Trapped in Paradise (In a Hentai World, as a Trap)

Volume 1 Chapter 111: Since You’re Already Here…

“Don’t go hitting on girls out there! All the women outside are trouble.”

“Got it.”

“And come back right after you’re done, don’t hang around outside. I want pasta tonight.”

“Mm-hmm.”

“The buses shouldn’t be too crowded around noon, but definitely don’t take the subway! I heard that certain women on the subway just love getting handsy with men.”

“That actually happens?” Wang Jie looked up, dazed.

Ning Chu rolled her eyes at him. “Only with good-looking guys.”

“Understood.”

Watching Ning Chu chase after Wen Yang, scolding him, Wang Jie mumbled in confusion, “Why is she acting like such a mom?”

He looked down at his little mirror and kept fussing with his hair.

He was off to see his girlfriend this time, so even though he usually didn’t bother with his appearance, today he had to at least make an effort.

“Oh, by the way, Wang Jie, when are you leaving?”

“My train’s in an hour.”

Ning Chu walked over, eyeing Wang Jie up and down, then frowned and rubbed her chin thoughtfully. “Your look is a bit too… plain.”

After nagging Wen Yang, now she was nagging Wang Jie.

Wang Jie looked resigned; after two months of living together, he knew Ning Chu’s personality well.

She worried about everyone and everything.

“There’s not enough time, but you could use a perm. Your hair’s too soft; it’s stuck flat against your head.” Ning Chu looked over at Zhang Shaoqing’s desk. “I remember he has some hair gel. I’ll go grab it.”

She wanted Wang Jie to look handsome enough to avoid ending up as some tragic NTR doujin victim.

“You’re usually quiet, so sweet-talk her a bit when you see her. You’re long-distance, right? Make sure to be warm and welcoming when you meet.”

“Hey, this cap of Shaoqing’s looks good! Try it on.”

“And this shirt! It’s perfect! Put it on.”

“And these shoes—”

Finally, Wang Jie couldn’t hold back any longer. “Isn’t it a bit much to take all of Shaoqing’s stuff?”

“I gave him a heads-up last night.” Ning Chu pulled out her phone to show her chat history with Zhang Shaoqing. “He said to use whatever we want. Too bad you don’t have a driver’s license—otherwise, he’d lend you his car so you could pick up your girlfriend in style.”

“…”

“I’m heading out,” Wen Yang called, already at the door with his shoes on.

Ning Chu quickly turned and followed him. “You’ll be back by seven?”

“Yeah, you can take an afternoon nap; I’ll be back by then.”

She stopped at the doorway, watching Wen Yang leave, then turned back. Wang Jie had also finished packing and was already lugging his suitcase out.

“Wen Yang! Wait for me; we can walk out together!”

And just like that, Ning Chu was left alone in the dorm.

She closed and locked the door with a slight pang of disappointment, picked up Black Bean, and returned to sit in front of her computer.

The dorm, usually bustling with noise, was now empty and quiet, and it was a bit unsettling.

In her arms, Black Bean started struggling to get free and suddenly bit her hand. Ning Chu winced a little and frowned, “Bite me again, and I’ll take you in for a neuter tomorrow!”

Of course, Black Bean didn’t understand a word, just kept clinging to her hand with its front paws and kicking with its back legs, taking another little bite.

It didn’t really hurt, but Ning Chu was getting frustrated. “Let go! I feed you every day, you ungrateful little thing!”

The pain wasn’t sharp, but suddenly, she felt something strange—letting Black Bean nibble her hand, she furrowed her brow, trying to understand the sensation.

Pain, with a faint hint of… pleasure?

Oh no! I don’t want to be a masochist!

Startled, Ning Chu quickly let Black Bean go. The cat jumped off her lap and bolted out of sight. “Ungrateful little beast…”

She muttered, staring in confusion at her recently bitten hand, utterly at a loss.

Why?

With a soft sigh, Ning Chu leaned on the table with her chin propped on one hand, absentmindedly clicking her mouse while occasionally glancing toward the window.

If you’re the timid type, being alone in a small room after watching a horror film could make anyone feel a little paranoid. But Ning Chu’s last two months had been steeped in the world of her web novel, and while her face stayed calm, her gaze toward the window and every corner of the room grew more frequent as time passed, her nerves gradually tightening.

“Nothing’s going to happen, right?”

She anxiously bit her lip and opened up a game, trying to distract herself.

But as her character kept dying, she only grew more uneasy.

She could almost feel an ominous presence creeping from all directions, as if any moment a maniac might suddenly burst in and target her.

She thought about taking a nap, but she was now too afraid to even blink.

Bang!

The sudden noise nearly made her heart stop. She whipped her head around, only to find Black Bean had knocked over the trash can.

Unable to stay seated, she got up and paced around the room for a while before stopping in front of the wardrobe.

She opened it, looking at Wen Yang’s shirt hanging deep inside.

“Maybe it won’t help, but at least I’ll feel a little more secure,” she muttered to herself, reaching out for the shirt and slipping it on.

Maybe it was just psychological, but wearing Wen Yang’s shirt actually seemed to calm her nerves a bit.

Taking a slow, steady breath, she could faintly catch his familiar scent lingering on it.

Then she rummaged through Zhang Shaoqing’s locker and pulled out a large iron wrench… It was the same one he’d used during the ghost-hunting adventure in the school building, and it gave her a renewed sense of security.

Calmer now, Ning Chu’s thoughts began to wander a bit…

Since Wen Yang’s clothes were working so well, maybe she could pack up all his clothes if she had to run?

Though he’d probably throw a fit if she did.

That guy’s so stingy; he barely spends money on food, let alone new clothes.

Knock, knock, knock~

The sudden knocking startled Ning Chu, her recently eased nerves tensing right back up as she looked at the door with suspicion.

Who could be here at this time?

After a brief silence, a voice came from the other side. “Ning Chu~ It’s me, Yan Xinya.”

“Xinya?”

“Yup!” A second later, Yan Xinya’s smiling face popped up in the window. “I climbed the fence to get in~”

“Huh?”

Ning Chu hurriedly got up and opened the door for her. “What are you doing here?”

The wolf-girl perked her ears and stepped into the dorm with curiosity, her gaze wandering around as she replied, “Weren’t you afraid of being alone this weekend? I thought I’d come and keep you company.”

“Who said I was afraid?” Ning Chu mumbled, locking the door behind them.

She looked up at Yan Xinya, who was wearing a cropped tee that showed a hint of her toned abs, and suddenly felt a lot more at ease.

If any pervert tried anything while the main character was away, Yan Xinya could totally beat them into oblivion!

“You’re really not scared? Then why didn’t you answer when I knocked?” Yan Xinya’s eyes fell on the large wrench in Ning Chu’s hand. “And this wrench… maybe a bit much?”

“I’m not scared.”

“Then I’ll head out?”

“Oh, come on, you’re already here~” Ning Chu instantly shifted to welcoming mode, enthusiastically guiding Yan Xinya to a chair and plopping her down. “Come on! Let’s play some games! Want an afternoon snack? My treat!”
