Koushin: Konoha’s Dragonborn[Completed]

“Finally back!” Naruto shouted as we entered the village. The mission was long, longer than a month, but it was worth it. Yes, fucking worth to risk your life for, why? Because…

“Congratulations Team 7!” Tsunade said with a smile. “You once again found yourselves in a mission much harder than graded. Even after Koushin cleared the earlier trickery, you in the end had to battle against Akatsuki. That is why I grade this mission as S-Rank.

The pay is 2 million Ryo. You can share it as you wish.” Tsunade added and waved her hand. “Dismissed. Koushin, stay back with Kakashi.”

“Aw man, why can't I stay back?” Naruto whined as he left with Hinata.

“Koushin!”

“Yes, Hokage-sama.”

“Is there something you would like to explain?”

“Like what?” I asked with surprise.

“From the reports, I can deduce that you knew the member you led away was the previous owner of the sword you acquired. We learned from Zabuza, the captured missing-nin, that the sword was in Juzo’s hand before Mizugake battled with him and almost killed him.

But how did you know this?” Tsunade asked with a squint.

“I didn’t. I just asked because if he was a Kiri Shinobi,” I answered calmly. Seeing her non-believing eyes, I added. “If a Kiri Shinobi asked you if you wanted the Sword of the Thunder God, would you refuse them? Even if you were a missing-nin, you would want the national treasure of your village. Instead of the enemy holding it, wouldn’t it be better for you to hold it?”

“Hmm. It makes sense.” Tsunade muttered.

“I just offered to pull the enemy while Sensei was dealing with the other. I honestly didn’t know if my opponent used to own the blade. I don’t even know the name of the sword. I just said if he wanted the big ass sword we took from Zabuza and hoped he would fall for my taunt.” I said, as I passed the scroll to Tsunade. I didn’t need that stupid sword. I got it for extra reward.

[Speech increased to 72]

“Alright, fair enough.” Tsunade nodded. Inoichi already gathered enough evidence from Zabuza, that was how she knew the sword was owned by Juzo before Zabuza. But how could I know that? Of course I can’t. But is there for me to know for me to act the way I did?  “Your performance was exemplary once again. You were able to lure away an S-Class missing-nin and helped your Sensei to beat two of them.”

“It was Sensei who killed them. I was just a mere distraction.” I humbly added.

“Still. Standing against two Akatsuki members and leaving alive is worthy to brag about. Without you, Kakashi might have died.” Tsunade praised.

“True. Before you arrived, I was injured and had no way of winning.” Kakashi smiled.

“Thank you then.” I accepted their praises.

“So, normally this falls on Sensei to decide but you are almost half-captain and I wanted you to be here too.” Tsunade started, “Chunin Exams will start in a few weeks, and Kakashi wants you to participate. What do you think of it, vice-captain?”

“First of all, thank you for asking, and thank you Kakashi Sensei for trusting us.” I answered, “I believe we have a good chance to reach the finals. As a team, we have a great collaboration. And our expertise covers all grounds. With Hinata being the scout and Naruto as the distraction, no team should be able to threaten us.”

“Same as Kakashi said,” Tsunade smirked. “How about yourself?”

“I am more of the brain of the team and heavy damage,” I smirked as well.

“Show me your last Jutsu,” Tsunade asked.

I raised my hand and a swirling fire formed an ever-spinning ball of Chakra in my hand.

“Katon: Rasengan”

“Amazing!” Tsunade praised. “I didn’t believe it at first, but you actually did it!”

“It was thanks to the idea that I taught Hinata.” I humbly said, “She didn’t want to hurt people so I suggested that she add the water element to her taijutsu to soften her attacks while at the same time binding them. Then I was teaching Naruto how to form Rasengan. Then it dawned on me. What if I mixed both ideas?”

“This is A+ plus Jutsu,” Tsunade concluded. “For creating new Jutsu you can take two A-Rank Jutsu, anything you want or would you like to decide first? You can sign the Rashomon contract with this.”

“Before I sign the Rashomon, I first would like to discover my own summons. I shall visit you later for two Jutsu if it's okay.” I answered. I want to try summoning to be reverse summoned to my fated animals. After that, I will sign Rashomon.

“It is fine. You are dismissed then.”

“Rookie Genin Team Captains, step forward! Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenai, Genma, Iroha.” Tsunade ordered as she looked at the Jounin standing in front of her. ”Team number order, present your answers.”

“Team 3 led by Iroha, Genin Sai, Shin and Yuyu. I, Hyuga Iroha, recommend these three to take the Chunin Exam!”

“Team 5 led by Genma, Genin Shiro, Kafu and Kiku. I, Shiranui Genma, recommend these three to take the Chunin Exam!”

“Team 7 led by Kakashi, Genin Koushin, Uzumaki Naruto, Hyuga Hinata. I, Hatake Kakashi, recommend these three to take the Chunin Exam!”

