Pokemon Journeys (My Version)

Mew and her friend continue to travel to Goldenrod City, and soon make their way through the thick dark forests where their next adventure begins.

Suddenly Pikachu spots something.

"You see something out there, Pikachu?" Mew asks.

Misty soon spots something, "Hey, guys, look at that."

The group looks in the tree to see a birdhouse.

"I bet that's where flying Pokémon go to roost," Misty says.

"Yeah. I wonder what kind," Mew replies

"It's hard to say for sure just by looking. It may be too big for a small Pidgeotto, and too small for a big Pidgey, but... on the other hand, maybe the reverse could be true," Brock says.

Soon, a large bird lands in front of the birdhouse. It's an avian Pokémon that resembles an owl. It has light brown plumage with a darker brown pattern of triangles on its chest. Its fan-like tail is the same dark brown, while its wings are a slightly lighter shade of brown with light brown undersides. It has red eyes with black rings around them and a second, cream-colored ring around the first. Above its eyes are bushy, cream-colored feather "horns" that resemble large eyebrows. Its small beak and talons are pinkish, and its feet are cream-colored with three toes facing forward and one backward.

"Hey! There's one now!" Tomo says.

Brock says, "Quiet. Let's go hide. If it sees us, it might get scared away."

Everyone agrees and heads to a place to hide behind a bush.

Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Noctowl, the Owl Pokémon. A Normal and Flying Type. The evolved form of Hoot-Hoot, this highly intelligent Pokemon often twists its head 180 degrees when it is thinking. Noctowl is a nocturnal Pokémon."

Brock scratches his chin, "Hey guys, nocturnal means it moves around at night, but here it is out in the afternoon."

"I wonder why?" Jen replies.

"Maybe because this forest is so dark, the Noctowl thinks it's night-time even though it's day," Misty suggess

"Good point," Mew says.

"Yeah, you're probably right," Brock says.

The Noctowl starts to investigate the roost. Suddenly, someone sends it off with a tree branch, "Shoo, scat, vamoose! You're not the Noctowl that I want! Now beat it!"

Soon, the Noctowl flies away.

"Did that Noctowl just get chased away by a tree branch?" Tomo asks.

"That's what it looked like to me," Misty says.

"Eevee Vee," (No kidding!) Eevee says.

Suddenly, Brock notices something, "Hey! Look there!"

Soon, another Noctowl lands, but this one is a different color, gold with red wings and tail feathers, and black triangles on the stomach.

"This Noctowl's a different color than the last one!" Brock says.

Suddenly, someone says, "Ah, there you are, my colorful little Noctowl. I've been waiting for you." and whoever it is, holds a branch full of berries on it, "Easy, now. Doesn't this food look yummy? That's right, just take a little…"

However, the Noctowl attacks and knocks the branch off the stranger's hand before ramming its head into the tree making the stranger fall. The stranger soon catches himself, only for Noctowl to start pecking his fingers.

The man cries out, "Wait! Cut it out! That hurts! Don't do that, Noctowl! Don't!"

And the strange falls to the ground below. The man is wearing a purple, and yellow shirt, with glasses, and gray jeans. He has brown hair. He is dizzy and bruised from the fall. Mew and the others soon arrive.

Mew calls out, "Hey! Are you alright?"

"Can we help you, mister?" Misty asks

The man sits up, "Not Mister! The name's DR. Wiseman!"

"We're sorry. But at first you looked like a mister…" Brock says, and asks, "Anyway, what were you doing up in that tree, Doctor?"

"HA! I was attempting once again to capture that unusually colored Noctowl. Once again, he outsmarted me," Dr. Wiseman says.

"A Noctowl, huh?" Mew says. I can tell that this Noctowl will be hard to catch.

"Indeed. You won't catch that Noctowl. It'll outsmart you, too," Dr. Wiseman says. "Noctowl are known for their intelligence, but this one seems to like nothing better than to think of ways to prevent me from catching it."

