Isla's shocked expression didn't stir anything in Evan.
He understood her astonishment—it was only natural.
Becoming a Master Breeder was an arduous journey, requiring exceptional skill and dedication.
Unfortunately, Evan himself was still missing the official certification.
Shaking his head, he couldn't help but explain.
"Being a Master Breeder is still one step away for me," he said.
"But it's not entirely wrong to call me one. After all, anyone who can make top-tier energy cubes can be considered a Master Breeder. There's no real issue with that, right?"
"Amazing," Isla said, her voice full of admiration.
"Brother Evan is so strong."
Her respect for him grew instantly. She hadn't expected him to be this capable.
Curious, she began bombarding Evan with questions about breeders and their work—topics she didn't understand but found fascinating.
Evan, in turn, didn't hold back. He patiently answered each question, sharing his knowledge without reservation.
When mealtime arrived, he paused his work, and the two went to eat together.
The children at the orphanage warmly welcomed Isla's arrival.
Many of them recognized her, and she quickly fit in, chatting and playing with ease.
After the meal, Evan returned to his work, making energy cubes. With Isla's assistance, his speed improved significantly.
The next day, two new helpers arrived—Daniel and Michael.
Both were competent, holding Junior Breeder Certificates and a solid understanding of the work.
While they were skilled and pleasant, neither of them was Evan's type.
Their arrival was a relief, though. They stayed with some of the orphanage caretakers, sparing Evan the need to arrange accommodations.
With three assistants now, Evan's production of energy cubes sped up considerably, leaving the children free to enjoy playing with the Pokémon instead of helping.
Once all the energy cubes were prepared and packed, Evan heaved a sigh of relief. He had even started working on a batch of advanced energy cubes, using leftover materials.
These were meant for his own Pokémon—Pikachu, Pidgeot, and Charmander.
His plan was to have them use advanced energy cubes temporarily. Once they became stronger, he'd switch to custom-made cubes tailored to their specific needs.
After finishing two more batches, Evan decided to call it a day.
He turned to his assistants and said, "Alright, that's enough for today. Head outside and feed the Pokémon. None of the Pokémon here belong to anyone yet, so the workload isn't too heavy. Most of the time, your job will just involve helping with energy cubes. If you have Pokémon of your own, feel free to release them here to interact."
"Just treat it like your own home," Evan said with a warm smile.
Hearing his words, Daniel, Michael, and Isla nodded immediately.
It was their first day working here, and they had already learned so much.
They were thrilled with their new jobs.
This place was perfect for gaining experience.
If they continued learning under Evan, they could eventually become senior breeders, save up, and open their own small breeding houses.
Determined to work hard, they silently vowed to make the most of this opportunity.
Evan's skills as a breeder were truly exceptional, and they couldn't ask for a better mentor.
After their brief introduction to the work, the assistants got busy around the breeding house.
For now, their tasks were simple—feeding the wild Pokémon and cleaning up.
There wasn't much to do yet, but when business picked up, things would undoubtedly become busier.
Meanwhile, Evan focused on organizing the energy cubes he'd made.
The special cubes for Pikachu and Pidgeot were stored in designated rooms, ensuring their freshness and quality.
Once everything was in place, Evan took out his phone and sent messages to Sophia and Violet, letting them know the energy cubes they ordered were ready for pickup.
Sophia was the first to reply.
A moment of surprise later, she rushed over as fast as she could.
Being nearby, she arrived in no time.
Riding her Garchomp, she landed gracefully in front of the breeding house.
"Evan, have you finished my energy cubes?" Sophia asked eagerly.
Evan, still busy at the workstation, glanced up and nodded.
"I finished them two days ago," he replied, putting down the spoon he was using.
Then, he called out, "Isla, Daniel, come with me. Let's get those energy cubes for her."
Turning back to Sophia, he added, "Sophia, this is Isla, Daniel, and Michael—my new assistants. They've been helping out here."
Sophia gave them a friendly wave. "Nice to meet you all."
The assistants responded quickly and politely, slightly nervous to meet one of Evan's customers.
Without wasting any time, Daniel and Isla followed Evan to retrieve the energy cubes.
"Let's head to the warehouse and bring out all the energy cubes," Evan instructed.
The group got to work, pulling out three boxes of energy cubes.
Evan then asked them to continue retrieving the rest, as Violet would be arriving shortly.
Turning to Sophia, he began explaining the details of the cubes.
"I've categorized these energy cubes," he said.
"Each box is meant for one meal—three boxes per day. If Garchomp consumes these regularly for a month, you'll notice some of its attributes becoming stronger. You already know which attributes will improve, so I won't go into details."
Evan opened one of the boxes, revealing neatly packed lavender energy cubes inside.
The meticulous arrangement and quality were evident.
Sophia's eyes lit up with excitement as she looked at the cubes, and even Garchomp seemed unable to hide its anticipation.
The Pokémon's eyes sparkled with a look of Covet, clearly eager to try them out.
Noticing Garchomp's behavior, Sophia frowned and scolded it lightly.
"Be polite," she said firmly.
"You'll eat when we get home."
She then turned to Evan, smiling warmly.
"Thank you so much, Senior Evan," she said gratefully.
"I'll arrange for a car to transport these back. Hehe."
As she prepared to leave, something occurred to her.
"Oh, by the way, Senior Evan," she added, her tone shifting to one of slight embarrassment.
"Did you also customize the energy cubes for Absol? I completely forgot to mention it earlier."
Sophia glanced at her Poké Ball with an apologetic expression.
It was clear she had overlooked her Absol while focusing on Garchomp.
Evan gave her a reassuring nod.
"Leave it to me," he said.
"You can pick up Absol's energy cubes the day after tomorrow. The only issue is that I'm out of some materials. I'll need to restock before I can finish them."
Sophia immediately perked up at his mention of materials.
"Materials? I have plenty!" she exclaimed.
"Just let me know what you're missing, Senior Evan. I'll have it delivered right away."
She was eager to help, clearly wanting to make up for her earlier oversight.
