Rise of Super Beast

Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Reshma! My image depend on you

"Amrita!"

The materialized blade made cuts all over her body while she managed to stop it by crossing her hands before her neck and head.

Groaning, she slumped to the ground, heavily wounded.

This moment was enough, as Monika reached just in time.

Clank!

The claw and a shield clashed, or Amrita's head would have been beheaded today.

With her red eyes, Divya shot arrows continuously without pause. The Silver Wolf King saw everything. Its eyes remained the same, but its fur changed to a bright silver with a faint black tint.

Sneha shouted with all her strength, "It's activating its king bloodline! Get out of its range!"

Swish!

Everyone disappeared from the range, with Monika carrying Amrita's limp body on her shoulder.

The enhanced blade, now sharper, materialized around the Silver Wolf King and spread freely in every direction.

Thump!

Trees fell continuously as they came into contact with the enhanced blade. Approaching Priya, Monika laid the fainted Amrita down. "Don't let her fall into critical condition. We will hold the beast."

"Okay, I'll try," Priya replied. Without delay, after seeing the grave wounds, she summoned her beast. A plant, about one meter tall, appeared before Priya, flaring its cute, small branches.

The plant's little eyes blinked as it perceived the emotions of its master. It moved toward Amrita, its branches enlarging and reaching her.

Small leaves fell on Amrita's body, quickly regenerating from where they fell and falling again on her wounds.

Amrita's wounds visibly began to heal as Priya also cast a healing spell. However, continuously healing her caused Priya's body to visibly shake, and her face turned pale.

On the battlefield, everyone had taken some damage, but the condition of the Silver Wolf King was no better. Activating its king bloodline had taken too much of a toll on its body. Yet, seeing the situation worsen, the beast fully activated its king bloodline without hesitation, and cracks began to appear on its body.

"Don't waste time! We're here for training!" Sneha shouted to remind everyone of their goal.

"Don't worry, leader. We know our priority," Divya replied. She activated her family's signature technique and shot fire and ice arrows toward the beast. Meanwhile, Monika threw her shield, and Sneha calmly analyzed the situation.

The Silver Wolf King didn't evade. It was near death and had decided to give meaning to its death—or take one of them with it. With a swift motion, it howled toward the arrows and deflected the shield with its body.

However, the beast underestimated the fire and ice arrows, and all its blades were cut down. Seeing the growing size of the arrow's point, the beast's claws radiated power and swung at the arrow.

Clank!

Instead of deflecting, the arrow burst, covering the beast's front paw and face.

Awwooo!

A scream came from the beast as the fire and ice scorched and froze its face simultaneously.

Howl!

With one final howl toward the sky, the Silver Wolf King slumped to the ground, its emotionless eyes staring upward.

"We won!" Monika said with a bitter smile.

"No, we didn't win," Sneha interrupted, moving toward the beast with a dagger in hand.

Skillfully, she threw the dagger, which cut and penetrated its neck.

Howl!

A small howl escaped its mouth, and foam started to bleed from it.

"It's dead now," Sneha confirmed.

....

Staring at the Silver Wolf King, Sam's eyes narrowed. "Mental power! That's a very rare combination for a dagger," he remarked. Taking a glance at Sneha, he added, "But she needs more training."

Approaching Divya, who stood near Amrita, he handed her a handkerchief. "She only suffered physical damage," he said, then disappeared.

Every girl blinked, confused. Was that a human tongue?

Summoning back her beast, Priya shook her head. "Critical damage has been healed. She just needs rest." Her body also stammered, but Monika caught her.

"You should rest too," Monika said.

Taking a seat, Priya nodded with her pale face. "Hmm."

Lowering her head, Sneha admitted her mistake. "Sorry. Because of my wrong call, she suffered."

Patting her shoulder, Monika encouraged her. "Leader, our goal wasn't to win or use our beast but to train our bodies so our foundation would be better."

"Yeah, leader. Only failure teaches us what we lack," another added.

Sneha's eyes moistened. "Thanks," she said. Quickly regaining composure, she added, "Okay. We'll hunt and make her favorite barbecue. Let's go and search." She began moving at a normal pace.

The group moved with their bodyguards, while Sam appeared before Divya. "I found a grinding spot," he said.

Raising an eyebrow, she gave him a questioning stare.

"I went to search for it since I already inspected the place," he explained.

"Okay. Guide me," she replied.

Blinking his eyes, he muttered, "I forgot she isn't very quick." Against his will, he added, "Follow me, riding on your beast."

"You think I'll slow you down?"

"No doubt. Hurry up," he replied as his figure almost disappeared.

"Hold on!" she called, summoning her beast and flying into the sky.

Sam, at his own pace, turned back and saw her flying on a beast resembling a peacock.

Divya gave a mischievous grin. "Hurry up, or I'll have to carry you."

Smiling faintly, he exerted strength on the ground, leaping onto a branch. Swiftly, his figure left afterimages as he moved forward.

"Reshma, my image depends on you," Divya encouraged her beast, which quickly accelerated, chasing the afterimages.