"Wow. That's too bad," Mew says.

They turn to look at the new tree that Noctowl has landed on, and it's twisting and rotating its head in unnatural ways.

Tomo says in surprise, "Hey! Look at its head turn!"

"It's actually smaller than the average Noctowl, but its unique coloring and its remarkable brainpower make it an exceptionally rare and valuable Pokemon," Dr. Wiseman says.

"Maybe we can help catch Noctowl. I'll go over and talk to it," Mew says.

Mew then walks to the tree where Noctowl is.

"Hi Noctowl," Mew says.

The Noctowl looks at Mew as it stares down at her.

"I know it's a bit much to ask, but do you mind if you come down. Someone likes to meet you and get to know you," Mew says.

The Noctowl doesn't say anything, but stares at Mew. Then the Noctowl's eyes start glowing red, and emit a strange energy wave. Mew's eyes soon begin to glow red.

Mew then continues talking to Noctowl, "You don't need to be afraid. I'm sure we can talk about this.

However, Noctowl isn't saying anything.

Confused, Mew asks, "Hello? Are you okay?

Confused, Misty asks, "Hey, guys. Why do you think Mew is talking to a rock?"

"I don't know," Misty replies.

"I'm not sure, but Mew's eyes look dazed," Jen says.

"Because he's been hypnotized by that Noctowl," Wiseman says.

" Mew is hypnotized?" Tomo asks.

Soon, Brock understands, "I get it! Mew thinks the Noctowl is on the apple tree. Since she isn't talking to anyone, so Noctowl won't get captured."

"Are you okay? I'll climb up to check on you," Mew says.

Mew then begins to climb up the tree to see the Noctowl is alright, but it's not really there.

"I hope Mew will be alright," Misty says, confused.

The Noctowl laughs as it flies away.

"Don't worry Noctowl, you don't need to be scared. I won't hurt you," Mew says and pet nothing, and believes she's petting Noctowl.

Later, Mew and the others are in Dr. Wiseman's cabin, and he explains what happened.

"I warned you. That Noctowl's clever," Wiseman says.

Blushing, Mew says, "Oh my, that was really embarrassing. I can't believe I climbed up a tree and was talking to apples."

"That's okay. You were hypnotized," Jen says.

Misty turns to Wiseman, "You were starting to tell us that you moved here to this cabin because you wanted to devote yourself fulltime to trying to catch that Noctowl?"

"That is correct," Wiseman says, "I'm only interested in capturing and collecting the rarest, most unusual Pokémon."

"I have a very rare and unusual Pokémon," Misty says.

"You do, Misty? I'd love to see it," Wiseman asks, taking an interest.

Misty gets out her Pokeball and releases Psyduck.

"Well, what do you think of it?" Misty questions.

Confused, Wiseman asks, "Tell me, what's so rare and unusual about this Psyduck?"

"It can't fly and it doesn't swim a stroke," Misty says.

Wiseman stumbles in disbelief, Misty sheepishly laughs in reply.

Wiseman covers his ears, "ARRRRH! Whenever I hear laughing, all I can think of is that Noctowl sitting in that tree laughing at me! But it won't be laughing very much longer because I'm going to show it how clever I can be!"

"Well then, perhaps my friends and I can help you," Mew says.

"Well, I sympathize. But with all due respect, a trainer with your limited knowledge is no match for either me or that Noctowl," Wiseman days.

"I may still be learning, but I'm still willing to help. And with all due respect, you haven't had much luck capturing Noctowl either," Mew says.

Wiseman chuckles at the truth, "Once my new trap is completed, that will all be ancient history." and motions to a large, bulky object in the corner, covered by a large sheet.

"Really?" Tomo asks.

"I wanna see," Jen says.

Tomo and Jen walk to the sheet to see what it is.

Wiseman gasps, "I can't let you see it yet. It's a tippity-tip-top secret!"

