Reincarnated into Another World as a Heartless Warrior

Chapter 3: The Awakening of the New Striker

By the time Arima was still processing the information given by the system, his mother, Raevhen, was busy cooking lunch. She was chopping the vegetables needed for the soup. Raevhen was wearing fitted clothes, and her chest was slightly visible. Her skin was light, and her brown eyes resembled Arima's.

When Jayce finished cleaning as Raevhen had told him to, he immediately walked to the kitchen and saw her. He was drawn to her, so he walked over to Raevhen and hugged her from behind. "You're so beautiful today, aren't you, honey?" he said, resting his hand against her stomach.

Raevhen couldn't move because Jayce was hugging her. "Hey, don't cling to me, I'm still chopping vegetables for our soup," Raevhen said. Jayce replied, "Don't be mean to me. I just want to hug my beloved wife."

raevhen slightly blushed but tried to hide it. "Why don't you go away and look for Arima? This soup will be ready in just a few minutes, and then we can have lunch," Claire said, her face showing irritation as she spoke to Jayce.

"But I just want to hug you," Jayce replied. Raevhen stared deeply at Jayce, her face serious. Jayce felt a bit nervous. "Okay, okay, I'll go pick him up now, but just let me kiss you," he added, his lips already puckered, his eyes closed. Raevhen ignored him, continuing to focus on her chopping. For a few seconds, Jayce's lips remained hanging as he waited for Raevhen to kiss him. Finally, Raevhen said, "fine If you pick up our son, I'll kiss you."

Then Jayce's face lit up after hearing it. "Gotcha, honey," Jayce said, and he immediately left.

Back to Arima, he had been given a daily workout to level up his status. The system provided him with the following workout:

[Complete the following quest]

25 push-ups

25 sit-ups

25 crunches

Strengthening his physical abilities was the first priority.

Arima immediately set aside his wooden sword. His face was still filled with shock at what was happening, but he was also a bit excited about what the future might hold if he continued.

Meanwhile, his life was much better now compared to before because he was tired of doing the same job every day. Now, he had been reincarnated into another world where magic existed, and that thrilled him. He felt a renewed sense of ambition, eager to fulfill the system's expectations.

The first thing Arima did was complete the 25 push-ups near a big tree in front of the grassy field. This spot felt perfect for him to start his workout.

He placed both hands firmly on the ground and began pushing, counting aloud, "1, 2, 3, 4..." By the time he reached 15, his arms were trembling, and his strength was fading. Despite the fatigue, Arima refused to give up.

Finally, after finishing the set of 25 push-ups, his body was drenched in sweat, and his clothes were soaked from the effort. Still, the quest wasn't over yet—he had two more workouts to complete.

Arima complained about how hard it was due to his small body, but he was determined to finish the workout. He checked his status again, and the blue screen appeared:

[System Notification]

Daily Quest

Push-ups: 25/25

Sit-ups: 0/25

Crunches: 0/25

After resting for a few minutes, Arima started again with the sit-ups, counting from 1. Sweat dripped from his face to the ground with each rep. The sun was at its peak due to the El Niño.

"It's so hard," he murmured while doing the sit-ups. His legs were trembling, and the intensity was brutal for him. Given how young Arima was, only 7 years old, the challenge was even greater.

fter Arima finished the set, he gasped for air, exhausted from the effort. His body was drained, but there was only one workout left. His mental strength was unwavering, and even though his body was ready to give up, Arima was determined to continue.

A few minutes later, he started the crunches, counting each rep. As he was nearing the end of the set, his father, Jayce, saw him and was shocked by what his son was doing. He didn't intervene, instead smiling at his son's determination.

When Arima finished all three workouts, he received a reward from the daily quest.

[Daily Quest Reward]

[Open Box]

Arima clicked on [The Received]. Inside the box was a small dagger, perfectly sized for him.

Just then, Jayce gently shouted his name, "Arimaaaaaa-kunn! It's time to eat!"

Arima was startled by the shout, and at the same moment, the system gave him a choice:

[Hide the dagger or pull it out?]

Arima chose to hide the dagger. He immediately stood up, picked up his wooden sword, and walked toward his father.

As Arima walked, his legs were trembling with pain from the intense workout. When he got close to his father, his legs finally gave out, and he collapsed to the ground. Jayce immediately ran to catch him and held his body.

"What are you doing, Arima? Why are you so sweaty?" Jayce asked, his face filled with concern.

Arima looked into his father's eyes and quickly said, "I was just practicing with my wooden sword," not wanting to tell him the truth.

"Okay, okay," Jayce replied. "Hold on tightly to my back." He then carefully lifted Arima and began carrying him.

As Arima was carried by his father, he noticed the scars on Jayce's nape. They seemed to form a symbol. Arima, feeling small and frail in comparison, also noticed how broad and solid his father's back was. It made him start to believe more in what the system had been telling him.

Jayce, however, noticed something different about Arima. He couldn't explain it, but it was as if Arima had changed slightly. After a moment of thought, he dismissed it.

"Well, time sure does fly, huh?" he whispered to himself.

A few moments later, they arrived home. Jayce shouted, causing Raevhen to add a little extra flavor to the soup, And when they arrived, Jayce didn't realize that Arima had fallen asleep on his back.
