Chapter 59: Chapter 59 - The Pokémon Center in the Middle of the Mountain Range
Later, at 12:22 p.m., after much walking and trekking, they finally reached the Pokémon Center, which was a building sitting a few meters from the edge of the cliff with an elevation of over 100 meters above the river below. The group were delighted to finally find the nearest Pokémon Center in the mountains because they are barely any people who lived in such a rugged location.
"Finally!" Rico commented as he straightens his back for a few seconds.
"Well, this is it," Jonathan said to him. "This is the Pokémon Center in the mountains."
His Greninja then responded normally.
Riolu then responded with positivity.
Prinplup stayed silent, however.
And so, all of them entered the Pokémon Center, and walked up to Nurse Joy's desk.
Inside the air-conditioned main room, Nurse Joy greeted them nicely and with hospitality, "Welcome to the Pokémon Center. Are you here to heal up your Pokémon?"
"Yes, just my Riolu, Prinplup, and my brother's Greninja," Rico positively answered back.
"I see, okay then."
With that, Rico grabbed Riolu's and Prinplup's Poké Balls, and called Riolu and Prinplup back to their Poké Balls. Jonathan then did the same thing to his Greninja. After that, they both placed their Poké Balls onto a tray, and said to Nurse Joy, "Alright then, that's it."
"Okay, just relax in our waiting room and wait," Nurse Joy said to them with a smile and a sense of hospitality.
"Thank you so much."
And so, Rico and Jonathan went to the waiting room and settled down on one of the empty rows of seats in exhaustion and in need of a break from walking. Once he and Jonathan put their backpacks on the vacant seats, Rico zipped his backpack open to get his lunchbox, which Jonathan had cooked food and put in it, and grab his travel, plastic utensils. Jonathan then did the same thing. They then opened their lunchboxes together, and they both eat up in hunger.
"Man, traveling together was so much fun," Rico said to Jonathan.
"Yeah, so I could make up to you," Jonathan responded while eating.
After that, Rico put aside his meal to get his Pokémon's food and food bowls to give his remaining Pokémon food. After setting up and preparing, he grabbed all of his remaining Poké Balls, threw them into the air, and shouted moderately, "Come out, everybody!"
His remaining Pokémon then came out of their Poké Balls and entered the scene in various attitudes.
Jonathan did the same thing to his Boldore
"Well, everyone, eat up," Rico said to them.
His Pokémon did so, and they all eat up.
Absol was eating seriously, while Starly and Litleo are eating with delight.
"Boldore, eat up," Jonathan said to Boldore as he finishes preparing Boldore's food.
Boldore did so, and it eat up.
Luckily, the waiting room was empty when they arrived there, as if the Pokémon Center was rarely visited by anyone.
And as their Pokémon eat up, Rico and Jonathan are watching over them with positivity while eating their own meal.
Later, at 1:01 p.m., Rico and Jonathan picked up their Pokémon's empty food bowls and stored them in their backpacks. Luckily most of these bowls are foldable so it won't be bulky in their backpacks. After that, they let their Pokémon have some time off from being in their Poké Balls. In response to that, they were happy and most of them went off to play around. But, Absol preferred to take a short nap instead of playing with the others. At the same time, Rico and Jonathan finished eating their meal, and they put away their dirty lunchboxes and plastic utensils in their backpacks. Then, coinciding with the moment they zipped their backpacks closed, a sound chimed in, indicating that their Riolu, Prinplup, and Greninja are now feeling better. Nurse Joy came back pushing a lab cart with a tray of three Poké Balls. Hearing that, Rico and Jonathan stand up and walked up to Nurse Joy's desk to pick up their Pokémon.
"Thanks for waiting," Nurse Joy said to them. "Your Pokémon are now feeling better."
With that, Rico and Jonathan picked up their Poké Balls, and Rico said to Nurse Joy, "Thank you so much."
Smiling at them, Nurse Joy responded nicely, "You're welcome. Come again."
With that, Rico and Jonathan called Riolu, Prinplup, and Greninja, and they came out of their Poké Balls in various attitudes.
Nurse Joy saw this, and she turned towards the duo and asked them a question, "Say, are you two going to Galen City?"
"Oh, yes, we are," Rico answered back positively, "so I could challenge the next gym there."
"I see. Well, the annual Book Festival is getting closer you know, so how about signing up and submit your stories and/or book covers for existing stories?"
"Oh, yeah, I'm planning to sign up and submit my book covers there," Rico replied back.
Mildly surprised by this, Jonathan asked Rico, "Wait, Rico, you know that festival?"
Looking at Jonathan, Rico responded, "Yes, and me and my friend Adrian are two of the patrons of that festival."
"Wow, I didn't know that."
"Sorry, I hid that one from you."
Then, Nurse Joy responded to this, "That's great, have fun."
Looking at Nurse Joy, Rico replied, "Thanks, Nurse Joy."
"Okay, stay here as long as you needed."
"That'll be great, we'll stay here until 3 in the afternoon."
"Sure, we had beds in the second floor if you want to lay down for a while. They are also air-conditioned as well."
"Thanks a lot, Nurse Joy."