“Team 8 led by Kurenai, Genin Haruno Sakura, Inuzuka Kiba, Aburame Shino. I, Yuhi Kurenaii, recommend these three to take the Chunin Exam!”

“Team 10 led by Asuma, Genin Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Chouji, Yamanaka Ino. I, Sarutobi Asuma, recommend these three to take the Chunin Exam!”

“All rookie teams recommended. This is rare!” Commented people in the background.

“Been years since something like this happened.”

“Hold on a second!” Iruka jumped into the conversation.

“What is wrong?” Asked Tsunade with her eyes squinted.

“Forgive my bluntness but those Genin were my students. I know what they are capable of. I admit they are pretty good, but it is too soon.” Iruka said with gusto.

“So?” Kakashi asked unimpressed. “Did you know Koushin battled against an S-Rank shinobi and saved my life twice?”

“What?!” The room descended into disbelief and silence. “It is impossible.”

“It is what it is,” Kakashi said with a little bit of irritation. “My team is more than enough to take this exam and every one of them. Not only Koushin. Naruto is excelling as a Seal Master. Hinata has learned something considered impossible even by her clan. I know you taught them in the academy but they are my students now!”

“I understand your sentiment, Iruka.” Tsunade slapped the table, “But this is my age now. Old monkey’s time ended when I kicked his ass.”

Asuma twitched when he heard her.

“Under me, the academy changed. All Genin know 10 elemental Jutsu. Chakra Control Exercise is much better. All of the 15 Genin can do Tree Walking, most can already do Water walking. 8 of the 15 are from noble clans of Konoha and have their clan techniques. And even those without them learned either Fuinjutsu or Healing Jutsu to graduate.

They are not an excuse for a Genin you use to graduate. All of them are fine Kunoichi and Shinobi of my village!”

“Hokage-sama!” Iruka wanted to say something but Tsunade stopped him.

“That is final. Team 3, 5, 7, 8, and 10 will participate in the exams!”

“Drop the kid!” Naruto shouted at the weird-looking Suna Shinobi.

“What if I don’t?” Asked the guy.

“You are a Suna Shinobi. Since you are walking freely, it means you are here for the Chunin Exams.” Naruto deducted.

“So what?” Kankuro asked.

“If you don’t drop the kid, I am permitted to attack you. We can even take your right to participate in the exam if you refuse to cooperate.”

“And who are you to decide that, smelly brat?” Kankuro smirked. If Naruto was a haughty Young Master, he could say he was a council member despite his age, and could banish his fat ass from the village, but since he was humble, he chose not to.

“You asked for it.” Naruto started to dash towards the guy, full of openings. Kankuro grinned evilly as he moved his fingers. His Chakra Threads attached to the running blonde’s feet and he pulled them. The blonde fell on his buttock.

“You are weak? Is this the standard of Konoha Genin?” He raised his hand evilly, wanting to punch the small kid in his hands. “I want to break this kid no—”

“You are miles away doing that in my presence,” Naruto commented as he placed the Kunai in his hand on the guy’s neck. The earlier blonde that fell to the ground vanished with a cloud of smoke.

“Clone?” Kankuro asked in shock.

“Drop the kid,” Naruto asked in anger, but in the next second, a Shuriken stabbed into the guy’s hand that was holding Konohamaru.

“ARGHH!”

Kankuro screamed in pain, as he looked to the source of the Shuriken. There stood a teen with blonde hair and purple eyes, smirking at him like he was a circus animal.

“Next one, will stab you in the neck,” Koushin said while playing with Shuriken in his hand. “Get lost!”

“You bastard!” Kankuro shouted in pain. “I hate your kind most! I hate you! I will destroy you!”

He reached out to his puppet fastened behind him. The girl near him tried to stop him, but he didn’t intend to. As he was about to unleash the puppet, a voice arrived to stop him.

“Kankuro, stop that.”

“You are an embarrassment to our village.” Said Gaara, standing upside down.

Koushin long felt his presence. He was watching from the shadows. Fine Shinobi, for sure, but his bloodlust was too thick.

Kankuro tried to apologize in terror, while Gaara ignored him and turned to Koushin to apologize.

“Fine, fine. You can go away. I will see you in the Chunin Exam.” He waved his hand lazily as he dismissed them.

“What is your name?” Asked Gaara, with his eyes burning with killing intent.

“Koushin.” He answered with a smile.

“Last name?” Asked the teen with the lamest tattoo.

“No last name. I don’t belong to a clan.” He answered once again.

With it, the trio left. Koushin turned to look in another direction as he flicked a middle finger. “You three too, get lost. I shall see you in the exams.”

“How?!” The sound trio looked in dread. They were far from them, watching the show. But the kid was able to see them. “He is not simple!”