"Uh Dr. Wiseman, with all due respect, I'm not sure if setting a trap is a good idea," Mew says, concerned.

"I agree with Mew," Brock says, "I think a secret trap's a bad idea. Even if you catch it, the Pokémon will never respect you as a trainer."

"It's always best to be honest and fair with Pokémon, Ash. Then, no matter what happens, there won't be no hard feelings," Misty says.

"Exactly," Mew says, "No traps. I'm gonna catch that Noctowl fair and square or not at all!"

"Very noble. But if you're smart, you'll see that kind of attitude won't help you capture this Pokémon," Dr. Wiseman says.

Mew stands up and sternly says, "Who cares about your secret trap? I'll catch Noctowl without one!"

"Yeah? We'll see about that!" Wise man says.

While Mew and Dr. Wiseman argue, Team Rocket has been eavesdropping on the conversation through the roof.

"Hear that?" Jessie asks.

"I sure did!" Meowth says.

"If they're fighting over that Noctowl, it must be very rare and valuable," James says.

"Dat means it'll make a fine feddered present for da big bossman!" James says.

The three chuckle in reply.

Later, Dr. Wiseman is in the tree, setting another trap, "There. Almost finished. Just one more adjustment and it's ready."

Meanwhile, Mew and the others are hiding behind the bushes.

Misty turns to the others, "If Noctowl's intelligent as Dr. Wiseman says it is, it must be too smart to fall into a trap."

"Maybe, but he's pretty smart, too," Tomo says.

The Pokemon nod.

Mew says in concern, "I still think this is a bad idea."

"Don't worry. I'm certain Noctowl will be here," Wiseman says.

But Brock asks, "What makes you so sure that Noctowl's gonna show up again, Dr. Wiseman?"

"Because Noctowl can never resist an opportunity to test its wits against mine," Noctowl says.

Soon, the Noctowl is heard.

Wiseman notices, "As you can hear, Noctowl has returned. Now keep your eyes open."

Soon, the Noctowl lands on the tree

"Here we go," Wiseman says and pulls a rope.

That started a chain reaction that slightly revealed a mirror right next to Noctowl. Thinking it's another Noctowl, the shiny Noctowl prepares to use Hypnosis.

"Look. It's using Hypnosis like it did before!" Brock says.

Wiseman chuckles, "It's doing exactly what I knew it would."

Noctowl uses the attack, but the Hypnosis wave reflects from the mirror and hits Noctowl. Noctowl begins to act strange

"What's happening, doctor? Why's Noctowl acting so weird?" Misty asks.

Wiseman laughs, "Noctowl didn't know it was looking into a mirror, so it hypnotized itself!"

"So that was your secret trap," Mew says.

"Pretty clever," Tomo says.

"It's losing its balance," Tomo says.

And Brock says, "You used Noctowl's own ability, and turned it back on itself!"

"Ha! You got it, kiddo! Noctowl's a super-intelligent Pokemon, but it can't compete with a super-intelligent human!" Wiseman says.

Dazed and confused, Noctowl turns towards Wiseman and tries to Hypnotize him, only to fall out of the tree.

With confidence, Wiseman says, "Well, I did it! I finally caught my clever little Noctowl," He tries to lift Noctowl, but to no avail, "Hey, you're pretty heavy for such a small Pokemon, aren't you?" It soon lifts up rock, "Well take a look, children! I got what I came for!" and presents it to the others.

However, it's revealed that Mew has the Noctowl in her arms. Mew rushes over and catches Noctowl before it gets hurt as the others look confused.

Jen asks, "If Dr. Wiseman is supposed to be so smart, why is he talking to a rock?"

"The Noctowl must've hypnotized him a second before it fell out of the tree!" Brock suspects

"He thinks that's Noctowl, but catches this Noctowl," Misty says and turns to Mew.

Brock looks at Noctowl to see its head is wobbly a bit, and the eyes are red.

