Chapter 4: 04. Training.
While her brother was being healed by the female with pointy ears, Luna had noticed the state her brother was in, and fearing that her father was in a similar state, she had asked the female knight where he was.
It was then she noticed a few other knights returning to the Baron's mansion.
The knights reported that the demonic beast had taken over the farmlands, but just before the beasts could turn to the capital, the Baron and his knights fought and sacrificed themselves to give everyone enough time to escape to the nearest town.
Many of the demonic beasts were hurt and ended up being forced back to the forest. However, some of the knights had been badly hurt as well while others were killed during the battle against the beasts, and this included the Baron.

Luna spent two hours with Aaron, explaining everything he wanted to know to him. The two discussed a lot about how the beasts had arrived and what had been done in the past few days while he had been asleep.
Aaron also learned a lot about himself and the female with the pointy ears who turned out to be an elf princess.
Looking at the sky outside, Luna noticed that she had spent a huge amount of time with her big brother, so she slowly got up from his bed. "You should rest, big brother. If you need anything just let me know, okay?"
"Okay, Luna."
"Good, I'll be heading out now."
Aaron nodded in understanding and thanked her. "Thanks for everything, Luna."
Luna giggled and clamped her fingers behind her, leaning forward a bit with an infectious smile on her face.
"Hehe… You're welcome. But you don't have to thank me, big brother, thank Princess Aurora and Diana for saving you. If they hadn't saved you, I wouldn't have my favorite brother in front of me right now."
Diana was the female knight who saved Aaron on time before the beast could cause any further damage to his body.
Aaron smiled and replied. "Okay Luna, I'll definitely thank them."
Luna nodded with a smile and excused herself from his bedroom. She was going to check on Princess Aurora who was currently healing the injured farmers and knights.
Even though it had been three days already, Aurora was still busy healing those who were injured.
This was because mages with healing attributes were extremely rare and being the only one in the barony right now made it difficult for her to heal everyone on her own.
Meanwhile, Aaron reassessed everything he had learned so far about himself, and his father's barony as well.
So far, he had learned that Damien's barony was actually called El Dorado and it had other smaller towns and villages within its territory.
He also found out why Princess Aurora was currently living in the mansion with them even though she was the elf princess of a separate kingdom.
It turned out that the elf Kingdom was completely overrun by demonic beasts a few months ago, but the elf princess and the elf refugees had nowhere else to go, so Aaron's father welcomed them into his barony when other nobles in the kingdom didn't.
Speaking of kingdoms, Aaron had also noticed that this world had its people dressing like they were in the medieval era. But despite knowing all this he was still unhappy with the limited information he knew about himself and the world at large.
Luna had explained a lot to him and he appreciated what she did for him in trying to keep him up to speed about the situation of the barony but he still wanted to know more because with what she had told him so far, it looked like the beasts would return very soon in the future, and he didn't want to remain seated while others worked hard to protect the barony, or rather, what remained of it.
With this thought in mind, Aaron decided to explore the mansion. He tried getting off the bed and on his feet, but he noticed his legs were a bit weak as he took his first steps out of the room.
His body was still adjusting to having such a weak body but Aaron knew it wasn't something to be worried about right now.
Unlike his previous body on Earth, Aaron knew his current body simply needed training and experience in direct combat for it to become as strong as his previous body.
'Although, training in this body would have to be different from the methods I'm used to,' Aaron uttered in his thoughts as he recalled the countless military training drills he went through in his past life.
'This is because there are no guns or explosives in this world, only swords.'
'It's a shame this body has never lifted a sword before.'
He knew he would have to begin sword training as soon as possible in preparation for the next beast tide.
He continued to explore the mansion, and he finally arrived at a hall which according to his memories, used to be lively but was now quiet.
He also noticed the absence of knights and servants in the mansion and he wondered what might have happened to them, but while he was doing this, Aaron noticed the portrait of Baron Damien and his family.
He could see that the portrait only had the image of Damien, Luna, and him. Staring at it, Aaron could feel more memories of his new body flooding through his mind.
Now, he knew why the previous Aaron never had any interest in his father's barony.
This was because both Aaron and Luna had been adopted by Damien, and based on his knowledge, it was rare for children like them to take over the territory of their family. So, he had seen no reason why he should be interested in what clearly didn't belong to him.
Leaving that memory aside for now, Aaron arrived at a room with an open door. He peered inside to see racks of wooden swords and training dummies.
'A training room?' Aaron muttered to himself as he stepped into the room.
He grabbed one of the wooden swords and took a look at it. It felt unfamiliar in his hand both in this life and in his previous one, but he was determined to change all that.
His grip on the sword felt awkward but he didn't let that stop him from doing what he had in mind.
Aaron approached a nearby target, one of the many training dummies in the room. Then he prepared himself and made his first strike, but his attack barely made his target wobble and this caused a frustrated look to appear on his face.
