Pokemon : I Am A Breeder/Champion

Chapter 10: 10. Now That I Have Money, Can I Raise PokéMon?

Luna directly placed Pichu on a device and then started talking to it seriously.

"Pichu, you're already a mature Pokémon."

"Learn to help share the responsibilities of the orphanage."

"The electricity bill is very expensive."

"Here are some batteries."

"This device can store electricity from Electric-type Pokémon."

"I picked it up from the scrapyard after much effort."

"So, Pichu, come on, try using Discharge!"

Listening to Luna's serious words, Pichu's eyes looked a little blank.

I just got here, what does it mean to be mature?

I was only born recently.

Still a baby.

Am I being exploited already?

Did I fall into a den of thieves?

I just accepted being caught, but now it seems I was too optimistic.

Should I try to escape now?

Crying, Pichu could already imagine how sad the days ahead would be.

"Piii...!"

...

Under Luna's urging, Pichu started using Discharge.

It kept going until it was completely drained, leaving the little Pokémon looking shriveled.

"Pii... I can't anymore."

Looking at the machine in front of it, Pichu began to resist.

Luna, however, was ecstatic.

"Well done!"

"These batteries are fully charged!"

Luna was thrilled, as the batteries clearly showed they were full.

She was overjoyed.

Just as she was basking in her success, Evan came over.

Seeing a group of little Pokémon gathered around, Evan walked over, looking puzzled.

"What are you doing?"

Hearing Evan's voice, Pichu felt as if its savior had arrived.

It quickly ran over and hopped onto Evan's shoulder without saying a word.

"Pichu pi!"

"Pichu!"

"Chuu, chuu!"

"Pichupi!"

...

It began speaking rapidly in a language no one could understand.

But Evan understood.

After all, Evan had Psychic abilities and could interpret what Pichu meant.

"Hmm?"

"Generating electricity?"

"That's a pretty good idea."

"From now on, some of the batteries at home will be left for you."

At these words, Pichu was stunned.

It had come to complain.

But how did it end up like this?

"Pii?"

It was a bit dazed.

Is this really its trainer?

Someone who treats it like this?

Evan couldn't help but smirk slightly at Pichu's reaction.

"This is your home from now on."

"And as for the electricity, it's all to help with your food."

"So what's wrong with helping out by covering the bill?"

"Alright."

"Take a break now."

"I'll make some Pokéblocks soon."

"I'll give you your favorite ones then."

After saying this, Evan gently rubbed Pichu's head.

"Pichuu..."

Ah~~ I get it now.

It finally realized its trainer was a totally shameless person.

This was definitely like entering a den of thieves.

After calming down the little guy, Evan took some tools and left, also carrying the fully charged batteries with him.

As soon as the other kids heard what Evan said, they immediately followed him one by one.

Evan put Pichu aside and began directing the group of little ones to help.

The juice, which had been left to settle, was ready.

He emptied the Jar, scooped out the contents, and placed them in a large basin nearby.

Evan then started adding various ingredients in specific proportions.

A faint fragrance began to fill the room.

Pichu's eyes lit up when it smelled the aroma.

"Pichu~~!" It chirped eagerly.

I want to eat it.

What is he making?

At that moment, Luna secretly handed Pichu a fruit.

Seeing the fruit, Pichu, who had still been a little annoyed with Luna, immediately smiled.

This is great, I won't hold a grudge against you anymore.

"Pichu! ♥ (′???`)"

...

Meanwhile, Evan was still busy.

After pouring in all the ingredients and making sure everything was right, Evan started stirring the mixture.

It didn't take long for the large basin of raw materials to turn into a thick paste.

The color changed too.

It turned into the color of curry.

Looking at the mixture, Evan couldn't help but mumble to himself.

This looks a bit like something my third brother would eat.

But there were still a few more steps to go.

Once finished, the color would look much better.

Thinking of this, Evan didn't hesitate and said to the group of little ones, "Alright, you guys put this stuff into the molds."

"I'll take care of the oven."

"Just put it in, bake it, then steam it."

Molding was easy, and the little ones could handle it.

In fact, it didn't matter if the molds weren't perfect. It was already a semi-finished product.

All it needed was baking and steaming, and it would be ready to eat.

After hearing Evan's instructions, the little ones became busy.

They took the cleaned molds and began filling them with the mixture.

Evan, meanwhile, prepared the oven.

After checking everything to ensure there were no issues, he set the temperature and time.

"Bake at 50 degrees for 5 minutes to evaporate the water."

After setting this, Evan moved on to fix the steam oven.

He added water and started preheating it.

By the time he finished, the little ones had finished their task as well.

"Tiger," Evan called.

"Bring me the stuff."

Tiger, the oldest kid in the orphanage, nodded in response. He was also the older brother of the little ones and was very strong, having matured early.

Hearing Evan's shout, Tiger quickly moved the molds filled with the mixture and placed them in the oven with Evan's help.

The other little ones also pitched in, bringing everything over.

Once the oven was filled, Evan started it.

He then told one of the younger girls to keep an eye on the oven and let him know when it stopped.

After that, Evan began preparing other energy cubes.

As Evan bustled around, a small but energetic boy, curious, asked, "Brother Evan, how much money can you make from all these energy cubes?"

Hearing this, Evan immediately rolled his eyes at him.

"You only think about money."

"Half of these will be kept for ourselves, and the rest will go to the Patent Office for registration."

"We're not making money from selling the cubes."

"The real money will come from selling the patents."

"Understand?"

Evan patted the boy's head, mockingly scolding him.

The little guy let out a long "Ooh" as he processed Evan's explanation.

His eyes rolled mischievously, and then he asked, "Brother Evan, can we become Trainers in the future?"

"You said selling patents makes a lot of money. So can we raise Pokémon someday?"

As soon as those words were spoken, all the little ones turned their attention to Evan, waiting for his answer.