"Its head is wobbling. It still must be under its own hypnotic spell," Brock says.

Mew looks at Noctowl, "Are you okay Noctowl? Are you hurt?"

Suddenly, Noctowl soon snaps out of the Hypnosis and notices himself in Mew's arms. Surprised, Noctowl flies off and stands his ground for defense.

"Be careful, Mew Noctowl might feel threatened by you. It probably thinks you're gonna hurt it!" Brock says.

Mew nods and sits down on her knees.

"I'm sorry you got startled, but I just couldn't let you get hurt after you accidentally hypnotized yourself," Mew says.

She then reaches her hand out slowly," It's okay. I won't hurt you, are you okay?

The Noctowl stares at Mew and sees the calm and kind eyes and gentle smile. Noctowl is about to approach Mew, but a large gust of wind blows in.

"What's that?" Mew asks.

The wind blows hard. Wiseman continues to hold the rock, but a tree branch hits him and snaps him out of the hypnosis

"Hey! What am I doing? The last I remember, I was holding Noctowl," Wiseman says, confused.

Soon, Wiseman is blown away.

"Where did this wind come from?" Misty asks.

Soon, Mew notices, "Hey! Look there!"

Everyone looks to see a gigantic robotic Noctowl and hears James' laughter. Then the robot lands.

"That's not a real Noctowl!" Mew says.

And soon, the Team Rocket motto comes in.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble cause we're on the prowl!

James:

Make it double, we're in the big owl!

Soon, Team Rocket appears on the top of the robot.

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above

Jessie:

Jessie!

James:

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blast off to the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now ,or prepare to fight!

Meowth:

Meowth! Dat's right!

"Team Rocket!" The group cries out.

Even the Pokemon cry out, "Team Rocket!" in their language.

"And we're going to catch that Noctowl," Meowth says.

Mew hugs Noctowl and says, "No way!"

Wiseman sternly says, "You! You ought to be ashamed of yourselves! Do you have so little regard for your own Pokemon capturing skills that you needed to create this monstrous contraption just to catch one little Noctowl? It's outrageous!"

James happily says, "For your information, we didn't create this monstrosity, we bought it... although a good deal of assembly was required."

Jessie smiles, "But, the box didn't include instructions on how to be ashamed of anything!"

Jessie and Hames laugh as they lower the back into the robot.

"They never play fair!" Jen angrily says.

"And they never will!" Tomo adds, angrily.

Brock shouts, "WHAT ABOUT THE RULES?! Decent honorable trainers only use their own Pokémon to catch new ones!"

"Yeah! That's right!" Misty says.

The Pokemon agree.

"Dat rule stuff's a lot of baloney! Rules for decent, honorable trainers don't apply ta us!" Meowth says

"That's exactly right!" Jessie says, "The only rule that applies to us is to do whatever it takes to get whatever we want."

"But one thing we definitely don't want is to listen to anymore goody-goody lectures from little twerps like you!" James says.

"And now we're gonna grab dat Noctowl and we don't give a hoot about what you say!" Meowth says.

"You're not gonna grab anything!" Mew says and holds on to Noctowl, "Thunderbolt attack, Pikachu! You too, Eevee!"

Pikachu and Eevee combine their power and fire, but it bounces off the robot and nearly hit the group. Mew also protects Noctowl from harm.

"I don't understand!" Wiseman says, shocked.

Team Rocket laughs.

"Pikachu and Eevee's attacks ain't gonna shock dis baby!" Meowth says.

"Now, aren't you glad we ordered the optional protective metal body coating that insulates us from electric attacks?" James says.

And Jessie says, "When we grab that Noctowl, the boss will treat us like winners at last!"

Wobbuffet leaps out from his Pokeball again, "Wobbbb-Buffet!" (You got that right!)

Jessie angrily says, "Get back in that ball, you blue loser!"

