Supreme Emperor of One Piece

Shirayama lay leisurely on the small boat, humming a tune she didn't recognize.

Aki sat beside him, looking a bit frightened. Her face was pale, and she clutched Shirayama's hand tightly, not daring to let go.

Around the boat, enormous sea creatures occasionally swam past. Each time Aki spotted one, her face would show panic; she was terrified of sea kings.

Ahead of them, a sea king with several lumps on its head was pulling the boat, looking utterly miserable. Its lantern-like eyes were filled with distress.

On top of its head, a Den Den Mushi lazily soaked in the sun, clearly not concerned about the situation. No wonder Shirayama couldn't get through to it.

"Aki, don't be afraid. It's fine. As long as I'm here, those sea kings won't dare to cause trouble!"

Seeing Aki's fear, Shirayama gently placed Aki's delicate hand on his chest, patting it to reassure her.

Perhaps the steady beat of Shirayama's heart gave Aki a sense of security, or maybe it was Shirayama's soothing words that brought her some comfort.

Either way, Aki's face grew a little less pale, and her body began to relax.

"Well, you'll get used to it the more we do this. It's just big fish. Haven't you eaten them before? What's there to be scared of?"

Seeing Aki still frightened, Shirayama sat up, pulled Aki into his arms, and began gently patting her back, speaking in a calming voice.

"Mm!"

Indeed, with Shirayama's embrace, Aki's tense body loosened, and her expression became much more at ease.

"Roar!"

However, some sea kings just didn't know when to stop.

Suddenly, a massive, serpentine sea king emerged from the water ahead, blocking nearly fifty meters of their path. Its eyes burned with violent aggression as it glared down at the two on the boat, letting out a deafening roar that shook the water beneath them.

"Ah!"

Aki screamed, immediately retreating behind Shirayama, her body trembling uncontrollably.

But Shirayama was instantly enraged!

In his mind, he thought, I finally take my wife out on a trip, and this damn creature dares to scare her? It's asking for death!

Shirayama's gaze turned sharp and cold, his presence exuding an aura of violence as he raised her right hand and pulled the trigger.

"Photon Cannon!"

Shirayama muttered, and from the wound on her hand, a massive, white beam of light shot out, as thick as a barrel. The light tore through the air like lightning, heading straight for the sea king.

"Roar!"

The sea king, sensing the imminent threat of death, let out a panicked scream, but it was too late.

"Boom!"

The photon cannon struck the sea king's head directly, blasting through its skull with a single shot. The beam continued on its path, leaving a trail of white light in the air.

"Bang!"

The massive body of the sea king fell heavily into the water, creating a massive wave that sent the boat rocking violently, almost capsizing it.

Aki's face turned ghostly pale. Having grown up by the sea, she understood all too well how terrifying a tsunami could be.

"Pull the boat, now! Do you want to watch me get swallowed by the sea?"

Shirayama's voice was cold as he turned to the sea king pulling the boat, his words as chilling as the depths of the underworld.

"Ugh!"

Hearing Shirayama's command, the sea king pulling the boat trembled in fear, immediately swimming with all its strength to pull the boat toward calmer waters.

It could feel the icy threat emanating from Shirayama behind it, and it knew that if it failed, it might share the same fate as the other sea king.
