The Perverted Jester of Chaos: Reborn to Clown Around

Chapter 17: Chapter ¹⁷ Blobby's Big Idea and the Mystery Transfer Student

Chapter 17: Blobby's Big Idea and the Mystery Transfer Student

"If there's one thing I've learned about life, it's this: peace is an illusion. The moment you think you've finally gotten a break, the universe slaps you with another dose of chaos. It's like the author here has a quota for shenanigans. Spoiler alert: he does."

---

After the whole Hotpot of Doom fiasco, Reina and I agreed on one thing—never trust Blobby's instincts.

"Boss, I was right, though!" Blobby protests, hovering over my shoulder as we walk to class.

"Yeah, and we almost got turned into human soup," I reply.

"Worth it!" Blobby chirps.

Reina snickers. "Admit it, Akira. You're enjoying this."

"I enjoy sleep and snacks. Everything else is a nightmare," I grumble.

---

As we reach the classroom, a strange tension hangs in the air.

Everyone's whispering, and even Mr. Kurata seems distracted.

"What's going on?" I ask, sliding into my seat.

Reina shrugs. "No idea, but everyone's talking about some new transfer student."

"Transfer student?" I repeat. "Let me guess—mysterious, ridiculously good-looking, and probably hiding a dark secret?"

"Pretty much," Reina says, smirking.

"Let me break it down for you: in every magical school story, the transfer student is either a prodigy, a secret villain, or both. Calling it now—this one's going to make my life harder."

---

The door slides open, and Mr. Kurata clears his throat.

"Class, we have a new student joining us today. Please welcome—"

Before he can finish, the new student strides in, and the room collectively gasps.

---

He's tall, with messy black hair, piercing red eyes, and a smirk that screams trouble.

"Hello, everyone," he says in a deep, smooth voice.

Great. Another one of those types.

---

Narration Mode Activated

"Oh, come on! Did the author pull this guy straight out of a bad boy generator? Seriously, give me a break!"

[Author's Note: You're the one who keeps asking for comedy.]

---

The new student's gaze sweeps over the room before landing on me.

"You," he says, pointing dramatically.

I blink. "Me?"

"You're Akira Tanaka, aren't you?"

"Uh…yeah?"

---

He smirks. "I've heard a lot about you."

"Cool," I say awkwardly. "And you are?"

"The name's Ryu," he says, flipping his hair like he's in a shampoo commercial. "Ryu Kurogane."

---

Narration Mode Activated

"Ryu Kurogane. Of course, his name is ridiculously edgy. What's next? Is he going to challenge me to a duel in the rain?"

---

To my surprise, Ryu strides over and sits in the empty desk next to mine.

"Hey, Akira," he says, leaning closer. "Mind if we chat after class?"

Reina raises an eyebrow. "What's this about?"

"Oh, nothing," Ryu says casually. "I just want to see if the rumors are true."

---

"Rumors?" I repeat.

"You know," he says, smirking. "The ones about your hidden power."

The classroom falls silent.

---

Narration Mode Activated

"Great. Now I'm officially on everyone's radar. Thanks, Ryu. Really appreciate it."

---

After class, Ryu drags me to the courtyard. Reina, of course, tags along, probably to make sure I don't do anything stupid.

"So," I say, crossing my arms. "What's this about?"

Ryu grins. "I just want to test something."

"Test what?"

---

Without warning, he summons a massive sword and points it at me.

"I challenge you to a duel!"

There it is.

---

Narration Mode Activated

"Called it. Rain duel next. Someone cue the dramatic soundtrack."

---

"Duel?" I repeat, sighing. "Why does everyone want to fight me?"

"Because you're hiding something," Ryu says, his eyes gleaming. "And I want to see it for myself."

"I'm not hiding anything," I lie.

Reina snorts. "You're a terrible liar."

---

Blobby pops out of my bag, buzzing with excitement. "Fight! Fight! Fight!"

"Not helping, Blobby," I mutter.

"Oh, come on, boss!" Blobby says. "Show him who's boss!"

---

Ryu raises an eyebrow. "What's that…thing?"

Blobby glares at him. "I'm Blobby, his magical mascot and personal cheerleader! You got a problem with that?"

---

Ryu laughs. "That's your mascot? No wonder you're hiding your strength."

"Alright, that's it," I say, cracking my knuckles. "Let's do this."

---

We square off, and a crowd begins to gather.

"Try not to embarrass yourself," Ryu says, smirking.

"Same to you," I reply.

---

He lunges first, his sword glowing with dark energy. I dodge easily, summoning a barrier to block his follow-up strike.

"Not bad," he says, grinning. "But can you handle this?"

He unleashes a flurry of attacks, each one more aggressive than the last.

---

Narration Mode Activated

"Okay, credit where it's due—this guy's good. But I can't let him know that. Gotta keep up the clown act."

---

"Whoa, whoa, take it easy!" I shout, pretending to stumble.

Ryu pauses, confused. "What are you doing?"

"Tripping," I say, flailing dramatically.

---

The crowd laughs, and Ryu looks annoyed.

"Are you mocking me?"

"Nope!" I say, dodging another strike. "I'm just naturally this uncoordinated!"

---

Reina facepalms. "He's impossible."

Blobby, meanwhile, is cheering like it's a sports game.

"Go, boss! Show him your moves!"

---

Finally, I get bored and decide to end the fight.

With a flick of my wrist, I disarm Ryu and send him flying backward with a gentle burst of magic.

The crowd gasps.

---

Ryu picks himself up, laughing. "I knew it. You are hiding something."

"Am not," I say, shrugging.

He grins. "This is going to be fun."

---

Later that night, a shadowy figure watches me from a rooftop.

"So, this is the infamous Akira Tanaka," they murmur. "Let's see if he's ready for what's coming."

The camera pans to reveal a glowing symbol on their hand, pulsing ominously.