"WOBBBBBBBBBBBB!" (Sorry!) Wobbuffet says, and is recalled back inside the Pokeball.

Mew growls in anger, "There's no way! They're not gonna take Noctowl away!" And throws her Pokeball, "Okay, Totodile! Cyndaquil! Go!"

Totodile and Cyndaquil come out.

"Alright, Team Rocket, try us!" Mew says.

Cyndaquil nods its head in agreement as Totodile begins to dance

"Oh yeah?! Well, we got someting dat'll shut you up, ya little windbag!" Meowth says.

And with a push of a button, two hoses snake out from the side of the robot, and bumps the air.

"Hang on to your hats, twerps, It's about to get windy!" James says.

"Blow away!" Jessie says.

On cue, the hose retracts and the air from the balloon is released, blowing at everyone.

"We gotta hang on till those balloons run out of air!" Mew says.

Wiseman stands behind the tree and says, ""Perfect. With this wind to distract it, capturing my little Noctowl should be a breeze."

The wind is blowing so hard that Noctowl is blown away and knocked out.

Dr. Wiseman comes up and picks up Noctowl, "This time, I know it's really, truly you, Noctowl, and not a rock!"

Mew soon notices, "Wiseman! Noctowl! Wait!" And follows after them.

Unfortunately for them, Team Rocket vantage point in the head gives them a good view of their surroundings.

"Hmmm? What's he got there?" Meowth wonders.

The three soon see Dr. Wiseman taking Noctowl away from the area with Mew closing behind

"Hey! Dat guy's stealing our Noctowl!" Meowth shouts

"That lousy...!" Jessie angrily says.

And James asks, "Isn't there some rule about thieves not stealing from other thieves or something?"

"Rule or no rule, we gotta make sure he don't get away! Let's, try dis!" Meowth says, and presses another button.

Soon, the giant claw emerges from the robot's chest and pulls Wiseman by the coat. The doctor continues to run and hum happily as he is lifted from the ground. However, he soon realizes that he's been caught.

"The doctor, is out!" Meowth says.

And with a flick of a wrist, the claw tosses Dr. Wiseman and catches Noctowl while the Doctor falls to the ground.

Tomo calls out, "Look! They got Noctowl!"

"Noctowl!" Mew calls out.

Team Rocket laughs happily.

Meowth cheers, "

"Hooray hooray, we got a boid in da hand!" Meowth cheers.

"Let's hurry! I can't wait till the boss sees we finally got him a rare Pokémon!" Jessie says.

"It's time for us to fly and say bye-bye," James says.

As Team Rocket laughs, the robot mechanical talons rip loose from the soil and the balloon lifts it into the air.

"You're not gonna get away that easy!" Mew shouts, and calls out, "Go, Bulbasaur! Chikorita!"

She throws her Pokeballs and her Pokemon comes out.

"Okay, you guys, use your Vine Whip to stop that giant Noctowl!" Mew calls out.

The vines snake out and wrap around the talons of the giant bird, holding it in place.

Confused, Meowth asks, "What's dat?

"Something's holding our bird back," James says.

Mew says, "Alright! Now all I gotta do is set Noctowl free!"

Mew soon begins to climb a tree, popping loose from the upper foliage only feets away.

"I'm coming, Noctowl!" Mew calls out.

She then leaps on to the claw and tries to pull the claws lose to free Noctowl.

"Hang on, I'll have you out of there in a second!" Mew says.

Team Rocket laughs

"It's lovely to see you on the losing side for a change," Jessie says.

And James says, "It must stick in your craw that Noctowl's stuck in our claw!"

"Try all you like, twoipy. We got dat Noctowl an' we ain't lettin' go!" Meowth says.

Mew continues to struggle to pull it apart.

Suddenly, Psyduck comes out of his Pokeball,

Misty turns her head in surprise, "Why are you out? Get back in your Pokéball!"

Psyduck then holds his head and tries to concentrate.

