Chapter 325: Chapter 325: This is Simply Killing Three Birds With One Stone!

Mitokado Homura observed the Sand Village's desperation and commented, "The Sand Village must be anxious. Puppets have always been their hallmark. Now, faced with Shinki's dimensionality-reduction attack, many puppet ninjas are bound to question their craft. That level of doubt is devastating for Sunagakure's morale and future."

He continued, "Chiyo's willingness to strike a deal with Shinki isn't surprising. It's a desperate but logical move. Though it deviates slightly from our original expectations, getting our hands on their puppetry techniques would undoubtedly benefit Konoha."

Hiruzen, the Third Hokage, finally spoke, setting his pipe aside. "Do you think Shinki will share those techniques with the village?"

Homura nearly choked on his tea. Seriously, Hiruzen? Did you already forget how Shinki handled the puppet demonstration?

The Third Hokage realized his misstep when he noticed Homura's astonished expression. "Ah, right. Sharing freely isn't exactly his style."

Homura sighed, taking the opportunity to steer the Hokage back to reason. "Hiruzen, Shinki isn't one to hide things—especially if there's a chance to make things more efficient and profitable. He dislikes unnecessary trouble. If he acquires Sunagakure's puppetry knowledge, he'll likely monetize it rather than hoard it."

Hiruzen frowned but listened intently. Homura elaborated, "For Shinki, the Sand Village's puppetry holds little value personally, but he knows its worth to others. By selling it through the mission department, he can generate wealth for himself and the village simultaneously."

A Win-Win Opportunity

The Third Hokage mulled over this reasoning. "So, you're saying Shinki will let the village handle the details, collect a portion of the profits, and leave the hard work to others?"

Homura nodded. "Exactly. It's efficient, and he avoids the hassle. The village, in turn, gains the commission fees and contributions from ninjas who buy into the techniques. It's a perfect solution."

Hiruzen's mood brightened as he realized the potential. "Not only do we gain Sunagakure's techniques, but we also strengthen our village economically while reducing our ninjas' financial burden. It's a win-win."

Homura smiled. "And it doesn't stop there. Think of the employment opportunities it creates—scroll transcription, puppet material production, mining, and refining resources. These jobs support families and boost the village economy."

Hiruzen's face lit up. "You're right! With proper management, the village will benefit even more than Shinki himself. This deal truly kills three birds with one stone."

A Change in Perspective

As realization dawned, the Third Hokage turned to Homura, gratitude in his eyes. "Menyan, your insights are invaluable. Without you, I might've overlooked this entirely."

Homura waved a hand dismissively. "It's not about my insights, Hiruzen. You were just too angry to see the broader picture. Once you calmed down, I knew you'd reach the same conclusion."

Hiruzen chuckled, his frustration dissipating. "You're right. Instead of being upset, I should be supporting Chiyo and Shinki's deal. As long as it benefits Konoha, I'll set aside my pride."

Homura wiped his brow, relieved. Persuading the Third Hokage had been no easy task, but it was worth the effort.

The Treaty Is Signed

The next day, Konoha's representatives and Chiyo gathered in the conference hall to finalize the peace treaty. The discussions proceeded smoothly, as both sides had already reached a consensus.

When the final documents were brought out, Hiruzen and Chiyo signed and stamped them with the Hokage's and Kazekage's official seals, marking the formal end of the three-year war between Konoha and Sunagakure.

Though the Third Kazekage wasn't present, his decision to entrust the seal to Chiyo legitimized the process. With the treaty in place, the orders were sent to both sides' frontlines.

Konoha's troops would withdraw from the Land of Wind, and Sunagakure would reclaim its border security responsibilities.

Shinki's Plans

Back at the Senju estate, Shinki relaxed with a cup of tea as Tsunade walked in. She noticed his satisfied grin and raised an eyebrow. "I take it everything went well?"

Shinki smirked. "Better than expected. The treaty is signed, and Chiyo's ready to deal. She's desperate to save face back in her village."

Tsunade sat across from him. "So, what's your plan? Are you really going to take her offer?"

"Of course," Shinki said, leaning back. "But not until the dust settles. I'll let the mission department handle distributing the puppetry techniques and resources. It's less hassle for me, and it boosts the village's economy."

Tsunade nodded, impressed. "That's smart. Everyone benefits, and you don't have to micromanage. What will you do with your cut?"

Shinki grinned mischievously. "Maybe invest in better ANBU equipment—or a celebratory dinner for someone special."

Tsunade rolled her eyes but smiled. "Just don't get too comfortable. You still have a village to protect."

Shinki raised his cup. "Always, Tsunade. Always."
