. "And what would that be?"

I quietly pulled him past the beds and towards the bathroom. "Want to shower with me?"

Ketch smiled and shook his head as I pulled him into the bathroom and closed the door behind us. "I thought you said we should let her sleep."

"I can keep quiet if you can." I pushed him up against the door, kissing him softly. It had felt like a lifetime since I had. "Besides, I've wanted you since you shot that Djinn over my shoulder."

I kissed him again as he chuckled and pushed up the hem of his shirt. I complained softly when I had to break the kiss so he could pull it off over his head.

"I miss the suits," I grumbled as he threw it to the side.

"Why's that, love?" He smiled more, pulling me back against him to kiss me again.

"I have to stop touching you to get your clothes off," I said against his lips, my hands working at his jeans now. He growled low as my fingers brushed against him once I had them unzipped. "We'll have to stop if you can't keep quiet."

I was against the door, my arms held above my head before I could think. "We'll stop when I'm done with you." He hissed low against my ear before biting my jaw.

My heart fluttered against my chest as he continued to nip down along my neck, claiming every inch he could reach there. I bit my lip to keep them closed, but it didn't help to hide the whimper that matched the shiver that went through me. Ketch chuckled and pulled away from me. I opened my mouth to argue, but his lips found mine again briefly before he left me to turn the water on in the shower. I pulled my shirt over my head before he turned around again and was met with a disapproving look once he had.

"Love," He sighed, his voice low. "You know I like to watch you when I can't do it myself."

I rolled my eyes, eliciting another chuckle from him. It was always a fight for power with him, but I knew I enjoyed it. It was so much fun to make him feel weaker in these moments. And I knew that went both ways. He loved control just as much as I did.

I looked at him now, as he leaned against the sink, those strong arms crossed over his bare chest. Those slate grey eyes stared at me, undressing me even as I stood still partially clothes in front of him. But he stood still, waiting for me to continue.

I tossed my shirt at him, a light blush coming to my cheeks. He caught it easily. "Play along, love," Ketch instructed. "You know what I can do if you don't."

I bit my tongue, unable to hide the smile that wanted to spread across my face. He was impossible. But two could play this game, and he had just backed himself into a corner.

I unlatched my bra and slowly, teasingly, let the straps slide off my shoulders. I trailed my fingers lightly over my collar as the fabric fell away and to the ground. Those eyes wandered over me, lust turning them into grey storm clouds. He had always been easy to read in these moments. So easy to control.

I finished undressing, just as deliberately slow, and stepped bare into the shower, the water warm against my skin. Ketch pushed off the sink and made to join me, but I shook my head and closed the glass door behind me.

"Finish undressing and then sit and watch like a good boy." I gave the order with a smile.

He wanted to challenge me, I could see it thunder through those clouds, but he obeyed. He pulled the rest of his clothes off, revealing still-healing bruises and small cuts I hadn't seen and leaned back against the counter.

"I'll punish you if I find you looking away," I said slyly.

If he wanted to watch, then he could watch. I would make him wait for the rest. Make him want it. Make him beg for it.

And the best way to do that was to just take a shower. I took my time to wash myself gently, letting any soap cascade with the water down and over my body before washing it clean. Every once in a while looking at him to make sure he was still looking, still watching. He was very good at obeying orders when it benefited him. And he was being so very good. Good enough for a reward.

I ran my hands over my body, watching as his eyes followed wherever they played. A small shiver ran through me as I caught the hunger that lit up those storms. I bit my lip again as I watched as he adjusted himself as my fingers found sensitive spots. God, the desire in that stance alone made me weak. I bit back a moan as those eyes locked with mine. Maybe I couldn't tease him as long as I wanted to. Maybe I just needed him now.

But I wanted to last just a little longer, just enough to make him ache as much as I did. I could play a little longer. I ran my hands back up my sides as slowly as I could, dragging another soft moan from my lips as I supped my breasts. I let them drop from my hands, watching the water fall from them as they bounced a little. I bit my lip more as I squeezed and played with them, stifling another moan. My eyes shifted to Ketch again as he adjusted again. I smirked, teasing my nipples more.

I turned from him then, he'd seen enough of my front. I stepped back against the glass, enjoying the cool sensation against my heated skin, and ran my hands down from my breasts to my ankles. I bent over slowly until only my ass was pressed against the glass, then slowly trailed back up until I was once again standing tall. This was becoming dangerously fun. It was fun to have control here, like a lion tamer ever actually thinking they can control the lion.

I turned to face him again, one hand trailing down the front of my chest again while the other cupped my breast. Both hands teased and played. I pushed myself up against the back wall and closed my eyes as I continued to play with myself, the ache in my core growing.

