Chapter 332: Chapter 332: A Slap That Made Me Doubt My Life

"Don't ask me if Kushina-sama will be okay. You should be asking if Nawaki will be okay," Nara Shikaku remarked dryly, giving Namikaze Minato a subtle hint.

Minato blinked in confusion.

"Sama? Kushina? Isn't she just a kid? Why the honorifics?"

Before Minato could process the comment, he saw Kushina's long red hair start to float. A golden chakra aura enveloped her body, and behind her, a golden tail formed, which morphed into a massive palm that swiftly slammed down on Nawaki, who had been charging confidently.

Nawaki's Reality Check

"Boom!"

The golden palm sent Nawaki crashing into the ground, creating a large, human-shaped crater. He lay there, dazed, his eyes staring blankly at the sky.

Why? Why did this happen?

Nawaki's mind spiraled. Am I too weak? Did I waste all my training? How did this happen? The only coherent thought left in his mind was, I was beaten by Kushina.

Minato's jaw dropped. "What… what is this?!"

Nara Shikaku, unfazed, shrugged. "And now you understand why I call her 'sama.' My father insisted on it. After all, she's no ordinary kunoichi."

Kushina's New Strength

Minato stared at Shikaku, still trying to piece things together.

"When did this happen?"

Shikaku sighed, motioning to the surrounding area. "See all this? It used to be Kushina's training ground. She and Lady Tsunade had a sparring match here. Things got so intense that Kushina decided to buy the surrounding land and rebuild it into a villa with gardens and water features. All because she wrecked it during training."

Minato was speechless.

"My father says Kushina is what's called a 'perfect jinchuriki.' Shinki-sensei says she's the first of her kind in the ninja world. She can perfectly control the Nine-Tails' chakra. She's already one of the strongest in the village, even if she lacks experience. When she grows more, even the Hokage might need to tread carefully around her."

Nawaki's Despair

Meanwhile, Kushina, looking proud of her display, strolled over to dig Nawaki out of the crater.

"Still want to teach me a lesson?" she teased, hands on her hips.

Nawaki groaned but said nothing. He climbed out of the pit, his face a mixture of disbelief and despair. Without a word, he trudged away, ignoring the pain in his body.

"Uh… did I overdo it?" Kushina muttered, realizing Nawaki was genuinely upset.

Minato gave her a sympathetic look but said nothing, quietly following Nawaki to check on him.

Kushina, now panicking, decided to find someone who could help. I messed up big time!

A Visit to Shinki

Kushina sprinted to the ANBU base, bursting into Shinki's office.

"Shinki! I got into trouble! Big trouble!" she exclaimed.

Pakura, seated nearby as Shinki's secretary, raised an eyebrow. "What did you do this time?"

Shinki put down his paperwork, regarding Kushina with mild curiosity.

"Who did you hit?" he asked knowingly.

Kushina scratched the back of her head, laughing nervously. "It was Nawaki-san… but I swear I didn't mean to! I just pushed him a little, and he fell into a crater. Now he looks… really upset."

Pakura shook her head in disbelief. "Poor Nawaki. The guy just got back, and this is how you welcome him?"

Reassurances from Shinki

Shinki waved Kushina over and motioned for her to sit down. "Don't worry about it. Nawaki's tougher than he looks. He'll bounce back. Minato's with him—it'll be fine."

Kushina still looked anxious. "Are you sure? I didn't mean to hurt him. I just wanted to tease him like he always teases me!"

"I know," Shinki said with a chuckle, ruffling her hair. "Nawaki's resilient—he's like an indestructible cockroach. He's not going to let one defeat keep him down."

Kushina blinked. "A… cockroach? Isn't that kind of mean?"

Pakura rolled her eyes. "Seriously, Shinki? That's how you describe your own nephew?"

"It's true," Shinki replied with a grin. "He's been knocked down plenty of times while training with Minato, and he always gets back up. Trust me, he'll recover from this, too."

Kushina finally relaxed, smiling faintly. "Okay. I'll trust you, Shinki."

Nawaki's Reflection

Meanwhile, Nawaki sat by the river, staring into the calm waters. His usually bright demeanor was gone, replaced by a somber expression.

How did this happen? Kushina, of all people, defeated me so easily.

His reflection wavered on the surface of the water, mirroring his shaken confidence.

Even Minato, trying to console him, felt the weight of Nawaki's despair. This defeat hit him harder than I expected.

But deep down, Minato knew this was just another hurdle for Nawaki to overcome. If anyone could recover from such a blow, it was him.
