Chapter 7: Abandoned Little Female
Daisy had not only died and been reborn, but she had also transmigrated into the infamous Beasts World.
Should she consider herself....lucky?
The gears in her head were rapidly turning when a voice interrupted it.
"Female, are you ok?"
Daisy snapped out of her daze and looked at the man, who had an expressionless face, before responding with a pale face, "I am fine, thank you for your concern."
Back in her world, when she was in high school, she kept a small green garden snake as her pet.
Therefore, even though it sounded both magical and terrifying, she was not repulsed by the fact that the man could transform into a snake.
She had to accept it, there was no other choice.
After learning about his beast form, Leif saw her calm down instantly, showing no signs of agitation. He was inwardly surprised.
As a stray beast, he was used to his miserable existence, and the constant ridicule and mockery by other beastmen had made his heart numb.
Even the females who were drawn to his good looks were unwilling to approach him after discovering his true identity, and he had given up on finding a mate by proper means.
Leif expected the female he kidnapped to be disgusted and repulsed like the others, but she wasn't.
At first, he thought he wouldn't be bothered by her response, but when he saw that she did not reject him, his heart trembled with a strange feeling.
He was even ready to throw her down the waterfall in case she showed any fierce reaction, but it seems like he needn't do that.
Of course, he wouldn't kill a female; he was not that cold blooded. He just wanted to teach her a lesson and make her obedient. In a good mood, he went to prepare dinner.
Daisy didn't know that she had unconsciously escaped from a dangerous situation. She seamlessly looked around the cave and found it to be quite messy and disorganized with random things scattered around. As a person who loved cleanliness, it made her extremely uncomfortable.
"Leif?"
Leif was busy making dinner when Daisy cautiously called out to him.
When he turned his head, the bloodstains on his lips stood out against his skin, and his golden eyes shone in the hazy firelight. He looked like a bloodthirsty beast, ready to pounced on her at any moment.
Daisy was dazed; she had never seen someone with such beautiful yet dangerous looks.
Leif held a wooden spatula and asked, "do you need something, little female?" He hoped she wouldn't ask to leave this place, as he would be really upset if she decided to leave him.
"Is it ok if I clean your place?" Daisy inquired, her eyes scanning the place around her, her hands itching to move.
Leif was silent. He was overthinking for no reason; this female was indeed strange, and he liked it.
He had a small smile as he answered, "it's okay. Consider it as your home and do whatever you want."
Daisy was embarassed by his second statement but her hands moved as soon as she heard the answer she wanted. She started arranging the messy things, checking over them and placing them in order.
It seemed like Leif lived alone, as there weren't many things in the cave.
In addition, she found her things at the corner of the cave while cleaning. She was surprised, she thought she had lost it in the forest. She smiled softly as she looked over at the serious man; it seemed like he was much kinder than he appeared.
Leif was preoccupied with making sure the food would be okay when he heard the soft footsteps coming toward him. He had heard that females prefer men who can cook, so he hoped that she would be captivated by his food and never consider leaving him.
Daisy came next to him, chewing on a blue berry. "What are you cooking?" She saw the stone cauldron above the fire held a strange liquid with unknow ingredients floating in it. When she saw an animal head protruding from it, she stepped back, her face pale.
Maybe she was wrong about him.
Leif did not notice her small movement. He was too focused on cooking the meal. "This is Deer meat broth, its good for your health," he said.
Daisy pursed her lips in silence. It would be a miracle if she survived after eating the food he cooked.
Leif poured the broth in a small stone bowl and turned to face Daisy. He was warmly staring at her. "Here you go, " he said. "I made this especially for you." He had never cooked for a female before, and he was doing his best to hide his joy and excitement.
Daisy held the bowl of broth awkwardly, wondering if she could refuse to drink this weird-looking broth that looked like a dish from hell.
She forced an ugly smile. How could she refuse? She was afraid that if she did, she would end up in the cauldron. "Thank- thank you for the meal."
Leif stared as the female smiled and spoke fondly to him. His cheeks flushed red as he hummed coldly, trying to maintain his calm appearance.
"Drink it quickly when its warm." Leif encouraged her with a gentle smile. The female was too small and thin compared to the females in the Beasts kingdom, making her stand out like a sore thumb.
If he had not found her sooner, he was sure that she would have died in the forest.
Seeing his cold smile, Daisy she broke out in cold sweats. She wanted to cry, but had no tears. With a painful expression, she drank the broth while tightly closing her eyes.
The smell was not as bad as she had imagined.
Leif stared at the female. His dark pupils observed every minute detail of her face. The way her cherry like lips parted to reveal her pink tongue and white teeth inside, her rosy cheeks trembled with nervousness and her eyebrows raised with a hint of surprise.
He couldn't figure out how a weak female as her was allowed to move out of her tribe. In the beastland where females were scarce, even a weak little female was more valuable than gold.
So he couldn't understand why a female was abandoned in the forest.
'But it's okay. She will be mine from now on, she can never leave me.' He thought with a cold smile on his face.
"Little female, can I be your mate?"