He cleared his throat then, and I smiled. I removed my hands from myself and went back to the glass, pressing up to it.

"Arthur," I said softly, calling that lustful attention to my face again. "I need you."

"Oh? I'm allowed to move now, hm?" His voice was low, gravely.

I nodded and licked my lips. "Yes."

I pushed away from the glass as he made his way to me, the glass door sliding open and closed again so quickly. Then he was looking over me as if he was deciding what to do first before quickly pushing me up against the back wall. The stone was suddenly cold against my back, making me gasp and arch into him. He took advantage and bit my neck, my legs shaking underneath me.

His hands came between us just enough to play with my breasts, calluses rough against the soft, sensitive skin. I moaned again as he pushed me back flat against the wall, stealing the rest of the air from my lungs in a hungry kiss. I was sure, if I had still been human, I would've been left gasping for air. But I had sold my soul to a three-piece and I would never regret it.

His hands traveled down my sides and gripped my hips, pulling me closer against his. My knees tried to give out as I felt him grind against me, felt the need there between us. He kept me upright easily, taking my legs and wrapping them around his waist instead.

"Ar…Arthur. " I whispered as he hoisted me up and kissed my chest. "Stop teasing me, please."

He chuckled against my skin, and ran his fingers over my core, making me grip him tightly. I knew the lesson he wanted to teach me now. I was going to drown in the kisses he placed against my skin mixed with the heat of the water and his fingers teasing me.

"Arthur." I moaned, my fingers curling into his hair as he finally gave me what I wanted, sinking two fingers into me. A familiar heat began to pool in my gut as he teased. "Fuck…Arthur."

"You're supposed to be quiet." He taunted, nipping at my collar.

I closed my eyes and rested my head against the wall. "I…I don't think I can if you keep…Arthur." I gripped him harder, my head going forward to his my face against his neck. "Stop."

"We'll stop when I'm done with you." He growled.

I bit my lip again, trying to hold back the sounds that wanted to rip through me. But the heat in my gut was reaching its crescendo and I bit his shoulder to keep the moans muffled. My nails dug into his back as my mind went black and my body trembled from his fingers.

There was no moment to relax before every last inch of him was in me. I moaned into his shoulder. This wasn't fair. He shouldn't be able to make me feel this weak. This vulnerable. This…this fucking good.

"You don't get to tease me like that without punishment, love." He hissed into my ear, pushing back his own moan as he started to move his hips.

"Arthur…" It was the only thing I could say. The only clear thing in my mind. It was just him.

I leaned back again, my head resting against the wall as I searched for the surface that had once been cool against my flushed skin. My legs trembled as I tried to keep them around him. However, he didn't seem to have any problem with holding up my weight on his own, which was probably a good thing at the moment. I wasn't sure I could trust my legs.

It wasn't long before I was right on the edge again, this time with him. And when the bliss finally hit us, there was so much pleasure that crashed down with it. I could do nothing but shake as a wave of heat and calm washed over me, all strength and energy sucked from my toes and fingertips. It was all-consuming, and if I had been on my feet, I knew I would have collapsed.

My vision was still as blurry as my thoughts as the water was turned off and I was taken from it. I don't remember how I'd dried off or gotten dressed, because the next clear thing was lying beside him in bed, those silver eyes just as hungry as they had been moments ago before his lips took mine again.

I could stay like this forever. Stay right here in moments like this where he made my head spin and clouded all thoughts other than him and his body. Fucking Hell. His hands needed to pick a place to stay. They couldn't keep touching and teasing me just to work me up again. I was going to be a panting mess. God, he needed to stop. Fuck, fuck, fuck!

A knock at the door finally broke Arthur away from me, and I found myself whimpering at the loss of contact. It made me realize just how much I liked the fuzzy mess he turned my brain into. How much I wanted a normal life with him. A normal family with…

"Hey, kid. Come in." He said from the door.

I sat up on the bed and watched as Ally entered the room and looked around. "Do you have anything to eat?"

I cleared my throat before I could answer. "There's some pizza in the fridge."

How on earth was I supposed to think clearly after that?

Ally took to the mini fridge and immediately turned back with a mouthful of pizza. "Is my mom ok?" Her voice muffled.

"She was up all night," I said, standing from the bed and coming over to stand next to her. I played with her hair, messing it up gently. "Don't worry kid. We're just gonna let her rest today and we'll try to get home tomorrow."

"You can come out with me today if you'd like." Ketch offered kindly. "Just a standard clean-up."

"You're saying there might be more of those things?" Ally asked excitedly. "Fuck yes! Yesterday was so cool."

"Cool?" I said with a smile. "So you like hunting then?"

"Ya!" She gave me her own bright smile. "Will you be coming with us?"

