And so, the battle between Blue Eye and Rico and Jonathan had begun.

"Beartic, use Ice Beam!" Blue Eye commanded Beartic seriously.

Beartic then used Ice Beam, striking Riolu and Piplup with an icy beam of energy.

But Riolu and Piplup dodged that, and Rico quickly commanded it, "Quickly, Riolu, use Focus Blast, and Piplup, use Bubble Beam!"

"Greninja, use Water Shuriken!" Jonathan commanded Greninja in cool seriousness.

Then, Riolu, Piplup, and Greninja used Focus Blast, Bubble Beam, and Water Shuriken, striking Blue Eye's Pokémon with a balanced effectiveness. Beartic almost collapsed to the ground from the Focus Blast, but it got up almost immediately. The two Scraggys didn't got hit hard by Bubble Beam and Water Shuriken.

"Woah, what?" Rico commented on Beartic's minimum resilience against his Riolu's Focus Blast. He then thought, "We and Riolu had worked hard on that move."

"This is gonna be hard, Rico," Jonathan said to Rico.

"Yeah, I know."

And then, one of Blue Eye's grunts commanded Scraggy, "Use Low Kick!"

His Scraggy then charged towards Riolu and used Low Kick, kicking Riolu with a powerful low kick, striking it with minimum power. Riolu got blasted away by a few feet and collapsed to the ground, but managed to get up almost immediately.

"Riolu, are you okay?" Rico asked it.

Riolu then responded with mild pain.

Thinking very fast, Rico commanded Piplup, "Quickly, Piplup, use Water Gun on that Scraggy!"

Piplup then used Water Gun, blasting that Scraggy with a forceful shot of water, striking it with minimum power.

"What?" Blue Eye commented with mild shock.

Her male grunt's Scraggy then shook the water off its body and focused back to the battle.

"That's not effective?" Rico commented.

"Quickly, Scraggy, use Brick Break!" Blue Eye's female grunt commanded the remaining Scraggy.

Her Scraggy then charged towards Piplup and used Brick Break, attacking Piplup with a swift chop.

"Dodge it!" Rico quickly commanded Piplup.

Piplup then dodged Scraggy's attack, and Rico commanded it, "Then use Peck!"

Piplup then charged towards Scraggy and used Peck, jabbing Scraggy with a sharply pointed beak, striking it with great effectiveness.

Scraggy then collapsed to the ground in pain.

"What? That's effective?" Scraggy's male Trainer responded to this.

"Wow, way to go, Rico!" Jonathan responded.

"Thanks, big brother," Rico replied back to Jonathan.

But, Blue Eye was a little bit frustrated by this, and she said to Rico and Jonathan, "You little…" Then to Beartic, "Quickly, Beartic, use Ice Beam, again!"

Beartic then used Ice Beam, striking Greninja and Piplup with an icy beam of energy.

"Quickly, dodge it!" both Rico and Jonathan simultaneously commanded Riolu, Piplup, and Greninja.

Riolu, Piplup, and Greninja then dodged Beartic's attack, shocking Blue Eye a bit.

"Then use Focus Blast!" Rico commanded Riolu.

"Greninja, use Acrobatics!" Jonathan commanded Greninja.

Riolu and Greninja then used Focus Blast and Acrobatics on Beartic and the two Scraggys, striking them with great effectiveness. As a result, the two Scraggys got defeated, leaving Beartic in the battle.

"Oh, no…" Blue Eye's grunts said to each other. They called their Pokémon and reported to their admin that they ran out of Pokémon.

This angers Blue Eye a lot, and she commanded Beartic, "Beartic, use Powder Snow!"

Beartic then used Powder Snow, attacking with a chilling gust of powdery snow. Rico, Jonathan, and their Pokémon in battle then tried to withstand the blizzard-like attack, but Piplup and Riolu are shivering from the cold.

"You're going to lose," Blue Eye said to them in style.

"We can do this together!" Jonathan said to Rico.

"I know!" Rico responded back.

Riolu, Piplup, and Greninja then responded while trying to withstand Beartic's attack.

But then, moments later, something unexpected had happened to Piplup: it's evolving, transforming its body.

Rico noticed this, and responded, "What the…? What's happening to Piplup?"

"It's…It's evolving!" Jonathan replied as soon as he looks at Piplup.

"Really?"

Jonathan then nodded a little bit due to the blizzard-like attack.

Blue Eye and her team are amazed at Piplup's evolution.

Then, Piplup evolved into a Prinplup, and it jumped, and used and learned Hydro Pump, blasting Beartic with a huge volume of water launched under great pressure. This strikes Beartic very well with the pressure of water, causing the Powder Snow to dissipate, ending the snowy attack. Prinplup then landed back to the ground in action.