Confused, Misty asks, "What are you doing? Psyduck, are you trying to use your Confusion?"

"PSSSYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! ("I'M TRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYIIIIIIIIINNNGGG!")

"Concentrate, Psyduck. This might work," Misty says.

Psyduck tries his hardest that his face turns red, and falls back with a groan.

Misty sights, "But not today."

Psyduck sits and lowers his head in disappointment.

Misty pats Psyduck on his head, "That's okay. You were trying to help."

Meanwhile, Mew continues to pull the claw as Noctowl watches on

"I'm gonna pull as hard as I can! Maybe I can move it just enough for you to get free!" Mew says and continues to pull until it's lifted slightly. "Okay! Fly away! Free!"

Noctowl then flies away.

Seeing what happened, James screams in shock, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Jessie angrily says, "I can't believe it!"

"Dat bratty brat!" Meowth angrily says.

Meowth then hits a button and sends the claw hurtling forward with Mew on it. Soon, Mew falls off and begins to fall towards the tree catching Noctowl's attention. Mew crashes into the ground.

"Mew! Misty cries out.

"Pika Pi! Eevee!" (Mew!) Pikachu and Eevee cry out.

Just then, Noctowl swoops down and hovers over Mew's Pokemon, going over a plan.

Meanwhile, arriving towards Mew, the others see that Mew has been knocked out cold from the fall

Brock soon notices, "Hey, look! Noctowl seems to be talking something over with the Pokemon!"

The Pokemon agree with Noctowl's lan and take their places

"I think Cyndaquil's gonna try an attack," Brock says.

As the grass Pokemon hold on to the robot, Cyndaquil rushes in and blasts a Flamethrower.

Jessie grins happily, "They can attack all they want, but their flames won't hurt us."

"We've got the optional metal body coating that insulates us!" James says.

Meowth laughs, "HAAA! We got da optional cup holders too!"

"I don't think Cyndaquil and the other fire Pokemon can burn through that thing," Brock says.

Cyndaqull keeps going on through as Noctowl watches carefully, waiting for the right moment. Soon, the robot glows red and Totodile steps up to the plate. He rushes and begins blasting at the same time as Cyndaquil, and Cyndaquil comes to a stop.

"They can spray us all they like, we don't care," Jessie says.

And James says, "We ordered the rust-proof undercoating, too!"

Suddenly, they hear cracking sounds.

Jessie asks, "Hey, what's that? What are you doing eating crackers at a time like this, Meowth?"

"I ain't eating any crackers," Meowth says.

Confused, Jessie says, "I'm sure I heard something like crackers."

"I just adore crackers and caviar!" James says.

"Hey! Dat noise is way too loud to be crackers," Meowth says.

Then James asks, "Then what could be making that cracking sound?"

Soon, Meowth realizes in shock, UHHHHHH! IT'S DA OPTIONAL PROTECTIVE COATING UNDER METAL BODY!"

James and Jessie begin to panic with Meowth while Totodile's Water Gun continues to crack the undercoating.

Brock soon realizes, "Noctowl's a genius! They're spraying cold water onto the hot metal coating!"

"The expanding and contracting is making that think crack up!" Misty says.

"That's an amazing idea," Jen says.

"Hey! Maybe now we have a chance to get Team Rocket!" Tomo says.

Soon, Eevee says, "Eevee Eevee Eevee! Vee Vee Eevee Eevee Eevee!" (Alright Totodile, I think that's just about does it! Now it's mine and Pikachu's turn!"

Totodile hears Eevee and moves out of the way. Pikachu and Eevee perform Thunderbolt and the volt travels through the robot, shocking the robot before it explodes, and sends the three flyin.

They scream "TEAM ROCKETS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!"

"WOB-UFF-ETT!" (Not again!) Wobbuffet cries out.

"They were great, but without Noctowl, they never would've beaten Team Rocket," Brock says.