"I'm going to stay here with you Mom, kid. She's going to need someone here when she wakes up." I said gently. "It was a hard night."

"Alex?" Ally's smile fell as she addressed me by name. "My dad won't answer my calls or texts. He's never not replied before. Did…" She trailed off, looking at the ground. "Did he leave for good?"

"Of course not, kid," I answered, pulling her into a tight hug. "He loves you a lot. He'll come back. There's just a lot that needs to be figured out before he can."

"I'm sure he's just off on holiday," Ketch added, smiling as he shrugged.

"Ally?" A soft voice came from the other bed.

I let the kid go as I turned and looked over to Elly. She sat up on the bed now. A half smile found my lips and I gently pushed Ally towards her mom. She was hesitant to walk over, but did slowly and then sat on the edge of the bed.

Elly reached out for her and pulled her into a hug. "I love you."

It almost felt like I was intruding on something precious. Like I didn't belong in this room anymore. But there was no other option on where to go.

"I love you too, Mom," Ally said, hugging Elly back.

"We're going to talk about this deal you made once we get home." Elly released her daughter, brushing her hair behind her ear. Elly looked at me and I knew I would need to be part of that conversation. Ally nodded. "But for now, thank you." Elly looked to Ketch next as he stood beside me. "I'm sorry, Ketch. I am."

"Don't mention it." He waved a hand in the air as if he was waving the words away. "Everything is good between us, pet."

Elly smiled lightly, she still looked so tired and ill. I walked over to the bed and took Ally's shoulder, gently taking her from the bed. "I think we should let her sleep some more." I directed her towards Ketch. "How about you two get going? Oh. Your motorcycle might be in a pound somewhere nearby. Maybe you can pick it up."

"My bike?" He said in a confused tone. "Why would my bike…"

"I…might have borrowed it," Elly admitted, laying back against the headboard, her eyes closing again. So very weak. So very mortal. "I'm sorry."

Ketch nodded and moved over to the bed then gently sat next to her. He leaned down and whispered something into her ear. Her eyes shot open again and she laughed. It was like the sunshine had hit us for the first time in weeks. It was no wonder Lucifer had given her that nickname. Ketch leaned towards her and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"I'll take good care of her." He assured before getting to his feet. "Alright, kid. Let's go."

"Does this mean I get to drive?" Ally asked, excited once again.

Ketch stopped and turned back to Elly, who shook her head. "You do not have a license," She said as sternly as she could. "You only have a permit."

"The police don't know that," Ketch said with a teasing grin. "Let's go." Ally laughed as they headed for the door, and I caught Elly rolling her eyes. "We're getting you a jacket though, because I want mine back," Ketch said as the door closed behind them.

"He'll take care of her," I said into the room.

Elly rested against the headboard again, breathing deeply. Her skin was so pale as it glistened with sweat. I went to the bed and sat next to her.

"How are you feeling today?" Elly shrugged, not looking at me. "We should rebandage you. And then find you something to eat. I'm sure I can find some eggs and toast."

"Ok." She whispered.

All of that fight from the night before seemed to be gone now. She didn't argue with me hardly at all, and I wasn't sure if I should be grateful for it or if it was worrisome. Though it was nice not to fight her tooth and nail.

I got the medical supplies from the night before as Elly slowly undressed and lay on her stomach. I pulled the bandages off gently, some of them bloody. I frowned as I cleaned them and she bit into the pillow she had clutched beneath her. I wished for something more I could do, but until the drug was completely out of her system, I couldn't heal her.

I cleaned each wound again and she cried out into the pillow. My hands froze as she hid her face in the pillow. Was there a way I could do this without hurting her more? I wasn't sure anymore.

"Elly?" I asked softly. She didn't move. "I could put you back to sleep if you'd like. I'm not sure what else I can do so you don't feel this." Elly shook her head and I continued to work on her.

When I had finished, I helped her redress, and sat back down with her, taking her hand in mine.

"I think I can help you more, Elly." I started. "But it's going to be asking a lot from you."

"What is it, Alex?" There were tear stains down her cheeks, but she had stopped crying now.

"I…can erase what happened to you." I offered. "I've only done it once before, but it would help."

"And what do you need from me to make that happen?" Her eyes focused on me, curious. A spark of hope sat low in them, though I knew I was about to crush that.

"You'd need to let me see everything. All of what happened. So that I can erase it all and not miss anything." I cleared my throat. "Other wise I could accidentally erase something important."

"No." Her voice was stern, eyes suddenly cold.

"Elly. I could make what they did to you go away. No one would blame you if I made you forget it all." I squeezed her hand gently as she closed her eyes again. "I can only make guesses, but I'm still pretty damn sure I knew what they did."

"What gave it away." Elly snapped at me, pulling her hand away from me. She sighed heavily and opened her eyes again. "I am not letting you see the horrible things they did to me."

