One Piece: Please Call Me Godfather!

Chapter 4: Reinhardt and The Wolf!

Reinhardt's attitude, without any doubt, was extremely gentle, with a warm, spring-like smile always on his face. Combined with his handsome appearance, it was proper to say that even if someone tried to nitpick, they wouldn't find a single point to fault.

However, at this moment, Wolf felt nothing could compare to his fury.

This little pretty boy is so arrogant!!

He clenched the large axe tightly, veins bulging on his forehead as he roared in anger, "You little brat—"

"Don't waste your breath on me again. Personally, I find doing pointless things quite tiresome."

Reinhardt waved his hand lightly, "Today is my father's memorial, go home now. I'll come to kill you tomorrow."

"Haha, little brat, you've got guts!"

Wolf laughed furiously, "I haven't been this angry in a long time!!!"

Kill me?

You, little devil?

"I'm curious to see how you plan to kill me!!!"

Wolf roared, "Today, while your demonic old man is being buried, I think he's probably feeling a bit lonely. I'll send you to join him!!!"

With a furious roar, Wolf stomped the ground, cracking the stones beneath his feet as cannon-like blasts shot out.

The thugs behind him also shouted as they charged forward.

"Protect the leader!!!"

The members of Ulysses shouted loudly and immediately closed in to form a barrier in front of Reinhardt.

"I already said, I hate meaningless things," Reinhardt gently shook his head.

His brows furrowed slightly, and his gaze sharpened.

In the next moment, an invisible aura emanated from him like a storm, instantly sweeping away the Black Claw Gang members ahead.

"Ugh!!!"

As Wolf charged forward, his body suddenly swayed. His eyes rolled back, and his massive frame crashed to the ground like a falling mountain, repeatedly slamming into the earth.

What was even more unbearable was that behind him, the thugs, each with their eyes rolled back, collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious.

In an instant, the once fierce Black Claw Gang was completely wiped out!

"This—"

Looking at this shocking scene, the members of the Ulysses family exchanged glances with one another.

"Leader—" Jackson looked at Reinhardt in astonishment, his intuition telling him that Reinhardt was the one behind this.

Reinhardt nodded with satisfaction.

This was the achievement he had gained after mastering the "Stepping on the Thorny Path" technique—Haoushoku Haki, a power that only one in a million could possess!

"Don't make me stop! If you want to fight, I'll join you—huh?"

Almost at the same time, a loud roar came from around the corner. It started off with an imposing presence, but soon turned into an uncertain and strange cry.

Reinhardt tilted his head and saw a navy unit rushing out from the corner.

"It's Colonel Francklin from the Loguetown Navy base!"

Jackson softly reminded him in his ear, "Colonel of the headquarters!"

Reinhardt nodded in understanding. The colonel of the headquarters was on a completely different level from other unit colonels.

Moreover, he was stationed at the Loguetown Navy base, the gateway to the Grand Line!

It was no exaggeration to say that this Navy colonel with a long beard likely had the strength of a Navy admiral, making him the strongest person in Loguetown.

"Well, damn it,"

The Navy colonel Francklin scratched his head, looking at the mess, "What's going on here?"

He was somewhat confused by the situation. How did the once powerful Black Claw Gang end up lying all over the ground?

Reinhardt waved his hand, using invisible force to push all the thugs before him aside. He looked at Francklin, "Colonel, you arrived just in time,"

He pointed at the fallen Black Claw gang members, "Could you kindly take care of this trash for me?"

"Huh?"

Francklin glanced at Reinhardt several times, sneering coldly, "Kid, are you talking to me?"

This brat must be the new leader of the Ulysses family, right? I think his name is Reinhardt?

Could it be that these Black Claw bastards were all knocked down by him?

Francklin thought quickly in his mind, but his face remained cold as he spoke, "I now suspect you're involved in a murder case. Come with me, we're going back to the base for an investigation."

Reinhardt smiled, "It seems Colonel is quite fond of jokes, but I'm tired today. Please feel free to handle it. Uncle Jackson, the rest is up to you."

With that, Reinhardt didn't wait for Francklin's response and got into the carriage.

Such an arrogant brat!

Francklin raised an eyebrow, about to speak, but then heard Jackson say, "Colonel, who in Loguetown doesn't know that our Ulysses family is well-known for following the law? We are the wealthiest tax-paying family in town. A portion of the naval base funds also come from us. Please, there's no need for such jokes."

"If you're still dissatisfied, feel free to discuss it with our lawyers. Otherwise, we'll take our leave."

Afterward, under the watchful eyes of the navy, the Ulysses family slowly departed.

"How can he be so arrogant!"

Francklin smirked, "Loguetown is about to get lively."

"Colonel," one of Francklin's officers asked, "Are we just letting them go?"

"No need,"

Francklin glanced at the fallen Black Claw members and said indifferently, "As long as they don't cause any trouble, let them fight among themselves. However, send a telegram to the headquarters. I want the last few years' information on that kid."

"Now, let's go back and play cards."

The navy also withdrew.

In the heavy rain, only the fallen Black Claw remained.

*Creak, creak, creak—*

Amid the noise of the rain, an odd sound continued to echo.

Bloodaxe Wolf, kneeling on the ground, trembled uncontrollably, his teeth chattering and grinding incessantly.

The rhythmic sound of chattering teeth in the rain turned into a tune of fear.

The Ulysses family's headquarters was located in a manor on the outskirts of Loguetown. After Reinhardt returned to the manor, a prepared maid was waiting to help him dry his body and hair and change into a clean set of clothes.

After tidying himself up, Reinhardt looked at Jackson.

"So, Uncle Jackson, how did Father and my elder brother actually die?"

Reinhardt sat in front of a mirror, a white cloth wrapped around his neck, as a beautiful woman worked on his hair.

Jackson recalled, "It was a month ago. Leon went to Diya Island to transport a shipment of goods, but he never sent word. When they were found, everyone on the ship was dead."

"Godfather was furious and believed there was a traitor in the family because that particular shipment route was highly confidential, but despite all efforts, nothing was found. Afterward, Father became so angry that he suffered a heart attack and never recovered."

"At the same time, the family suddenly descended into chaos. All kinds of affairs were disrupted by enemy forces. The Black Claw took advantage of the situation and started looting. In his fury, Father had another heart attack, and he ultimately couldn't wake up."

"I'm sorry, Rein," Jackson said apologetically, "I couldn't protect Leon and Father well enough."

Reinhardt replied, "No need to apologize, Uncle Jackson. You did what you were supposed to do. Leave the rest to me."

"Master, do you think it's satisfactory?"

At this moment, the woman who had been silent while fixing Reinhardt's hair spoke up.

Reinhardt looked up at the mirror.

His originally messy long hair had been neatly trimmed on the sides and styled into a back-comb at the back, transforming his entire appearance, suddenly giving him a different aura.

"I'm very satisfied, Miss Anna, thank you. Now you may go and collect your payment."

"Thank you, sir," the woman named Anna said, concealing her excited expression. After collecting her tools, she quietly withdrew from the room.

"Uncle Jackson, let's go. It's been a while since we've had a meal together."

Reinhardt stood up, his black suit highlighting his upright, extraordinary figure.

"Alright, by the way, Rein, some people won't be able to sleep tonight, will they?"

"Of course. But we should get a good rest; tomorrow will be a busy day."