"Noctowl really helped them out," Tomo says.

"Noctowl was the one who told Cyndaquil and Totodile what to do along with the other Fire and Water Pokémon," Misty says.

"How's Mew?" Jen asks.

Brock then gently lies her down, "I think she's fine, just unconscious from the fall."

Soon, Mew slowly begins to regain consciousness.

"G-guys?" Mew questions.

"Mew, are you okay?" Misty asks.

"I think so," Mew answers, sitting up and feeling dazed.

Pikachu and Eevee rush to Eevee and are relieved to see Mew is okay.

"Hey Pikachu. Eevee," Mew says.

Then turns to the others and asks, "What happened?"

"Noctowl has the Pokemon working together to defeat Team Rocket," Tomo says.

"Noctowl's cool," Jen says.

"Really?" Mew asks, surprised.

The Pokemon agree

Soon, Noctowl walks to Mew and looks at her.

"What is it, Noctowl?" Mew asks.

Noctowl then talks to Mew, which catches her by surprise, even Tomo.

"What is it?" Misty asks.

"Noctowl wants me to challenge him," Mew says, surprised.

Everyone says, surprised.

I believe you're right, Mew," Wiseman says, "I've tried to catch Noctowl for a long time and I failed. It's too smart for me. Maybe you'll have better luck."

"But you want it," Mew replies

"Yes, but I've had my chance, and Noctowl's decided it's your turn. So give it your best shot," Wiseman says.

"Okay," Mew says.

Mew then stands up and says, "Noctowl, I accept your challenge."

Then turns to Pikachu, "Let's go, Pikachu!"

Pikachu leaps into action.

"Okay, Pikachu, start off with a Thunderbolt!" Mew calls out.

Pikachu charges his attack, but Noctowl blasts Pikachu with Hypnosis, causing his eyes to dilate.

"Pikachu!" Mew calls out.

Pikachu lets out his electricity, but can't aim or control it due to the attack.

"Pikachu has been hit with Hypnosis," Mew says.

Soon, one of the bolts hits him.

"Pikachu! Are you okay?!" Mew asks.

Pikachun shakes out the cobwebs, snapping him out of hypnosis.

"Alright! That Thunderbolt shocked Pikachu right back to normal!" Mew says.

Noctowl swoops down and chases Pikachu.

Mew calls out, "Pikachu, don't look into Noctowl's eyes! Attack where you hear the sound of its wings!"

"Pika! (Gotcha!) Pikachu says.

Pikachu lowers his head and lifts his ears as Noctowl glides through the air, flapping his wings every so often to keep it airborne. At the right moment, Pikachu launches Thunderbolt with full force, and zaps Noctowl until he's down.

"That was perfect, Pikachu!," Mew says.

She then throws her Pokeball, "Pokéball, go!"

The Pokeball hits Noctowl and the Pokemon is pulled inside. The Pokeball glows red and wobbles as Mew and the others watch. Soon, the Pokeball soon pings, indicating that Noctowl has been successfully caught.

"We did it," Mew says, and picks up the Pokeball, "We caught Noctowl."

Pikachu and Eevee cheer.

"Congratulations, Mew," Misty says.

"That was awesome!" Brock says.

"That was amazing," Tomo says.

"So cool," Jen says.

"A capture to be proud of," Wiseman says.

"Oh, thanks a lot, Dr. Wiseman," Mew says.

Then looks at her Pokeball, "Thanks, Noctowl. It's good to have you with us."

Later, Mew and her friends bid farewell to Wiseman.

"Good luck, and take good care of that Noctowl!" Wiseman says.

"I sure will!" Mew says.

"Good luck to you, too!" Brock says.

"Take care!" Misty says.

"Goodbye," Jen says.

"See ya!" Tomo says.

Soon, Mew and the others take their leave with her new Noctowl friend. And now, Mew and her friends continue to make their way to Goldenrod City.