"But…"

"I said no, Alex."

"Elly…"

"You want to watch them rape me?" She demanded, confirming everything I had thought in those simple, cold words. Her eyes met mine again, somehow an even mixture of fire and ice as they challenged me. "You want to watch them do that day in and day out for however long they decided I was useful? I don't even know how many there were or how often they did it. I was so fucked up on whatever shit they decided to give me that I can't even tell you who did what."

She breathed hard, her hands reaching up to tangle into her hair, and she started to rock back and forth. I wanted to reach for her, to comfort her, But I had no idea how to even begin.

"All I know is that it hurt and it still hurts. I might not know who did it, or how many times. But I can still remember every touch, each fingerprint, every disgusting bit of bodily fluid…I can feel all of it." She took a shaky breath. "Like it's been seared into my skin."

"Elly…" I whispered, trying not to break her more. What was I supposed to say to something so…horrific? "Elly, it's alright. It's over now. They're all dead."

"I screamed for him." She continued, ignoring my words. "I prayed for him. And he didn't come, Alex. He left me there."

"I…I'm sure that's not true." I scrambled to find the words. Anything to say. But I couldn't stop my heart from cracking as she said those words. "Maybe he just didn't hear you."

"Didn't hear me?" She looked up at me, her eyes dark blue oceans. "Fucking Hell, he didn't hear me!" One of her arms shot out and smacked against the headboard, a loud crack sounding through the room. "He ignored me, Alex! Ignored everything I said. Ignored my begging, my pleading, asking for him to kill me just to make it all stop!" She was hyperventilating now, and there was nothing I could do to help her.

"I'm sure he's just busy on a hunt or trying to take Hell over again." That last one was a lie, I would've heard about that by now. "I'm sure he would've come ASAP if he'd known."

"He let it happen!" She screamed. "He let them touch me, violate me! He let them, Alex. He was supposed to protect me!"

"Please, Elly. Let me erase them. Let me take it all away." I begged, reaching out for her again. I took the fist that was still against the headboard and gently pried her fingers open. "I can take it all away. I can make you happy again." I pulled her face up to look at me with my free hand. Her eyes were so red and puffy. She trembled. "Let me help you, please." It was a whisper now as I carefully pulled her to me and into a hug. "You won't have to hurt anymore."

"I don't want him to touch me ever again."

"I can fix that. Let me in."

"I don't want to look at him."

"Elly…let me see the memories."

"No."

I couldn't fight her anymore. She would never let anyone know. She would never let anyone else suffer with her. She would never forget.

I clutched her tightly to me. "We'll get through this together," I whispered. "I promise I'll fix it all. Everything was my fault anyway. So I'll fix it."

"I hate him. Bastard."

"No, you don't," I said, but she shook her head. "You love him, and I'm going to fix this."

"There's nothing you can do to fix it." She said into my chest.

"Please let me in." I pushed her back and looked into those dull sapphires. Even her eyes had given up their fight. If I pushed any further I was going to break her. "Let me see."

Elly shook her head again and lay down in my lap. "I just want to burn, Alex. I want it all to be burnt away. I want to hurt so badly I forget the original pain."

"Stop talking like that," I ordered in a whisper, my tears coming now.

"Call an ambulance, Alex."

Her words startled me. "What. Why? What did you do Elly?"

"When you were in the shower, I found them." Her words were so cold.

"Them?" I frantically looked around the room. "What on earth do you…" The rest of the words were stuck in my throat as I remembered the small amount of pills I had stuffed in my pocket. The bag that I had put on the table and hadn't gotten rid of yet. My eyes widened as I looked down at her pale face. She had taken them. "What the fuck were you thinking…"

I pushed her off of my lap carefully and started to dig through my things to find my phone. Where the hell was it?!

"Did you take them all?"

Elly didn't answer. And when I looked back at her, her pupils had blown and there was foam starting to come from her mouth. Fuck.

I finally stumbled across my phone and called 911, unable to keep my voice calm when someone finally answered.

"911, what's your emergency?" She sounded so nice. So calm.

"My friend just took a bunch of ecstasy!" I shouted into the receiver. "She's unconscious. I need medical aid immediately."

"Alright. Everything is going to be ok. Can you calm down for me?" I was beginning to hate how sweet her voice sounded. It made me sick. "Where are you?" The location came from my lips faster than I fully thought of it.

I ran back to Elly as the operator continued to ask me questions. I took up her wrist, finding her pulse weak and fluttery again. There wasn't another soul to save her this time. How the hell was a hospital going to do anything?

"Are you positive it was ecstasy she took?"

"Ya. I'm pretty fucking sure! Get someone here before I need a body bag!"
