Chapter 120: Chapter 120: A Future Without a Future Isn’t the Future I Want
"Amaterasu!"
In an instant, the pitch-black flames consumed every Kirigakure shinobi within view.
Screams echoed through the battlefield as the shinobi desperately tried to extinguish the unrelenting flames. No matter their efforts, nothing worked. Slowly, the cries of agony faded, leaving behind only silence.

The system's notifications echoed repeatedly in Uchiha Mirai's mind. The deaths of nearly a hundred Kirigakure shinobi had once again boosted his stats.

Even as he glanced at his stats, all exceeding two thousand, Mirai felt no qualitative breakthrough in his body. He realized that to surpass his current level, he needed even greater power.
After eliminating the Kirigakure shinobi, Mirai stepped over Kakashi's unconscious body and approached Rin.
Her massive chest wound caught his gaze. Summoning the power of his Mangekyō Sharingan, he whispered, "Takamagahara."
A mystical energy enveloped Rin's body. Her flesh began to mend rapidly, and the vitality that had faded surged back to life.
"Is this…the Pure Land?" Rin murmured in confusion as her eyes fluttered open.
Her gaze fell on Mirai, and disbelief flooded her expression. "Mirai? What are you doing here? Are you…"
Thwap!
Mirai lightly flicked her forehead and smiled gently. "Rin, I brought you back."
Tears welled up in Rin's eyes as she suddenly threw herself into his arms.
"It's over, Rin. Everything's fine now," Mirai reassured her softly.
"Mirai… I thought I'd never see you again…" Rin sobbed. "You've saved me again."
"It wasn't a big deal," Mirai said with a faint smile. "But don't cry so much. It's not like me being gone is the end of the world."
Rin looked up and declared firmly, "A future without Mirai isn't the future I want!"
She buried her face in his shoulder once more, eventually drifting into a peaceful sleep.
With Rin cradled in a princess carry, Mirai created a shadow clone to administer healing jutsu to Kakashi.
Moments later, Kakashi stirred awake.
"Mirai?!" Kakashi shot up, his face a mask of anguish. "This is all my fault… Rin, she…"
"Rin's fine," Mirai interrupted. "She's just sleeping. Let's head back to Konoha."
"Huh?" Kakashi blinked, stunned.
He rushed to Rin's side, seeing her steady breathing. Relief washed over his face as he grabbed Mirai's arm.
"You're amazing, Mirai! I don't know how, but… thank you."
Mirai calmly pulled his arm away, keeping his distance.
"Honestly, what's with Konoha shinobi and their bonding moments? I'm not here for that."
Manipulating his golden sand, Mirai lifted Rin and Kakashi and began their journey back to Konoha. Sensing a faint but familiar chakra in the distance, he muttered under his breath, "Obito, I gave you a chance. What happens next is up to you."
"Tsk… What a failure," a voice mused.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing," the voice responded slyly. "But Obito, it seems your two friends have been saved. What will you do now?"
Obito wiped the blood and tears from his Sharingan as he replied coldly, "Let's go back."
The voice sounded surprised. "You're not going back to Konoha? To see them?"
"Comrades? I don't need such things anymore."
The young Uchiha's voice was low and raspy, laced with bitterness.
"Madara was right. This world is full of disappointment, pain, and loneliness.
"Winners and losers. Geniuses and failures. From the moment we're born, we're bound by destiny, unable to escape."
He clenched his fists as his tone turned resolute. "But I will sever this world's chains of fate. I will create a world where everyone's dreams can come true."
"So you've finally come around," Madara said, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan glinted ominously. While Madara's plans had veered slightly off course, he was satisfied. After all, Obito had reached this critical juncture.
It didn't matter whether it was a "peaceful world" or a "dream world." As long as Obito executed the Moon's Eye Plan, everything would proceed as planned.
"Madara, tell me how to create this dream world."
"Then look into my Sharingan," Madara said.
In a genjutsu realm, Obito learned the secrets of Madara's plan—Ten Tails, Rinnegan, and the Gedo Statue.
As the knowledge flooded his mind, Madara's will took physical form, merging with White Zetsu to create Black Zetsu.
"I've left behind enough for you to use. Whatever you need, White Zetsu will gather."
Madara's voice turned faint as he severed the roots binding him to the Gedo Statue. His life force rapidly ebbed away.
"From this day forward, you are the savior of this world."
As Madara's lifeless body slumped, Obito felt a surge of conviction. Everyone else was just a pawn on his board, and now, he held the power to control it all.
How intoxicating.
"Let's go," Obito ordered.
"To where?"
"Amegakure."
